The first time I came here about four months ago, it was decent. But ever since it has been declining in the number of vendors that participate. Today not even 1/16 of the vendors were there and they had the audacity not to tell me as I walked in to pay my admittance fee. read more

I visited Paramount Swap Meet for the first time and was pretty disappointed. The place was almost empty, with very few vendors selling merchandise. The main attraction seemed to be a live band concert rather than an actual swap meet experience. If you're going there expecting to shop for good deals--either new or used items--you'll likely be let down. There were very limited options, and the few vendors selling used items were pricing them as if they were brand new. Overall, it didn't feel like a true swap meet where you can browse, find hidden gems, or score bargains. BED BUGGG ALLERT! I went there today around 11am 11/29/25 Stand W43 had men pants and Construction visibility vests. When I came close I noticed a Huge bed bug crawling out from between the folds of the pants, onto the top! I immediately told my mom let's get the f"" out of here. Cool swap meet though most vendors sell the exact same products. First visit in over twenty five years. There were MANY empty vendor spaces. Perhaps it was the cold weather on the day i visited or perhaps this is the way it always is at this swap meet. I still made a few purchases for items for my truck but I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon read more

Paramount Swap Meet has been around since 1955 and it is one of the few swap meets that open 7 days a week. The marketplace is located in the same lot as the Paramount Drive-In Theatres. Free parking is available with plenty of available spots to park after 12 PM, but you can also pay $2 for a preferred parking spot on Saturday. Personally I wouldn't pay for preferred parking because it is just few minutes of additional walk from the free lot to the front entrance. Entrance fee: $2 per person. I didn't find anything unique for this swap meet. Whatever items you get here (e.g. construction safety vests & hats, kitchen wares, mattresses, soccer balls, detergents, power tools, various video games, etc) then you can probably find them at other local swap meets. Our party got here a bit late (1 PM) and some vendors already closed down before 3 PM. Face cover is required for entry, but not everyone really follows the rule so just be on the lookout. It's a-okay place to check out, but I wouldn't drive out of the way just to visit here. read more

Double standards. I brought my puppy once and personal made a big deal and wouldn't let us in. Said theres signs everywhere posted that dogs are not allowed. 2 weeks now, and im here again and I see all kinds of people with their dam dogs everywhere. Signs are still posted, how or why where they allowed in??? Who picks and chooses? Anyways, Management sucks ass, no one comes out to talk to you, they send regular works who dont know what to say or answer. Just makes everything more frustrating. Entrance fee $2.50 on weekends. Weekday $1.50 Place has really changed since my last review. NO RE ENTRY They no longer offer the re-entry stamp so if you leave, you have to pay again to get inside. They started this policy during covid (not sure why) and just left it. CASH CASH CASH Some Vendors will take Zelle , Food court charges $1 fee to use card FOOD Theres more items offered at the snack bar and no longer a food truck outside of Somerset Entrance. Food options have increased, they sell good coffee in the morning and atole on the weekends . I have heard people complain that cold drinks are pricey though, Id take in a coke/water in your purse. BATHROOMS are always CLEAN, staff member is there all day cleaning, restocking paper, they do have feminine products but you ask the lady and she sells you one for 50 cents Preferred Parking $5 on weekends/Tuesday They REMODELED the swap meet so theres not longer a large second hand section. Most of the stands were moved to 2 other lines and the rest of the people are scattered around. Its just not the same. The price increase for vendors really phased out a lot of the second hand vendors. The rest of the "new" vendors sell the typical items but theres a unique stand here and there. Saturdays is pretty empty for a weekend. I had heard around that Saturdays were starting to do well but vendor prices increased and vendors were discouraged . I think the swap meet would rather see empty spaces than offer better rates to attract vendors. So def recommend Tuesday and Sunday read more

Driving down Paramount and I saw this was open. Sure I'll pay a dollar and go inside. I just always remember swap meets being a weekend thing but how fun! I did find some amazing deals. I got the coolest shirt for a dollar. That was awesome. I might make a routine of this. Get some exercise go on a dig -athon. Then carry the big bags of clothes all around the parking lot total workout! Win-win all the way around! This might be the only way to work out ! read more

I've been coming to this swap-meet for years but now I don't go as much as I used to due to the fact that a lot of the things sell for prices similar to the stores or mall. I remember this was the place to go and get a lot and not spend so much. This last time I went I didn't buy a lot and I still walked out with having spent close to $70 and I had to watch what I spent money on because some things just seemed better for me to buy at the store and have the option of returning or exchanging. It's still pretty cool to go and walk around and look at stuff that is something that hasn't changed. I was surprised when I went they had a live band playing and there were taco trucks. Entry is $2 for adults. I get parking on Somerset, theres also parking on Rosecrans. Also I recommend going on a Sunday when there's a lot of stands, I've gone on Saturdays and there's not much. read more

This place has changed so much over the years. Vendors come and go so fast out of this place. Sometimes it makes for a smaller swap meet than normal but the have the staples. You can get all the makeup and dresses and pants your little heart desires. They have all the little toy booths and video games and audio stuff. I go for socks ok now wait don't laugh. It was okay. My first and only swap meet. I don't know what else to compare it to. In my opinion it was just okay. The tacos I give 1 star. Terrible. How can you mess up tacos? The tacos had no flavor. I would still recommend for other things. I've been there twice so far. If you do go and you find a vendor you like and will like to revisit, please write down the station number. Otherwise you will walk around all day in the hot sun looking for the vendor and still not find the vendor. It is a very big place. Great parking options. Busy place. Price $2 to enter read more

