Do not do business with this dealership. I recently came off a Traverse lease and was told by my leasing company, US Bank, that Paramus Chevrolet was a designated return location. I even confirmed this afterwards with Fred, the Business Development Manager at the dealership. During my call with Fred, although he expressed disappointment that I will not be leasing another Chevy vehicle, he told me that they do lease returns Mon-Fri from 9 to 5 and that it will take 5 minutes to process. Upon arriving at the dealership this morning to return the Traverse and arranging for a ride home, I was immediately told by the General Manager that they are not a designated return location. After which I described my phone call with Fred 4 business days ago and the GM asked Fred to come to the front. Fred acknowledged the conversation and what he told me but said he has no room for the vehicle and cannot take it b/c of construction on the grounds. I asked him when the construction began and he answered "June", well before our call just 4 days ago in early December. I then turned around and showed him about 30 empty parking spaces. He said there was nothing he could do and after I thanked him for nothing he wished me a Merry Christmas. This dealership obviously only cares about new sales/leases and wants nothing to do with customer service. I assume they rejected the return out of spite only b/c I am not leasing a new vehicle with them. They are a horrible representation of Chevrolet. Stay away from this dealership, go elsewhere if you are smart. 12/11/14 reply to Fred's 12/10/14 response. Fred, I realize you are trying to justify what happened for you General Manager's benefit, but a simple apology would have made more sense than alleging that you told me over the phone that you could not accept the vehicle. Had you done this, I would not have brought the vehicle to the dealership. Your response is completely illogical and I think the readers of this post will figure out for themselves another reason why they should not do business with this dealership. How can they possibly trust that they are getting a fair price on a new lease/purchase if one of the dealership managers cannot even tell the truth about what was said/not said on a telephone call. With respect to your comment about leased vehicles remaining on-site for a lengthy period of time, this is not true either. All leasing companies (i.e.-the actual owner of the vehicle), including US Bank, send out their transporter w/i 10-20 days after lease return to retrieve the vehicle for auction prep if the receiving dealership does not wish to purchase the vehicle. I find it amazing that this all could have been avoided had you simply taken the 5 minutes to receive the vehicle as you told me you would do over the phone when I called last week. Also, you may want to advise US Bank that your dealership has no interest in being designated as a return location. read more

From the moment we stepped into the clean, quiet, air-conditioned salesroom, we were greeted warmly and introduced to Tony. We were initially apprehensive after a previous awful experience at another dealership, but Tony quickly put us at ease. He was friendly and honest; completely transparent with us every step of the way. Before we even sat in the car, he was up-front that the low online price we found was a no-haggle price, and that was fine with us. After our test drive, he introduced us to his manager Martin who walked us through the service records of the car to further put us at ease that this was a great car-- it had almost 100,000 miles on it, and we had no doubt it would see us through another 100,000 miles. When it came to the numbers, Tony was again completely transparent. None of this used car "focus on the monthly payments" or "I'm gonna go talk to the boss/bank, wish me luck!" squares-on-a-piece-of-paper nonsense. There weren't any sneaky "oh that price included discounts which you don't qualify for" surprises, either. The price we saw was the price we got. Tony started with the no-haggle sale price of the car and then went down the chart with us to explain the various fees and taxes, being honest about which were optional, to get the final price for financing. All of the numbers made sense-- this is how it should be done! The following day we were given the great news-- we were approved for financing, and at a reasonable rate! Tony, Martin, and the team went above and beyond to help us get this car-- they knew we were in a tight spot, and they went to bat for us. The paperwork took a few hours, but they were up-front about how long it would take, and Wil was very patient with me as I read the fine print and double-checked the numbers. Finally we got our temp plates and keys, they even put in a brand new car battery, and we were ready to go! We walked into Paramus Chevrolet apprehensive and defensive against shady used car trickery. We walked out with our new-to-us Camry, overwhelmed with joy and genuinely feeling as though we were part of a family. I didn't believe that good dealerships like this really existed, and it's super important that we support them. I cannot recommend Paramus Chevrolet enough-- even though we bought a Toyota, our positive experience has sold us on Chevy for life. Thank you Tony and Martin! read more

