I'm surprised this place has such an overall bad review. There was a mini thunderstorm that caused a power outage. There was a delay in my check-in and when I took a shower the water hadn't warmed up yet and I was forced to take a cold shower. The gift shop ended up staying closed even after the power was restored, so I didn't get to visit it. I didn't go around looking for flaws in the room. It was beautiful and spacious. Either the sauna wasn't working or maybe we couldn't figure it out, so we skipped that feature. We enjoyed listening to light music and popping a bottle of champagne in our heart shaped pool the night of check-in, then popped another in the champagne tub the next morning. There's also a couch, tv, and fireplace. The bed room had simulated star lights on the ceiling. It was easy to lose track of time; when I woke up in the morning I thought it was still dark out until I discovered it was 8 am. We took a nice nature trail walk early. We spent time at the outdoor pool, and sipped some drinks from Tan Lines outdoor bar. The margarita was weak so we got a blue Long Island bucket. Trey was our party game host. He has a great sense of humor and is naturally humorous. He was very entertaining. The pool is open 24hrs, we forgot to check out the evening vibe, we even forgot to check out the night club. We went into spooners, maybe we got there too late because there were no appetizers, just cheese and crackers and onion ring crumbs. We enjoyed a free game of pool over some cocktails from the bar. We also got to try their hot tub next door, which felt more like a warm tub, it was a bit stuffy in there for me, so we didn't stay long. The dinner and breakfast is buffet style. The food was tasty. The lamb was super tender. The chicken piccata was flavorful. And the chicken park was good too. We recommend going to breakfast early, we went late in between refills. All the servers we encountered were attentive and friendly. This also goes for the couples we interacted with through out the campus. This place has an overall great vibe and I'll definitely give them another try to earn my 5 stars.

What a great time my woman and I had here at Paradise Stream. We had a bit of a late check-in due to a storm that passed by that knocked out the power, but they had it up and running quickly. Prior to that, we arrived early, got ourselves signed in and acquainted with the resort. The check-in was at 3:30 pm so we hung out in the pool, The hot tub, walked around for a bit and played some pool. We ate dinner that you need to have a reservation to have. The food was really good. Both breakfast and dinner. The lamb shank was fall off the bone literally. The rooms were clean and comfy. Alot todo at Paradise Stream. Come and enjoy some very well-deserved time with your significant other.

2 stars for retro vibe. -100 stars for service. Front desk checkin was a chaotic mess. Reports of bugs in rooms on the phone coming in as we tried to get our key. Save yourself $10 and buy the same wax log at Walmart for $3 only 5 min away. The gift shop personnel was the least friendly cashier we've met in a long time. Zero assistance. No one is going to cordially invite you or even tell you about QR code flyer events posted only for certain days/times so read everything or you'll miss out like on haunted trail Fridays. They say not to reserve your meal times at reservation but at checkin they were filled up so you can't even eat when you want to. Our 2 story champagne suite filled with smoke with the flue open. NO CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR and only 1 window in entire 1k sf. We had to leave the door open for 4 hours to breathe. May have something to do with the 5" HOLE of the internal brick of our fireplace. The AC works well thankfully because it was well over 80 upstairs when we arrived with temps outside in the 50s. The "stars" light in the ceiling of our champagne tub has a short so it was flashing like a strobe light - epileptics beware. The between room insulation does not - we heard moaning and music from an adjacent room until 2am. NOTE: No water pressure in suite 422. Unsure if it's the entire property or just this suite but it was DRIPPING out of the rain shower head to the point if you had the shower head angled at all there wasn't enough pressure to keep all holes dripping so only half would drip AT FULLY ON. Especially love they encourage you to drive a few hundred feet away to night activities, drink heavily and drive to your room. Definitely make sure you have uninsured driver insurance because the clientele here is pretty sus. Activities director aka CXO is spastic and not friendly old guy. Do not be 1 minute late or you can't play because "he's got another activity to get to" (next in an hour). The games didn't match the daily calendar, for example a couples game show with sweets was a billiards tournament lasting 10 minutes. Marshmallow golf for a free nights stay included completely melted marshmallows that stuck to the wedge so you couldn't even hit them to attempt the game. Want to play for fun additional marshmallows? Too bad - they're not here for your enjoyment. Overall, if you plan to stay in your suite - okay. If you plan to play outdoors, you'll have to grab gear from the gift shop requiring IDs to be left with them to borrow damaged old and broken equipment worth nothing, but still ok for kitschy. If you actually want to do activities beyond getting drunk and screwing, you may want to go elsewhere. Sad to see these treasured historical places dive so low. It was a memory to be made on a bucket list. Highly recommend staying in your room or avoiding staff. And if you have any curiosity, a black light would be fun to see what you might be exposed to in suite. Honestly would not stay here again if it was free. Maybe another location has friendlier staff and a better activities director.