This is a tremendous place to find what you are looking for. I found everything I needed at a reasonable price. This is a good place to walk, eat shaved ice, and look around. I absolutely enjoy how this place gets filled up with vendors and people as before, COVID really made this place look like a junk yard. Now it's filled with interesting things and trinkets that'll be useful in your everyday life. I personally would recommend anyone who just wants to walk around and see things they might need. First time going on Sunday and we just went out of curiosity. Entrance fee was $2.00 per person and parking was free. The swap meet is located in the same lot as the drive in movie theater and there is plenty of parking to spare. They only accept cash when buying admission tickets and only bills $20.00 and below. But we got lucky and were able to get in using my $50.00 bill, which allowed me to get my bill finally broken hehe Once inside, there are rows upon rows on tables stocked with all kinds of items ranging from clothes, toys, electronics, food and more. But honestly, most of the people there were selling clothes. There is a food location located in the middle of everything, but there were long lines and we weren't able to stock up on cool drinks since it was a hot day and there was little to no shade. Getting around was a bit scattered since rows lead to dead ends sometimes or there would be a fork in the path, which caused backtracking to get back on track in order to not miss anything. We ended up buying one item and then calling it quits due to the heat. Not so sure if I would go back though. read more

In this place you will find almost everything that you can buy at a large department store, but for a fraction of the price. Electronics, clothing, household items, shoes, jewelry, hats, gemstones, medicine, home remedies, items needed for work, etc... and if they don't sell it, ask for it, la Raza will find it for you. The best days for shopping are on Tuesday and Sunday. Tuesdays are packed with lots of items and it gets very busy. Vendors normally get their supplies the day before so they will have fresh supplies for you, lots to buy. On Sunday they bust out with the live bands and dancing. Beer is sold close to the stage, so if you want to bring the significant other, get your buzz on, dance, and then do a little shopping, this is the day to do it. Make sure you go to the bank and get some cash, because most vendors do not accept credit cards. They do have an ATM machine, but you will get charged for that service. Besides selling alcohol, they also have a food court where you can buy Mexican food fruit drinks and soft drinks. When you buy from these vendors, you are supporting the community, and many are still recovering from the pandemic, so thank you in advance for your purchase. Enjoy a wonderful outdoor experience with your loved ones. Get to meet an array of good natured vendors and buyers and at the same time get some exercise. I love this place! I would always come as a little girl with my parents. Back then I would buy my Barbie's but now I go for the clothes or shoes! The food is also good! I always get cucumber flavored water or a churro if I'm hungry. Things you'll find: Clothes, toys, games, makeup, vans, croc jibits, tech stuff, hardware machines, plushies, house stuff of all kinds like pots and Tupperware, plants, bracelets (souvenirs), etc. This place has everything for everyone no matter the age which is why it's such a good place to shop. This swap meet is ass. First off they will charge you to enter which is fine but they do not accept Debit/Credit or any bills larger than $20. Not to mention the dude running the ticket booth is super rude and he won't even tell you any of that information, he just points to the little sign in his window and doesn't even look you in the eye. My friend and I lied and said we'd use the ATM inside and didn't even go back out to pay. Suckers. Besides why would we pay for 40 pop up tents with basically nothing good to offer. Maybe it's just me but Swap Meets really suck these days. I'd rather come back to this place on days where it's a Drive-In movie theater but even than I wouldn't expect better service. read more

As a seller this is by the far the worst and inept swap meet I have ever seen. I sold here for six months and was kicked out because I sold "counterfeit" items which is BS because I bought them off of many reputable Amazon sellers, including the swap meets own sellers and they had no problem with other sellers selling the same stuff as I do (Stickers and croc charms), but we were specifically targeted because everyone was allowed to continue selling the same things. Also the food there sucks, the bathrooms are disgusting and they charge $65 for a space where most places charge $40 tops. The staff is generally okay except the front office workers. Here are some incidents I had from those dummies. -I was warned to never be late again and I had to show up before 8am or my space would be sold. I came at 7:57 am lol -A transformer blew up near a sellers space and were forced to shut down through no fault of their own and I was told by the sellers that they never got a refund. -The next day after said transformer incident we waited 3 hours to get a space because they had to check each space by hand. By the time we entered it was 10am and still had to pay the full amount to sell. - The goober power tripping manager is a sarcastic little p-rick who patronizes you for asking simple questions. He thinks he's so smart, that that's why they can never fill up that swap meet beyond 50% capacity. See the empty space you're there next time. -Security guards are lazy morons who bother you for the sin of being busy. -Did I mention the food sucks? They easily mess somthing as easy as fries and Dino nuggets. Lol no joke. Anyways we loved the buyers and the other sellers, but the swap meet is not worth the headache, the inconvenience, or bs from management who is okay with counterfeit items like tee shirts with designer brands, unlicensed characters on shirts, oh and bootleg nikes, adidas from the callejones. read more

If you have dogs, don't come here because they won't let you in with them. I had both my dogs in their stroller and the "security" man came and told us dogs weren't allowed inside and I asked him why he said the owner doesn't like dogs and the owner got upset on Sunday 5/8/22 because someone brought their dog inside the Swapmeet. I let the security man know they weren't going to walk and they were going to stay inside the stroller, and he said you can't come in, and he was extremely rude about it. Also the lady in the ticket booth was the same way she totally ignored us and help the person behind us just because we had our dogs. Paramount Swapmeet is a good place to find bargain goods, it's been there for many years but recently there has been a lot crimes, my husbands car got stolen in to and they took his stereo system, when I approached the security guard he advised that there had been a lot of hooligans roaming around and stealing, I looked at him puzzled because if you know there has been crimes why not increase your security team any who when the security patrol car came to ask what had happened my husband informed her of our theft and she responded no worries I just had my whole sound system stolen a couple of weeks ago, and started to giggle not funny these customers pay for your service and it was a joke.