This is my proof that Paramus Chevrolet Mechanics are committing fraud and stealing from the customers. Attached you will see the Mass Air Flow Wiring Harness, which I asked to be replaced as it was cracking maybe to old age, which I do not think so but I gave up that argument. The next picture is the Mass Air Flow Sensor connector showing the 8 pins. From left to right there are 8 pins, 8 pins I checked before I took the part home to install on my mother's care from AutoZone. You need to know I drove the car with this new Mass Air Flow Sensor I installed myself along with a Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor, both codes left once I replaced leaving me with O2 Sensor codes and my mother took it to Paramus Chevy since I have a line of duty injury with my back. So pay attention to Pin 8 it is bent flat that is what happens when an inexperienced or lazy mechanic forces the connector on to the Mass Air Flow Sensor, which I did not do. Here is the fraud, Pins 3, 4, & 5 are bent to the side. Anyone who works on cars can tell you this is not possible, the pins bend flat like Pin 8 or they go in as the wiring harness is a flat plug with 8 pin holes. So this mechanic must have used a pen or the same Phillips Head Screwdriver used to remove the part to bend the pins since there is two screw removal and replace in less than 5 minutes. Meanwhile the bill came to $1500 with $900 in labor at $250 per hour with almost $250 for a brand new Mass Air Flow Sensor. I think the Mechanic screwed up and when I asked for the old part they panicked and thought I am a dummy that knows nothing about car repair. I want to speak to management to address this or I will file a complaint with Chevrolet Corporate HQ, and file a complaint with BBB again Paramus Chevrolet. This is sad because this dealership has treated my family well in the Sales Department but if the Service Department is cheating the people it is time to runaway from them. You just lost a sell cause my mother was speaking about replacing her older car but between the crappy itemized bill, that doesn't explain what parts they changed, or how they got to $900 Labor cost and charging 3% for using a credit card cause people just carry $1500 in cash to pay for service charges it is a complete mess back there. read more

My wife and I were in the market for a new car. No rush, our family car was just getting old. We looked at VW, Nissan, Ford and Honda. We hadn't considered a Chevy, but stopped in to see (specifically) George based on a friend's recommendation. He was a nice guy with a zero-pressure sales approach. Exactly what I like. He told us about a great deal going on with the Malibu (20% off). We liked the car and went home to think about it. The next day I test drove one near work and liked it so we returned that night to check them out a bit more. George was off so Paul helped us. He was very knowledgeable about cars, esp. GM and very nice too. Also, zero-pressure and he wanted us to make an informed decision. We REALLY liked him. We wanted leather, but Chevy only offers this on the LT and requires two expensive packages. The upcharge over the more basic LS was big (almost $4k). Also, there was an incredible deal on the LS (25% off) that, for me, was impossible to walk away from. Given the big delta, I wanted the LS - my wife wanted the LT bc she really wanted leather. Paul satisfied us both by upping the deal on the LT and giving us a car we will really enjoy. It was a short negotiation - not like the classic multi-hour up-and-down situation I've had at other dealers. I have no clue how they did it, but the choice of Malibu over the other brands we looked at was easy to make. We closed the deal the next day in another very nice experience. Russ showed us some extended warranty options which we declined but I found it very informative and also zero-pressure sales approach. We took the car and have it about one week. We love it. So...if you want to work with nice people who genuinely seem to care about your satisfaction without the fuss and aggravation, head to Paramus Chevrolet. Thanks guys!!! read more