We bought a day pass. $25 gets you a wristband and access to certain amenities. We had low expectations. The few hours we spent there together, in the land of love, were memorable. We had drinks at Spooners and ordered food. The drink (watermelon sangria) gave me such a bad stomach ache and heartburn, I had to leave to lay down in the car for a few minutes. When I returned, my food was there. Wings and fries. Definitely recommend. There isn't a changing room for the pool, so we used the restrooms, that were not the cleanest- but got the job done. They provided towels for the indoor pool and hot tub. Hot tub was nice. Lots of chlorine. My blond hair is green now There was a wall that displayed broken tiles that were found by previous lovers. We also found a tile with our toes and added it to the collection. Of course I was going back into the bar to get more drinks (decently priced for a resort) so after a few hours of swimming and playing, I'm drunkenly ready to leave. We had a good time because we always do together. Keep your expectations low and you probably will, too.

Overall I prefer this location to Cove Haven as it has a lot more around it. Breakfast had nice variety and was really good. My main complaints are the bed is on wheels which makes no sense and even locking the bed did not stop it from moving fully. Our room had ants in it which was not wonderful and the pool area is not super clean. Also the cable does not work right and the wifi sucks. However, they have fun activities to do both on property and off. Most on property activities are included in the price. They also have fun stuff to do near by and some good restaurants. Overall a few complaints but I would likely do it again someday or maybe try Pocono Place as I haven't tried their third property yet

I really enjoyed this hidden gem. It was about a 3 hour drive away from baltimore but it was so worth it. I went during a week day and stayed overnight. It was in a nice quiet area. From the outside the room Didn't look that big but once you enter it was huge. The room had 3 floors. The room was clean and quiet. The hot tub was nice and spacious and by it being the shape of a glass made it even more special. The pool wasn't to deep but deep enough and big enough to move around. The sauna was pretty nice also. The room also had a massage table which was nice also. We even had free breakfast made to order. They had things to do on the campus but the room was so nice we didn't make it to the club. They have a club and a spa on site. You can even do the dinner if you don't want to Leave the resort. I'm definitely going to go back before the year is over. The receptionist was pretty nice also Jane.

The property is seriously dated, half of the activities are out of order, the bartender hates her job, and the hot water doesn't work. One of the MAIN things we chose this property for was the in room tub. How disappointing when we attempted to use it and the water was ice cold. Of course that meant we couldn't shower either which was even worse. We called the desk and the man working the front desk was obviously annoyed by our concern. They sent someone out an hour later and then called us an hour after that to let us know it was broken. Well duh. Also they called us to inform us well after 12AM.. Breakfast was rotten, and they were out of half of what they needed. Their customer service is a JOKE too. We've been trying to contact them for weeks regarding our stay in October but we continually get voicemails and promises to "get back to us" with nothing in return. Also in attempts to call the resort I found that their phones go "out of service" pretty often. What a waste of almost $1000 for 2 nights in a glorified motel. Not exactly the most ideal romantic experience. I waited to make this review until we had given it enough time and I can't believe that they have yet to give us any response.

The first room they gave us had no heat, so they nicely upgraded our room. Unfortunately the pool water was cold and wouldn't heat up. Maintenance said it will take time. The water was still cold the next morning. We stayed only one night, so we couldn't enjoy the indoor pool. The location was nice and breakfast was good. We will give them another try some other time.

The one star I give for front desk allowing us to leave and attempt to salvage the few hours left of my birthday by finding a new hotel to stay at. After driving hours to what was suppose to be a surprise birthday celebration getaway, we were greeted by the... - Trash all on the grounds - broken up pavements - door that you have to kick in, in order to open - dirty shower - dirty towels - carpet stains that look like urine - dirty bed linen - beds with no fitted sheets - wood furniture with splintered wood - pool room that smells like mold and bleach - electrical wires that should not be exposed - and a warm greeting on the window (I can laugh at it now but believe me in the moment I was furious) I can't make this up so I decided to share pictures to give you a visual!

