The classes are two hours and go by quickly. There are warm ups, instructional time, demonstrations, partner practice dancing, and instructor feedback. Susana tries to keep it a relaxed, family atmosphere and is very welcoming of new students. The facility is nice, clean, and comfortable. There are ample bathrooms. I believe there is a water dispenser, but I usually just bring a bottle of water. There's only a small parking lot, so you may have to find a spot on one of the side-streets nearby. The students are of various experience levels and also friendly. New students can attend solo and use socks until they get some proper dance shoes. I have taken some classes at other studios for different styles of dancing and Susana's class is my favorite. I find it the most challenging, appreciate the extended class time & depth of explanation, and like the physical training exercises the best. If you haven't tried Argentine Tango @ Ambiance yet, I recommend giving it a shot and think it will fundamentally improve you as a dancer overall.

I was familiar with the dance studio in Wellington to charge twice as much and would hold back during the lesson... Our dance instructor tomorrow has such great enthusiasm and energy! My fiance and I felt very comfortable with her during our six lessons, two of which we still need to take. Tomorrow taught us the Rumba for our first dance at our wedding which is quickly approaching. The dance studio has a weekly party open to all students, I think it's a great way to practice your skills leading or following.