Not sure how to review this place, but just want future buyers/leasers to be aware. We're tethered to this place because we got strong armed into buying a maintenance warranty (so we pay $100 extra a month to get a $60 oil change every 6 months that takes no less than 3 hours even with an appointment) We brought our car in last year because it was literally powering down and shutting off while driving. Very safe, very cool. They "fixed" the car, and it broke again a literal week later, exact same problem - shutting off while driving and stranded again. We were sort of assuming it had been fixed correctly the first time but wouldn't ya know it, totally different part that broke and is causing the same problem. Fast forward to November, it AGAIN is powering down on the highway, literally shutting off while driving! And also some added fun of it overheating. When it rains it pours right? We bring it back a third time(!) for the powering down and the first time for the overheating and it ends up costing us $1,700+ for a new water pump (these are $150, labor costs are wild out here) and whatever else they decided to fix. Fine, I get that! Wouldn't you know a *month* and some change later it breaks.. again.. and is overheating...again, and we're quoted $500+.. for a totally different part that's broken and is causing the same problem but is not the same part they just replaced - shocking. (We're at $2,200 now for those keeping count on top of the times we paid to have them fix the problem) Feels like we either have the worst luck or this car is terrible? My husband asked to speak to a manager 4 times and was denied, which feels like a pretty sketchy way to run a business when you're asking people to pay thousands of dollars to get your car fixed multiple times. I really didn't want to give them one star, only because how great of a dealership this place is. I bought two vehicles since 2011. A 2012 Camaro & a 2013 Tahoe. I thought I was done. I'm like a little kid in the toys store when I go here. Always say I'm just going to buy a car but leave with a car. Past experience was awesome. Today 03/08/2016 however had the worst experience ever. I went in dressed with my work cloths with my wife. I felt as they used race and color and dress code now a days to say the follow, " are you going to buy today or just looking to make the $50 offer Chevy sent you. After I set the sales rep Andy Soltis straight and explained that no I was there to buy a car. He then looked to see if a sale was really gonna happen. Started asking me if I can afford $1,000 car a month, if I'm trading or getting out of lease? I wanted to get out of a lease which he explained was a dead deal now a days and boom wanted to go else where for another customer and pick up a car for that person. While we were sitting there another customer walked in and Andy wanted to see that other client. Even though the lease trade was a dead deal. I wanted make the wife happy and buy her the Suburban. This dude didn't even run my credit and already thinks I can't afford a car. Then he grabs another jerk who asks me again if I can afford the car. Dealers use this tactics with sales rep where they grab another sales rep and the other one acts as a manager when they really are just a sales rep. I had the best car buying experience in the world at Paramus Chevrolet. My salesperson Bryan A was the nicest sales person I ever worked with-He is golden, hold on to him forever. Bryan and I started talking on a Friday, I explained to him what I was looking for, and my term as to when I wanted to buy-I went on Friday, and before we even talked about anything related to purchase, Bryan took the time to listen to my needs, go over numbers with me, -since that is what I wanted to do- showed me different models of what I was interested in, and left me with the ball in my court. It was for this reason that I knew I wanted to go back on Saturday and do business with him. He took the time on Saturday to show me more models, test drive, and do more numbers. When I found the car I wanted, I also had brought my girlfriend with me. Her credit score is better than mine. Paramus Chevrolet suggested about having her as a co -signer, and the reason this was a great suggestion, was because they got me and us, a better interest rate based on her credit. That is a dealership doing a great job for the customer!! I bought a beautiful 2011 Camaro 2SS with 16k miles, Ruby Red, and a 2 year Maintenance and Service Plan. It is a beautiful car, and Paramus Chevrolet couldn't have done a better job! In addition, Russ in Finance was great, as well as Martin, Bryant's, Manager. It was the best car experience I ever had, and Paramus Chevrolet made it happen. Paramus Chevrolet advertises on TV with $0 down, $0 security, $0 etc. etc. Its a big sham. I called them on Saturday 8am two weeks ago and expressed my interest in their advertisement lease specials... the internet sales rep Adaria Gordon called me back... we played email tag couple times, but in the end have ignored my serious desire to close such a deal based on their over-hyped TV advertisments... This is the main reason I don't ever go into dealers where they will try to get you to waste hours of your time and tire you down... She asked I come down to the dealership to go thru options etc...typical sales ploy... Paramus Chevrolet - be truthful in your advertising and your customers...I am ready to make lease deals for two vehicles... i won't be wasting or ever will even consider dealing with Paramus Chevrolet again for their bait and switch tactics...what a joke. After I posted this review, the dealership Internet Manager sent me an email saying he would make things right. Adaria Gordan - the internet sales specialist sent me an email the next day offering same vehicle for 3 years at $249/mo.and requested I come to dealership,.... when I have requested for the advertised 2 years $0 down, $0 security ! etc., Paramus Chevrolet pure bait and switch ..this business has no ethics, integrity and definitely no truth in their advertising... this is good case to file complaint with Better Business Bureau. read more

A week ago our Nanny was driving the suburban on Wednesday and noticed a rattling in the passenger fron tire. I told her to call service and get the vehicle in as every friday night we drive 4 hours (220 miles) to ski in Vermont and I did not want to have a problem at night many miles from home and with children in the vehicle. The initial call was received by the receptionist in serice and we got the expected runaround about how busy Paramus is and they could work us in the next week. I attempted to get my salesman (Tim Tarrant) but as luck would have it he was off on Thursday. I called Tim Gannon (Service Manager) who could not have been more helpful. He told us to come in immediately. When we arrived the service desk know exactly who we were, why we were there and that Mr. Gannon wanted us serviced immediatly. I got a call at work within two hours and we had a broken axel, shot barings, needed new tires, balancing, differential servicing ....none of which suprised me. The car was washed and ready for our Friday night drive and I couldn't be more happy with Tim's service. Tim did more for Paramus Chevrolet more than any advertising possibly could have done. I will buiy my next vehicle at Paramus and continue to have my vehicle serviced because Tim certainly understands what service is all about and I was comfortable knowing my family was safe. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with this dealership and regret purchasing my vehicle from them. I originally came in to buy a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle that was clearly advertised online as certified. However, while going through the paperwork, I was suddenly told that the vehicle was not actually certified unless I paid extra for it. After a long back-and-forth, they eventually agreed to certify it, but the entire situation felt misleading and dishonest from the start. The customer service throughout the process was terrible. The sales representative was unpleasant, unhelpful, and made the entire buying experience stressful instead of exciting. To make matters worse, when I left with the car, I was only given one key. Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are supposed to come with two keys, but I was told it would "cost them too much money" to provide another one. I then had to spend an additional $500 out of pocket just to get the second key that should have already been included. Overall, this was one of the worst car-buying experiences I've had. " Exceeded my Expectations! " The Paramus Chevrolet dealership in an whole is really nice and welcoming, they really wanted me to be happy, they are very flexible in prices and discounts to make the customer completely satisfied. But what made me really amazed was the Sales Consultant I dealt with, Mohammed Alhomsi, he's an amazing person! I'm also a sales person and deal with lots of people, but I rarely or never met such an incredible person, felt the whole time like he isn't thinking about the few bucks he makes, but how to make me completely satisfied and comfortable with the vehicle i'm leasing, He was readily available by telephone or email to answer questions and set up an appointment for viewing the vehicle, he took the time to give me all of my options and was never pushy, When I was ready to come down I came out less than 2 hours later with a brand new car, He took the time to make sure I knew how everything worked and was set up properly as far as connecting the bluetooth with my phone, etc. it was a pleasure getting to know him, and working with him, he really knows his stuff, I highly recommend Mohammed Alhomsi Sales Consultant in Paramus Chevrolet, I promise, you won't regret it! read more