This resort is good!! Bonnie was soo excellent and soo accommodating. She (Bonnie) made me and my husband first visit here very special. We stayed in the Champagne tower and the room was ok. First and foremost: the room have plumbing issues, they need to fix the bathroom ceiling, and the pool and the jacuzzi was not cleaned!! Besides all those other problems the room was very romantic

Serious ant issues. 11/15/21 me and my wife visited for my birthday. We had the Garden of Eden Apple suite. We settled into the room and was so excited. Didn't notice anything the first night. When we woke up the next day, i noticed something crawling on me. I noticed an ant infestation over the top of the bed, at least 40-50 of them. The bed could come off from the wall, but they were already on the sheets and bed. The full colony was trooping in that area, enjoying their squatter stay for free. We complained at the front desk and they moved us to an ant free room. The pain was having to pack everything back up, then move to another room. No compensation from Paradise stream. The rest of the visit was fine. 5/15/2022 My wife's birthday. I treated her to the Champagne towers. We were in room 403. She was so excited. I video taped entering the room, going up stairs and into the bathroom. Again! Ant colony by the sink. About 15-20 around the bathroom sink area, enjoying their stay (see photos). The good thing is we didn't settle into room yet. We called the front desk, they told us to come back to main office so they could change our room. The older lady at the desk did this quick and was very courteous. Since i can't upload video here, Later, I tried to snap photos from the video. So it's hard to see all the ants. Now we are in room 407, new cards and i inspected the entire place like an health inspector. Didn't see any ant friends. 5-16-2022 at around 12:30pm, i get a phone call from the manager lady. I'm half asleep. Shes telling me on the phone i'm not suppose to be in this room. I can barely understand her. I told her i had ants in my other room 403 and i was transferred to this room yesterday, the older lady put me in here by the front desk. She repeated you were suppose to check out already. Finally after a bunch of going back and forth, i verified my name again. Then she said I wasn't in the computer. How is that possible? What kind of organization is this? Then she apologizes, then i go back to sleep. BUT WAIT! IT GETS WORST! We are about to leave the room to head to dinner, i forgot my cell phone in the room. We try both keys and none of them worked. Obviously the manager deactivated the card keys since i wasnt suppose to be in the room. Didn't bother to reactivate the same keys, because she assumed i was someone else. Bad organization, bad communications, bad updating customer information, plus bad training for staff of not having correct in room. So i had to wait for a maintenance guy, didn't take long, just 5 minutes. He opened the door, so i could get my phone. Then i had to go back to the front desk, where older lady (forgot her name), was upset at the manager. She went on and on, that she put our correct information in the computer for that room. I don't know what to believe. So we have new keys to the room. WHITE POWDER STUFF FALLING FROM CEILING IN LIVING ROOM (SEE PHOTOS) 5-16-22 in the evening. We are using the pool in the room. Guess what we see? More ANTS!! They are back, but this time just the scout ants are here (I studied ants for my house and business. Learned how they send out scouts for food, then leave an invisible trail for the colony to follow so everyone can bring food back to the queen). So these ants were around the outside of the pool, looking for food. About 10-15 of them maybe. They were just running around looking for anything. We just squished them with our fingers (like aliens would do to humans one day), and splashed water on the rest. Wife left a small piece of hot ghost pepper nacho chip for them. We told the front desk later, and they offered to move us, but, We just stayed put. PARADISE STREAM NEED TO FIRE THEIR PEST CONTROL COMPANY OR CONTRACTOR. Whoever is doing their pest control is using out dated methods from the 1970s and 1980s. Spraying on the floors of rooms isn't the way to do things anymore, that's primitive! Thats what the lady at the front desk told me they could do. I don't want that in my lungs. Why would you spray something with all those chemicals that will hurt the guest more than the ant? There are smarter ways to deal with ants, i figured out the secrets. "GETTING RID OF ANTS FOR DUMMIES" 3 steps (I would do this for them if they were paying me). FIRST you setup a 6-8 feet ant spray perimeter around each hotel room block. You take out the ant colony outside of the 4 room apartments. This stuff on amazon can help with that: "Amdro Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Bait, 1LB" SECOND set up these traps outside the apartments and in the area under the room (maintenance area): "Terro 1806 Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits" Search on amazon. THIRD Set up these indoor ant traps in places in the room guest can't see: "TERRO T300B Liquid Ant Killer, 12

