Finally received my first call to set up my sleep study. Too bad they were to call prior to…read moreNovember 16, 2024 since my doctor appointment was 11/6 and he assured me that 10 days was the longest....It is May 13, 2025..... The semi annoyed message from a male at 925-325-2744 said this was my 3rd and final call. This is a lie. I laughed so hard and had to replay the message multiple times. I have all calls back to June 2024 and voicemails back to December 2019 on my phone. This is the very first call. Now, I called more than a dozen times between November 16, 2024 and December 21, 2024....AND I followed up with an email letting them know that I was done reaching out and they needed to call me because I was requesting a new provider and a new sleep center. Which, I immediately did in January 2025 because this company was a joke. I tried to be give grace because of the holidays, but.....it's the middle of MAY! 176 days since the day I was referred is when they finally bothered to respond. I've have already seen a new sleep doctor AND already had my new sleep study. Six months is not an appropriate care time for a specialist. I was able to have my sleep study with 4 days of seeing the new specialist...FOUR days, but these folks think 6 months is acceptable to just start the process to schedule people. Not everyone knows the insurance process better than the people that used to actually do it for a living. I call BS. Don't do it. Don't even waste your time and ask your sleep doctor to go to a different facility not tied to JIVA or Dr. McDannald. Run from these providers.

The service was/is horrible. I would never use it again. They don't return calls they can't find…read morereferrals. It was a terrible experience.

My encounters and communications with Dr. Manjari's office staff were more than satisfactory. They…read morehandled my request for an appointment to pick up an at-home sleep study quickly and efficiently and provided the steps necessary to get Medicare authorization through my primary care doctor. I was able to pick up the at home sleep study test kit in a few days, and the in-office instructions on set-up and use were decent enough once I supplemented that with a quick YouTube online search on proper use for a successful test and data entry into the equipment. But then the wheels came off! I dropped the kit off to Dr. Nathan's office as promised the very next morning before 11 AM. I was told that due to the holidays, it would Nathan up to two weeks to view the data and write the report of my sleep study to my John Muir primary care doctor. I was told that the study and the data held in the device was quite good and I could expect the report in due course and timely. It has now been three weeks since the device was returned and the data entered into Dr. Nathan's office based system, but I have no report whatsoever, no response to my inquiries, and even telephone calls from my primary care doctor to Dr. Nathan (that apparently owns a financial interest in this sleep clinic) have been totally ignored. There is no justifiable reason why Dr. Nathan should take three weeks to compile what is almost certainly a machine-based standard report based on the electronic data downloaded from the sleep study device. The delay is bad enough, but being completely ignored is perplexing and very disappointing. I will not return to this clinic and I would not recommend it based on my experience over these last three weeks.

He has been thorough in answering all the questions I asked him during my appointment visits to the clinic. I feel confident in his professional knowledge and his ability to provide competent healthcare in his specialty. He has a very professional staff that goes the extra mile to accommodate appointment scheduling and support services for me. In this regard, I would like to highlight his staff member Giana Acosta, who has exemplified great professionalism and excellent support service in all her interaction with me on the telephone as well as in person during my appointment visits at the clinic.

Both appointments with the physician started about 30 minutes late, with little communication or respect for patients' schedules. For a specialty practice, I expected a higher level of professionalism and organization. During my follow-up appointment, I asked for information on sleep position therapy and was told to look it up online. Rather than providing educational materials, a PDF, or even emailing basic guidance, I was shown a generic product image. I left without any meaningful documentation or support. The administrative side was equally frustrating. I had to follow up myself after my insurance adjusted the claim, and communication regarding billing was unclear throughout the process. While I understand how deductibles work and paid the amount determined by my insurance, the overall experience lacked transparency and patient-centered service. Interactions with some staff members were dismissive, especially when asking reasonable questions about billing and insurance. At one point, comments about patients being upset over deductibles were made loudly enough to be heard from the waiting room, which I found inappropriate and unprofessional. Most concerning, my sleep study results still had not been uploaded to MyChart two months later, requiring additional follow-up just to access my own medical information. Due to the combination of these issues, I ultimately filed a formal grievance with my health insurance regarding the quality of communication and follow-through. I hope the practice takes patient feedback seriously and improves both its clinical and administrative processes.