I never write bad reviews and just let things be because I'm a firm believer in karma but i feel the need to warn others bc I feel cheated, scammed, bullied and I Wish I can give them ZERO stars. ABSOLUTELY Rude and unprofessional. I will never lease or finance a car from this company again and I will make sure that none of my friends or family do as well. I have bumper to bumper coverage and they said my light bulb is covered but has to be ordered and so I had to go back another day. Long story short, they insisted that they never said my bulb would be covered and I wasted 3 mornings with this unorganized and lying company. The manager of services was so rude and unkind and was accusing me of looking for free service, ummmm hello of course I wanted free service because that's what I WAS TOLD! You cannot tell me I would owe $0 and then try to charge me $800 for a light bulb. Had they told me what I was getting done would cost me then I'd be prepared for it. Anyways, this company was rude and handled this situation very immaturely and very unprofessionally. I can't wait for my last payment so I can be done with Chevrolet. The following things made my experience at Paramus Chevrolet more pleasant than the previous dealer I have gone to: 1. Communication. After dropping my car off, the service people called to update on the progress, and made sure I was aware of any additional costs or issues. 2. Loaner car. There was a loaner car available for me. At a previous dealership, I was told there was a loaner available, and then discovered on my arrival that was not the case. Paramus Chevy made sure there was a loaner, and gave me a car with AWD (the Trax) during the upcoming snowstorm. They also allowed me to drop my car off early and pick up the loaner early in light of that snowstorm. 3. Honesty. In addition to the loaner issue mentioned above, Paramus Chevy was honest with me about their ability to perform the service, and made it possible to schedule further service at a later date when they were not able to complete the service in one day. They were also up front about costs, and alerted me when additional costs might be incurred. Adding the above to the overall friendliness and professionalism experienced at Paramus Chevrolet, I have to say that I will definitely plan to use your service in the future. read more

mala experiencia con una troca q compre la llanta marcaba q estaba baja y me dijeron q la iban a arreglar antes de sacar el truck ., pues lla cuando lo sacamos alos 3 dias marcaba llanta baja fui tres veces al delar y al final me dijeron q eso no era culpa de ellos la llanta tenia un clavo y q la iban a cambiar ., pues q antes solo era el aire escusas sin sentido pero aver tengan cuidado ellos solo quieren dinero y el cliente no les importa creo q una estrella es mucho para ellos pero q tengan suerte robando a la jente e dicho bye Bad experience with a truck that I bought, the tire marked that it was low and they told me that they were going to fix it before taking the truck out. Well, when we took it out after 3 days, it marked a low tire, I went to the report three times and in the end they told me that That was not their fault, the tire had a nail and they were going to change it. When i first walked into the Paramus Chevrolet Dealership on June 21,2013 I was met by Mr Bob Brooks who was pleasant and friendly and most of all very helpful . I explained to Mr Brooks that i was looking for a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro in the Infernal Orange color. They did not have this particular color in stock but he insured me that he would do his very best to search for that Camaro and color with all of the the features that i needed . i had to leave the dealership so i told him to let me know when ever he would find one. By the next day i received a phone call from Mr Brooks stating that he had located a camaro with the color i wanted and all the features i requested i was very pleased by this because i have been to other dealerships where they will try to convince the the customer to settle for what they have in stock instead of searching for the vehicle like Mr Bob Brooks did. I then purchased the vehicle the following day and as of today i am enjoying my Camaro thanks to Mr Brooks. I will make sure to refer Mr Brooks to my Friends and Family . read more