We will come back, Donna was amazing and so friendly and sweet. Lynnda (might have spelled it wrong was funny, sweet and an amazing greeter and loudgie was an amazing waitress and a sweet heart. Cons some of the activities they listed were not there and should be removed from the list 2. Outside activities need to be updated but we're fun. 3. Property is older which I understand some of the things but times and all should be replaced outside. 4. Poconos palace game room is amazing hope this place updates theirs. 5. The rooms need to be re painted and the crack and crevices inside should be fixed also. That is how pest get in. 6. The AC needs updated the rooms are warm the AC did nothing. PROs 1. Relaxing 2. Wooden location is awesome. We saw deer up close which they were nice deer. 3. Plenty of great views 4. The whole staff is so friendly and top notch. 5. I really, really wanted to like this place. I really did. My fiancee and I booked the Diana's Oasis room for a night, which is the second tier below the champagne rooms. It wasn't an inexpensive booking: by the time we paid all the various fees and such, we could have stayed a week in a more modest hotel. I'm going to mention the price because the problems with the room are exacerbated by the pricing. If you order a medium rare steak at the Awful Waffle, and it comes out well done, you shrug, eat it, and move on with your life; if you order medium rare at Chez Fancy Pants and it comes out medium well, it matters. On first impression, the room looked like a lot of fun, and nice. There's a small foyer, with the bathroom off of it. The bathroom sports a good sized walk-in shower, with multiple shower heads. The bedroom has a heart shaped jacuzzi, a round bed, a couple of chairs, and behind it, the "pool" room. The room is a little 70's tacky, but ... hey, we knew that going in, and that was part of the fun. The problem is... it doesn't look like anything has been touched up since 1974. On closer look, several of the sconces were broken and cracked, or missing chips. The furniture all had scratches, chips, dents, and such on it. Lightbulbs were burnt out and hadn't been replaced. The mirrors all had large black spots on them, and in one place, the mirror had been hastily repaired using duct tape! Yowch: for the price, they can keep up with the repairs on the place. Cleanliness was similarly lax -- it looked "clean enough," but a better look around showed footprints in the pool area, smudges and grease on a chair (given the atmosphere of the hotel, you know what that was from), etc. Worse, I woke up late at night to use the restroom, and discovered a large roach in the bathroom. YUCK! Given the atmosphere of the place, as a "couple's retreat," it really makes me wonder just what other things weren't cleaned and how they may have been used... :-X Having spent the day hiking, our first stop was the shower. One of the three shower heads was poorly attached and fell out of its holder, spraying water everywhere. Okay, that was actually pretty funny. There was a little tiny bath mat, which didn't serve to keep the floors dry under the best of circumstances, and definitely not then. The jets in the hot tub were poor, as well, and a couple of them barely put out any water (some were fine, some just didn't work well). The indoor swimming pool, by the way, is about 5-feet deep, maybe 3' wide, and 7' long (I'm guestimating, I didn't measure). Its more of a soaking pool than a swimming pool. The ladder wasn't well attached, rather rickety, and had a large wire obvious underneath it. Perhaps the most frustrating part was the way the room's shape effected the air conditioner. The foyer area bottlenecks with the bathroom into the main room. The AC is in the foyer - and you can set it at 60° if you want, and still have the rest of the room be hot, muggy, and uncomfortable: its hard for the cool air to get out of the foyer. This is especially true if you've used the pool or hot tub, or ... well, let's just say "used the bed." The round bed's novelty quickly wore off when it came time to sleep: I'm just 5'9, but even at the very centre, my feet stuck over. Also, one final word of warning. If you've seen their marketing materials, and are expecting to see anyone like the models in the ads, forget about it. I'm in my 30s, my fiancee in her 20s, and if you add our age together, you'll still be below the average age of the guests at the hotel: like the furniture, it seems like they've been there since the 70s.

Worst experience me and my wife have had in a long time. The food was horrible we both got sick after we eat both nights. We thought may it was a fluke the first night but the second night was worst. WE HAD TV DINNERS THAT WERE BETER. There was nothing really to do there. It's over priced and they charged us twice. We would have given it 0 stars but 1 was the only option. My husband and I visited paradise stream for our honeymoon. I booked this trip through a deal I found on groupon. The only disadvantage to this was that we were not able to charge anything to our room or rent movies because we booked with a Groupon deal. The Champagne Tower Suite although a bit outdated was very cozy and fun, with a mini heart shaped pool and sauna, a champagne whirlpool tub, and a fire place. The cleaning service and room service was also exceptional. We did not participate in many of the activities, but we did use the 24 hr arcade. We would have used it more, but the machines kept eating our tokens. If you could just use regular quarters it would have been better. Other than that, the arcade was nice. read more

