Although given the unfortunate circumstance I'm glad we made the decision for her to seek care here. First and foremost the staff and attending physicians are outstanding. The nurses and receptionists alway displayed warmth, empathy, attentiveness, and care. I want to especially call out and thank my mother's Oncologist - Dr. Ernest Lo. Dr. Lo was able to provide excellent communication from the onset of the disease, plan on the course of action, and status every step of the way. When the cancer advanced, Dr. Lo was able to to articulate what was happening and the different actions we can take. I feel like Dr. Lo made every possible cancer fighting decision possible while balancing the qualify of life for my mother. We really appreciated the level of transparency as we were informed where everything stood. We were educated and provided guidance when it was time to make the decision on end of life preparations. Throughout all of our interactions Dr. Lo was able to show care and compassion. The facility where Epic Care is located is very clean and kept up-to-date. With the pandemic going on extra precautions are taken to keep the area sanitized at all times and appropriate spacing provided. Parking is always easy to access. I don't wish for anyone for to have a need for this service, but if necessary, I would highly recommend Epic Care.

We were given a call on a Friday afternoon for an opening the following morning, confirmed details with the woman who called, and arrived to a separate woman downstairs saying the appointment was cancelled because we didn't answer. Wtf? We spoke to her because SHE CALLED US. I'll never forget how sad and disappointed their patient was driving home and listening to them sniffling and fighting back tears.

Worst, most unprofessional doctors office I've ever been to. She ended up ordering the wrong one that my insurance didn't cover. Instead of the office taking care of it with my insurance, the front office manager insisted I had to call LabCorp and deal with it with my insurance on my own. She is extremely rude by the way. Even my insurance company apologized on their behalf stating they should have been the ones to contact insurance because how would I know what questions to ask, I'm just the patient. The insurance company put me on hold while they called the office directly and told the office manager that they needed to handle, and it's not on the patient. Basically after a lot of back and forth the office said there was nothing they can do. Didn't try to order the correct test, didn't try to work with the insurance company. Nothing. Also the doctors office is a renovated house. The doors to the rooms have huge gaps and everyone can hear your business.

He is a careful listener, welcomes discussion when it comes to difficult health issues, and when he doesn't have an answer he will actually say so (unlike a lot of other doctors I have seen) and refer me to a specialist who can help. I can't comment on the weight management aspect of his office as I have never used it. However his allergy therapy is great, and has gotten my allergies under control. Another thing about his practice is that is excellent is his diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. Although we are still trying to figure out the root of my insomnia problems, he has run many tests that other doctors I have seen had never heard of, and we are getting closer and closer to finding the cause. I have talked to several patients who have been seeing him for sleep issues and I have yet to hear anything negative about his practice. He is always learning new things and has a genuine passion for medicine. Every time I see him he tells me about different conferences he is going to, new diagnostic equipment he is setting up, and programs he is taking in order to gain the knowledge and abilities required to help his patients more effectively. This is a trait a lot of doctors lose after getting their degree. It is refreshing to see a practitioner that, after so many years in practice, is still trying to learn more and is still passionate about what he or she does for a living. I haven't had any issues with his nursing staff, who I find to be both friendly and attentive. Dr. Bhat frequently has open appointments (within, at most, 1 to 2 days of calling) and if it is urgent he will ask you to come in at a certain time-frame and attempt to squeeze you into his schedule. I have had a lot of Primary Care doctors. Dr. Bhat is one of the few I trust with my health.

I remember this male patient in particular who made quite an impression on my mind because he had lost 86 pounds in 6 months and was still going steady. Some things that I really liked about Dr. Bhat were that he was very experienced and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. He has a board certification in Bariatrics (medicine of weight loss), which means he's a licensed professional in this field, and that takes away some skepticism. Also, he has great doctor-patient interaction and emphasizes on patient education a lot. The treatment plan includes balancing meals, counting steps, diet pill prescription (optional, which raises your basal metabolic rate), lipo shots (optional, which helps the liver in mobilizing stored fat). He teaches patients how to balance their meals with proteins and omega-3, diagnoses whether they are weight loss resistant, instructs how to prevent carbohydrate craving and night eating syndrome, and holds tele-seminars regularly to update his patients on current knowledge. All in all from what I've seen, the program is a very healthy and medically sound approach to losing weight. P.S. If you have allergies and sleep problems, he is able to the draw the connection to weight gain because he also practices Internal Medicine and specializes in Allergy, Bariatrics and Sleep Medicine. I was clearly told that the refund would be processed, yet it is now June and I still have not received the money or a clear explanation for the delay. Over the past several months, communication has been inconsistent and unprofessional. I have had to repeatedly follow up for updates, only to receive vague responses or no resolution at all. A medical clinic should operate with integrity, transparency, and accountability, especially when handling patients' finances. While the staff may have initially appeared helpful, failing to honor a promised refund for this long is unacceptable. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to carefully review financial policies and documentation before making payments. As far as communication, I am very disappointed with the level of communication and professionalism from this clinic. Since February, I have called on seven different occasions and left multiple voicemails requesting a call back from the manager regarding my unresolved refund issue.
