First time here and probably the WORST gel-x manicure I've ever had. I was nicked 3 times while they were attempting to clean up my cuticles with the clipper and file. To make mattered worse, the gel polish spilled onto and over my cuticle. Another manicurist took over and didn't do the job any justice. She even managed to polish over a few strands of cotton which is now baked into my nail polish. I wouldn't be surprised if the nails begin to lift after a week. I should have thoroughly read the reviews before coming here. I'm utterly disappointed and I hope I don't get an infection. While I was not seeking a discount on the service, there was not one offered. How do professionals look at this manicure and not offer anything in exchange for a bad job that they KNOW they did? Actually, I lied...there was a discount offered at the end. It was an imaginary $5 off likely assuming that a full $100 would be given as "round-up" tip. I'm never coming here again. read more

I only came here bc my usual nail shop down the street was completely booked. The owner is nice, but the staff is rude. Didn't even get a hello from the lady doing my feet and the woman who did my manicure completely rushed and you could tell because the very next day my gel polish started peeling. Not even 24 hours later. The worst part and what really has me mad is that the lady who did my feet cut my big toe so deep that I had pain walking as soon as I got up. My toe was bleeding so much and all she did was put CUTICLE REMOVER on top to stop the bleeding. Then I just saw her wipe the blood off her tool and put it back in her basket. I did not see anything new being opened or even sterilized. To top it off for the shitty job they do they have the audacity to charge more than better nail shops and have it be cash only. I thought, 'in the Hood' spots are suppose to be the BEST spots. I liked the owner a lot and also DIANE who did my brows was GREAT! she convinced me to wax my mustache, that I didn't know i had..lol. She was awesome. I loved the neighborhood people who came in the spot. THEY WERE THE BEST! :-) I'd go back just for them! pure uncensored comedy!! :-). Everyone seemed to love the owner just like she was their family... I LOVED THAT. However, I did not like the girl who did my nails, Lisa. FIRST the towel she used was dirty (check out my pics) with other people dried up skin on it! and just not clean. She looked at me funny when I didn't want to put my feet on it. Kelly does it again! Over and over. This is the only place I can go where I don't have to say fix this or this one is crooked or anything. All I have to do is state my desire one time and without fail, the end result is exactly what I want. My nails look great the price is reasonable, and the quality of work is unmatched by any Salon I've EVER been to. I can go a whole month without my nails looking like they need to be done. There's no lifting no chipping a no huge ridge at the base of the nail when they grow out. I drive into the city from Moval just to get my nails done. Friends say "you're going all the way to LA?" This place is old school and not in a good way. They still use buckets for pedicures. They don't do Ambrose nails and they only take cash! In this day and age at lease get swipe or a cash app to e process debit and credit cards. I will not be back. This is in the middle of the hood. Give me strength. Very Rude women.. there was a miscommunication and one of them women doing eyebrows, banned me after I asked if I could pay 40 instead of 45 due to miscommunication and error from another tech and her messing up my eyebrows and she yells no.. while another women says that it's ok that I pay $40.. the lady who yelled at me takes my money and tells me I'm banned.. a month later I walk in and talk to the women who says my $40 was acceptable and ask if it's ok that I come back and she says of course and there were no issues that trip or the next.. I go in in November and request a full set and the lady who yelled at me months ago immediately takes me and asks what I want, I tell her full set and she tells me the length I want Is long and is automatically $30 (not long @ all) plus $10 for gel .. I also got my feet done and it's $25 and again gel is extra $10 .. and apparently scraping your foot is extra and not included in the pedicure.. $80.. women is giving me attitude and I ask her to cut nails Lower and she says still long.. I can feel her wanting me to apparently not be there so I can say never mind but unfortunately i don't. Fast forward to 12/31/18 I get a refill and toes done again and the women who said I could come back does my nails and tells me it's gonna be $45.. and @ the end tells me $70 :/ now charges for gel are $15 dollars extra and I broke one nail so it's more and finished with "it just depends" .. they lied and overcharged for no reason. They're rude and I won't recommend going to the shop, they're unreliable and disrespectful. It's uncanny. They don't deserve to keep taking money from people they can't respect. They will up charge you if business is slow and change prices on you. Also too crowded with their equipment, very uncomfortable the way they position you if they want to rush and have 2 people work on you .. unhealthy conditions, needs more ventilation considering chemicals in the air. I got cut by the acrylic machine once and was bleeding so I refuse to go to anyone else in that shop but KELLY. She's super popular there and it can be hard to request her at times. Wish I could give negative stars. The owner of this place is so nasty. I got my nails done there and the next day the pinky broke. She changed the color for me and dikes the pinky down too much. I told her as much at the time but she said it was strong enough. Obviously it was not. I went the next day to get it fixed and was told that I would have to pay $3. Now mind you I tipped her $5 dollars for the job and fully intended on tipping again for the fix but the attitude was so nasty and the customer service. What happened to standing behind your work. This place is dirty and grimy. The towels are filthy and unwashed. I had to ask for a clean towel as she was about to use the same one she used on the previous person. My regular girl was busy so I went here but never again. If you care about quality work customer service and cleanliness DO NOT go to this nasty place. read more

My cousin brought me here because the price is really fair. By looking at the area and parking lot it's a bit worn. Walked in and was assisted right away. A young lady by the name of "T" sat me in a chair and brought out a foot bucket lined with plastic to put my feet in, nothing fancy. The prices are great but the service and quality of work suck! Everyone in there is either rude or pretend like they dont know english so you cant even communicate with them. The floors are extremely dirty and towels are not clean! There are flies swarming all around inside. They are not sanitary, they share tools, they are rough and straight careless. I was highly disappointed with this asian owned shop its way too dirty to be a nail salon with all women working there. Obviously this salon was put in the area to capitalize on the demographic, they do not care about the people and after sitting there and observing it was clear to see. I got a manicure here once for the first time in April of last year(2016). The service was great but I ended up finding a nail shop super close to me that I loved (at first) and tried to remain loyal to for as long as I could. After a year of several changes in staff and poor service I found my way back to Miny Nails around July of this year. However, this time around, I was referred by 2 of my colleagues who had been coming here for years. Additionally, I did not realize it at the time but once I walked in, I remembered that I really liked this place bc they did an awesome job on my nails. I say all this because I have been hesitant to write a 5 star review only to be let down immediately afterwards with inconsistent service. Fortunately, that is not the case here! It's been 3 months(approximately 9 visits) and I've consistently received quality manis and pedis! Everyone here is so helpful and really work hard together. The fact that I can walk in and see familiar faces makes me want to keep coming back. The customer service is special and I attribute this to the Owner Kelly's positive attitude and professionalism. It's hard to find a good nail shop that takes care of you quickly yet efficiently. I would highly recommend Miny Nails to all my friends and all that compliment my nails! I would like to give this place zero stars. I came in and asked a question about pricing. Because the service I was asking for was clearly a little bit cheaper than usual and the woman started talking down to me. Basically telling me that if I wanted to be cheap she was going to charge me extra. I asked her to explain to me why she is going to charge me extra to take gel polish off for my fill just because I don't want gel polish this time, just regular polish again. The explination she gave me made no sense so I asked her to explain Further because she wasn't making sense to me. While the salon was full another one of her coworkers then yelled across the entire salon then go somewhere that it makes sense! Extremely rude and extremely dirty.