This place is probably one of the worse places I have stayed in considering the price tag of $400/night. I have vacationed in the US, the Caribbean and Europe and have never had an experience like this. This was the first time I took my husband away and was embarrassed. My husband takes great care to treat me to the finest resorts and hotels and I took him to a dump. This place is ancient, and has not had any renovation in ages. The pictures will speak for themselves. The pictures on the website are a big lie and are from 50 yrs ago. Furninute, carpet indoor and outdoor is old, dirty and falling apart. Bathroom door expanded and did not close fully. So it's easy to soak in the heart shape tub and chat with your spouse on the bowl 4 feet away. Indoor carpet is commercial grade I would put in my basement. Outdoor green carpet, dirty with black mold and ripped. Wall paint is peeling inside and outside. There are rust spots everywhere, Fire place will costyou $14 a small log that burs for 1 1/2 hr if you want to burn a fire. Staff is cold and unwelcoming. Food is dinner grade food. I have had better food at Apple bees. The game room is 100 degrees and machines don''t work event when you have put the purchased tokens in them . Hot tub and pool area also old with no upgrade. There is nothing pretty about this beside the on line pictures. This was a total scam and will make sure that anyone I know does not fall for this. I bought a groupon deal as a Valentine's gift for my husband and we stayed an extra night. We stayed in the new "Diane Oasis" suites and it was the ultimate in decadence, beautiful pool, Jacuzzi, fireplace and mirrors galore. The room is so spectacular it makes it hard to leave but the last day we had to and enjoyed the resort. I can't find a single complaint! We did it all the last day, the wine tasting, the arcade challenges and even the silly aphrodisiac taste test ....okay I did have one complaint. Why did I get asparagus? Yuck! My recommendation? Come here as soon as you can check in, milk it for every second and leave with some beautiful (private) memories. read more

Me and my boyfriend recently stayed in the champagne towers. Obviously with the corvid we both knew all the recreation was not going to be a thing and that was totally fine since we didn't really want to be social anyways. My issue was first the cleanliness of my room. We spent $460 on this room for 1 night so my expectations were high. But I was apauled by the shower. There was hard water build up so bad that it was literally running down the shower. It was absolutely gross. Now me and my bf both knew what we were signing up for as far as tackiness so I can't really complain how the decor was. But my absolute biggest complaint was that the "heated" pool that by the brochure is supposed to temp at 85-90 degrees was absolutely ice freaking cold. We couldn't use the pool our whole stay which is the only reason we booked this room in the first place, along with the hot tub, not to mention the huge ass spider turned me off. There was left over trash by the sauna from I am guessing the previous persons. I wouldn't say by far our stay was the worse, but basic things like cleanlieness should be basic, especially since we are in a pandemic and things should be cleaner than ever. Oh and if you're claustrophobic God help you when you need to pee because all you have is a broom closet with a toilet in it. I am absolutely sure I won't be back for the price of just the rooms. And I really really wanted to like this place. Absolutely upset that it turned out horrible considering this is the first time me and him have been able to be together in just over 2 years because of his job and such. It might be cheesy but I had a great time. Very relaxing weekend with my honey. We enjoyed the entertainment and took advantage of every amenity in our Champagne Tower Suite. Got a great deal on Groupon and had a blast. Staff was very attentive and courteous. The room needs some updating but everything was clean and well taken care of. Grounds are beautifully kept and we enjoyed just strolling around or playing the games available. Food was decent and drinks were delicious! I love the attitude and atmosphere of love. Great way to spend my anniversary! I'd recommend to anyone in love! read more

My husband and I just got home from our night away in the poconos at Paradise Stream. We stayed in Diana's Oasis room. It has a huge bathroom (I'll get back to that), a round bed (smexy smexy), a heart shaped jacuzzi that I accidentally filled up with too many bubbles and a separate room with a pool and fireplace. Ok, it's not a 5 star resort and is outdated. But that's part of the charm! you're an idiot if you expected anything else. The only thing that really bothered me was that in the huge walk in shower there was a separate hand held shower head that was MOLDY, we wouldn't even touch it. We went for drinks at the bar and found the hysterical Billy O hosting some games. Bingo and music trivia were so much fun. After the all inclusive dinner (my Husband had shrimp scampi and I had Prime Rib) we stayed and listened to the awesome Tony F sing and play guitar.... he was very sweet and kept things fun by talking to us and taking requests. About 45 minutes in Billy O came back and Everyone who stayed played a hysterical version of Family Feud. Good drinks, lots of laughter and time with my hubby made for a great night. It wasn't very crowded which was fine with us. I would totally go back. One other thing, the pool is very chlorinated so even after a shower we still smell like chlorine. Lol. But all in all it was so much fun. read more

