Everything looked so good! I got a few pastel de nata and a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was very good! I'm glad I bought two. I plan on trying other treats during my next visit. The other hiccup I experienced was with my drink order. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. I waited awhile for my drink because they made it as an iced drink when I wanted it hot. It seems like they messed a few orders up from what I noticed. My latte was okay, I don't think it was worth the wait. My first time experience with Paris Baguette was with the one in Midtown NY and I had always wished there was one in NJ too. And boy did I find one soon in Edison only, after moving to this neighborhood. This Paris Baguette location is so huge and they keep everything in the open for you to see. The cakes are not made behind the doors and I feel this is a great marketing technique to let the customers know that the fresh cakes or pastries they have come here to buy did not arrive in trucks nor locked in freezers for days. You must watch the pastry chefs making the cakes and you will know there is Art made right in front of you. They even have cool cake lockers for you to pick up your orders yourselves and they have good seating spaces both indoors and outdoors. Parking is not a challenge as they are covered by rear parking as the plaza where this bakery is located, gets crazily busy on weekends. Not to miss, the staff are super friendly and make great recommendations if you are to get lost in their sea of choices. Now keeping the best for the last, if you have a sweet tooth, look no further as they have the best cakes and sweet treats in town. The cream is so rich and light and the best part is that they don't dump the sugar on their creations and they are just adequate, making you crave for more. The shop is usually always busy but it makes sense because the area is generally busy. We got food poisoning. We came here for desserts and we got food poisoning from our selection. We ordered a box of sweets and two coffees and within 2 hours of eating this garbage, we were sick with indigestion, nausea, extreme smell sensitivity and finally, fatigue. I have to say this was disappointing, especially when I read the reviews left by last customers whom have made a comment to the sanitary habits and quality of freshness in the bakery. This is also my second time here in years and certainly my last! Here's my verdict. This place is overwhelmed with many people who want dessert, breads, drinks etc. I do believe that the volume of patrons is translating into an egotistical "it's-not-a-big-deal" mindset in the operation of this establishment and becomes a direct issue for the consumer. That's never good for business and I will always review ANY place I decide to give my business too. Another thing I noticed is the lack of general appreciation and simple consideration from the staff to the customer. I witnessed a person sweeping with a broom while people are actively trying to build their food tray. It's food!!!!! At least pick up what fell, don't bring a dirty dustpan and huge broom out to the bakery floor where a person is choosing their food. This is the 3rd location I've recently visited. No comparison to Morristown and Livingston. I'd skip this location In the future. No parking for handicapped. Entrance was still not cleaned off from the snow/ice on Sunday, today is Wednesday. And quite honestly, I think the chocolate croissant was left over, quite dry and brittle. First occasion: My wife used a gift card to order pastries online from this location, when we went to pick it up and to her surprise the attendant in the store saying that the pastry has not been paid for, now we were left with gift card that was charged to and no pastry to take home. I went back there after Thanksgiving and discussed missing croissants with attendant, she called the manager, and the answer i got was : How can you not notice 2 croissants are missing? My answer is they were placed in the cardboard box so nothing is visible unless you open the box. i guess my mistake was trusting people working there who knowingly or unknowingly did not place rest of my order in the box!! My purchase total was around $70, and if they were decent people at least they will accommodate my complaint and reimburse me for the 2 croissants. it seems to me the people working at this place think everyone is like themselves, dishonest and not-customer friendly. HOWEVER, the young lady who took my order seemed quite INEXPERIENCED and UNABLE to read numbers and letters correctly. She copied down both my phone# and wordings and name on the cake incorrectly, AND did not even bother to ask/confirm w me who was standing right in front of her! If you're unsure, simply ask/confirm w the customer. It's the most BASIC customer service skill! A couple of young ladies standing around the counter and her, and all communicated in Spanish. Another wonderful Korean bakery chain which I've visited in several different cities now and it's always a great place to browse. It's always packed full of people, and we always enjoy coming in here. This one is in Edison right next to the Kung Fu Tea here, and we liked it, but at the same time it's a little pricey, and some of the baked items are much less good than the others. It is French inspired and influenced business based in Korea. Paris Baguette is not just a cafe, it is truly an experience. The cafe is designed for social experience: modern little private nooks, low and high tables on the inside as well as sitting on the outside of the cafe. They have anything from a chocolate chip cookie to a macaroon cake! You pick up a tray, grab anything you like, and eventually find a spot to sit down and enjoy. I had a chance to try their pastries, sticky bun and a mango smoothie. The sticky bun was just enough sweet and moist. The mango smoothie was not loaded with sugar and perfect temperature and pastries were fresh and crispy. I would definitely come back and try it again. A little pricey but not unexpected for a dessert place. The slices are portioned for 1 person or if you don't enjoy sweets perhaps you can share with another person. The mango slice pictured in my review is so good. I highly recommend. They have cute little detailing and Paris baguette is right by some awesome stores and the Hmart. I am so happy for this Paris Baguette. They have the curry croquette, which I can never find at other locations. UNFORTUNATELY, they put a tray of identical, unlabeled croquettes right next to the curry ones. I assumed those were curry too so I had grabbed those instead and they were not.
