I felt treated as if I were a threat. Upon arriving, I tried to use the front door, but it was locked. A woman in the class looked at me through the glass door, her expression conveying annoyance or possibly disgust (though I can't be certain), and directed me to enter through the back door. Following her instructions, I went to the back door and knocked, but received no response. I then attempted to call the studio's phone number, yet received no answer.

It is never too late to begin and you get very professional step by step directions from instructors who are not just experienced dancers but also have professional and kind personalities. Everyone I have gotten to know is so kind and it feels like a big family. Dance has become my sport and I am now in the best shape since I did martial arts at a high level years ago. Through DWM I have also extended my network and built some unique friendships and connections around the country. Because of my desire to practice a lot, I have taken advantage of our option of also training with current and previous World Level professional dancers. Starting a 3+ hour rehearsal at 5pm on a Friday for 3-4 year olds was really tough, and making them sit through another long recital the next day was also difficult. The studio wasn't receptive to suggestions to make the process easier for the youngest kids - in fact, one class was featured nearly at the end of the 2 act recital. Hopefully the studio will take into account all of the suggestions and workarounds provided by parents and staff to make this a more positive experience in the future because my child really enjoyed the class!