We had to wait 3 hours past the check in time of 330 to get into our room! Our room was VERY musty smelling, desperately needs updating and air conditioner didn't work, shower door was broken, carpet was coming up, couch was dirty and ripped, and the tv was very old with a terrible picture quality, the game room ran out of tokens after we put $3 in to get tokens, the food was so so, and the drink prices are outrageous!! For as much money as we spent, I expected a lot more! It was our 25th anniversary and we drove 10 hours, and spent a lot of money! We could have done something closer to home for a lot less money, please don't waste your money on an old run down resort! read more

Came here last weekend to celebrate our 6th year anniversary...Let me start by saying It's very expensive. We booked the Dianna's Oasis suite almost $350 for 1 day WITHOUT all inclusive, but we decided to splurge since it was our anniversary. Once we got in our room we saw there was a nice Jacuzzi and our own pool, but the room and pool was very small. I went into the restroom and saw something on the toilet, not sure if it was vomit or what. So I immediately called the front desk asking if we can upgrade to the Champagne tower suite. We paid $50 for the upgrade, and I believe it was well worth it if your comparing the room size. There's 2 floors and a living room, and the pool is bigger. After all that we rushed out to get some food in the night club where they had trivia and games, which was fun. Then went back to the suite, decided to go check out the pool. Its piss warm, and there was ants all over so you couldn't even put a drink or anything on side without them crawling all over. After the pool we got ready and headed over to Cove Haven resort to enjoy the drag show which was 40 minutes away, which kind of sucked because one of you wouldn't be able to drink. The drag show was very long and entertaining. When we got back to the suite we went to go into the champagne tower and what do we see? Full of ants. So nope we skipped it. Went to brush our teeth,ants. Got into the bed and yet again ANTS all over Ugh! Overall the concept is nice, and they have a lot of great activities, everyone is friendly..but for the price its very out dated. The rooms have wall paper, the furniture has rips. Its kind of misleading when you walk into the lobby because the lobby is updated, but then you go into the suites and your disappointing. You would think with all the money there making off people they would spend it to remodel the place. Maybe next time well try Cove Haven. read more

The Paradise Stream resort is super fun as long as you are into a campy things and places. We stayed at in a Champagne Suite, which was dated (like a 1970s porn set) but perfect. We shot arrows, threw horseshoes, played air hockey and pool and pinball, swam in all the pools, ate a ton of good buffet food, did putt-putt, and got to watch a fun comedy show. The staff were gracious and helpful. It was an extremely fun weekend. It is just the kind of place that you have to embrace the absurdity to enjoy. It isn't classy or elegant, I mean, there are bathtubs shaped like champagne glasses. If you want to have fun, you will have fun at Paradise Stream. read more

Came here through a deal from Groupon. The receptionist on our first day commented that I would be too tall (I'm 6'3) to enjoy our Lakeside Villa suite - so we were instead offered a free upgrade to a Dianna's Oasis suite. It was incredible - features included a round king size bed, a heart shaped jacuzzi with a starry sky overhead and our own private heated pool with a fireplace. Amazingly romantic room. The staff from the front desk to the wait staff to the CXO's who led the activities were all top notch. Extremely friendly and hospitable. It was a perfect romantic getaway for my girlfriend and I. We will definitely be returning. read more

Stayed there 3 days and 2 nights with my boyfriend. September 28th-30th, 2015. We stayed in the champagne tower. The place is a little dated, but clean. There's so much to do there! We tried to cram everything into the 2 full days we were there and still had time for romance. I wish we would've booked for the whole week. It was our 1 year anniversary of dating. We had so much fun! We went from Monday-Wednesday, so it wasn't crowded. The nightly entertainment was awesome. Music, games couples against each other and games with girls against the guys. I just can't say enough about our experience. We're already planning another trip to go back there! read more

Our room was amazing! We stayed in the champagne tower suite! It was more than what we had expected! We got the all inclusive package which we highly recommend the food was great:) So many activities to do we were never bored- wish we had more time to do everything they offered. 5 Stars for Staff.... My Hun and I decided to spend New Years at this place as it was close and it was different. Our first impression when we rolled in was a nice one. It felt like we were visiting abroad. We were greeted and escorted to our table by a well trained staff. The server was absolutely divine. My hun hated his beer and she recommended a new one, and even offered to replace it, if he didn't like it. She was very knowledgeable and i'm sorry we didn't get her name. The band was good and the comic was hilarious. We were promised when we booked, a champagne toast at midnight, but did not get. I/we were not pleased with the buffet. But overall we had a great night!!!!! read more

We stayed in the villa facing the stream, the room was beautiful. All was great until we got home, and I checked my bank statement, and they double charged us!!!! Put over 800$ on hold, and we payed as we went, everything had already came out, but when I called, accounts payable, denied, it. I was told it was total of all charges, which I already payed and it came out.So she wanted bank statements, which I faxed, and no more than a hour later the charges disappeared, but I got no phone call from her of apology.This resulted in bank overdraft fees of more than 600$!!!! I think I will get them back, after the bank sees all the money already out, and them double charging. So check your statements often!!!! read more

It's our second day, and it's a blast. But hands down, dinner was the best thing today. The chef deserves what ever the hell he wants! THE BEST MASHED POTATOES EVER! And the pianist was spectacular! I feel like we were the only two rocking out to him! I look forward to making this a spot to return to yearly! Especially for the bomb ass potatoes! read more

Our room was kind of a cozy romantic room but would have been better if some of the stuff were kept up maintenance wise. The shower heads were gross and rusty stained and the bed sheets were NOT cleaned! They had some stains, at first I thought maybe it's just a stain that didn't come out but I saw one that was fresh, it had a piece of something red and smeared. It was too late to ask for new sheets so we just turned it over and slept on top of it and didn't use it. There was a little hot water maker for coffee or tea etc. it only filled up a half of a small cup and then wouldn't work for a second cup. Definitely not worth all the money we paid. If it was cheaper then maybe I would have rated it better. read more

Wonderful place!!!! We stayed at the Paradise Stream, in the room with the kidney size pool and jacuzzi! This place was super cozy where there was NO interruption. The staff is super friendly and the activities were great. Billy the entertainment guy is super cool- bingo is the best! Lol. Planning to return soon!! The cafe has a selection of food that is sooooo good. Their chicken quesadillas were ON POINT, all the way down to the Guacamole. read more

From the minute we walked into Paradise Stream my boyfriend and I knew we were going to have a fabulous weekend! The receptionist who greeted us was so friendly and helpful; she sincerely wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. 5 star customer service from Bonnie! We stayed in one of the champagne tower suites, which included their infamous champagne shaped bath tub, heart shaped pool, and sauna, the space was huge! Most importantly everything was very clean and worked properly. Worth every penny! We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant on their property. Our waiter Jacob was so friendly and accommodating, truly a professional! After dinner we went to their lounge not having any idea that there would be a live band, Bosco and the Storms. This band was phenomenal! They performed some oldies as well as modern songs, amazing talent all around! We didn't have time to take advantage of all of the fun activities the resort offered but will definitely be back to go horseback riding, miniature golfing, and try our hand at some archery! Hoping next time we go Bosco and the Storms is performing and Bonnie is there at the front desk. Amazing time all around HIGHLY recommend! This place was great, The only thing that bothered me was the water kinda smell like eggs when you first turn it on so you have to let It run for a little bit I believe it's because it's well water. The room was clean I'm big on inspecting our room, the mattress was very clean and I was very impressed. I took as many photos as I could of important things, I wanted to review this the way I wish I would've found a review on it. The staff was very nice and helpful no one had an attitude or any negative vibes the entire place just gives off a loving feeling all the guests there are in great moods,you can leave a love note for your loved one and put it in a mailbox it's in the lobby and they post it on the website. there were games at the outdoor pool and the DJ was always hype. We stayed in the Lakeside villa suites which was great for privacy every room had a balcony viewing the lake and on the lake you can go boating, paddle boating or rowboat. Buffet Breakfast and dinner was great (steak and lobster night was everything) happy hour was awesome stand up comedy is cheesy but funny. The band playing there the night we were was the 2nd Street players and they were amazing! One touch that I liked very much was a little house/hut if you will, right in front of the mini golf course where hundreds and hundreds of couples have signed their name and their date it was a pretty sight to see. The whole land is a great walk around there's lots to do the arcade is huge and is never full so it feels like the whole arcade is there for you and your love, and through the arcade is the quiet and humid pool and Jacuzzi room that room was everything!!! It was never over packed there's a great chance it'll just be you and your love in there for quite some time :) it's just great. This is a perfect place to get away with your loved one to just be alone and enjoy one another it was very relaxing and much-needed and we will definitely be going back. And if you need any last minute things toothbrushes toothpaste etc. They have a gift shop or there's a Dollar General eight minutes away up the road. Absolutely recommend this place. read more

Our stay was overall great and very enjoyable. The resort is quiet so you get to spend quality time with your significant other, but the resort has plenty of activities available all throughout the day to keep you busy. We had booked a jacuzzi suite, but the front desk was nice enough to upgrade us to a Diana's oasis room. I have very high standards of cleanliness and I felt totally comfortable staying in the room. The room was HUGE! We really enjoyed our private indoor pool in the room. We found that it was in good condition and clean. The tiles around the pool might just need cleaning/refurbishing, but all in all, it was clean. Our jacuzzi was clean. We had a very slight issue where one of the jet caps came off when we turned on the jets in the jacuzzi and some debris came out of them. But maintenance and housekeeping came right away, notified us that it might take up to an hour to fix since they were going to do a flush (we didnt mind, since we were headed to dinner anyway), and they made the jacuzzi look like new. The round bed was cool and the sheets were clean. The bed was a little too soft for my liking, but that's just me. The bathroom was nicely renovated with a stand up shower. Only things I would point out that might need attention was 1) the food. It was okay and tasty, with plenty of varieties. But I didn't find that it was worth the all inclusive price. We probably will not be purchasing the all inclusive next time. There are plenty of nice restaurants within a 10-15 min drive away. 2) I would recommend that the resort take out the carpets in the room and replace them with tiles, since with the jacuzzi and pool in Diana's oasis, guests will inevitably walk wet around the room and get the carpets wet more than once. It's more sanitary to have tiles. Overall, the stay was nice. We enjoyed the 24/7 arcade with billiards, the racquetball, the rowboats and paddleboats, the lake and the archery. We didnt try the outdoor pool since the weather was iffy when we went and we had our own pool in the room. The entire staff is soooo nice and accommodating. The nightly entertainment was great also. I would stay here again. read more

With the newly issued Covid restrictions of not permitting entertainment indoors the resort tried to accommodate it's guest with the removal of resort fees, meals being brought to the room and a free movie rental. The room was clean and had no indication of bed bugs. (I check every location I intend to stay.) The kitchen was accommodating to a gluten allergy and personal preferences. The room is in need of updating. The sauna has old equipment that malfunctioned. The bathroom had leaking faucets. The faucet on the champagne glass hot tub did not extend into the tub far enough. When filling the tub it caused water to spill onto the tile surrounding the tub. One the first night of our stay is way relatively windy causing a down draft in our fire place. When we lit our fire log smoke was pouring into our room. I am surprised that the smoke alarm did not go off. I did not like that necessities (eg. paper products, coffee, soaps) needed to be requested with the front desk. If supplies can not be stored in the room then such items should come daily with out needing to ask for them. Depending on when you call (while meals are being delivered) it took time to get what you need. On one occasion I went to the desk in the morning and had to call twice to get what I needed. I was then told that the items were placed in an inconspicuous location 2 hours prior. When I did get my items they had not been sitting outside for 2 hours. If you failed to perform your task take ownership of it. Don't make your guest feel like they failed in searching for them. In summary this location fills the need but did not meet my expectation. Your travel dollars could be spent in other locations that go above and beyond. read more

I stayed at all three resorts, but this is my least favorite only because it seems the smallest with less things to do(the location makes up for it) We checked in on a Saturday at 2 and everything was ready and we had our room within minutes. I didn't come across one staff member that wasn't friendly, and helpful. The room was very clean that was one of the first things we checked out. Yes the room is a bit outdated like the TVs and stuff, but everything else was fine. The location of this resort is better then the other two. We ended up at the casino at night, so I can't comment on the nightly entertainment. We also skipped breakfast, but dinner was pretty good. We had no complaints actually I had a caramel apple pie that was delicious. We ordered room service to the room that was pretty fast and the food was good and hot. We enjoy our stay at these resorts and we'd come back. Wish they were a little less expensive. read more

This place is great if you go into it with your eyes and mind open, knowing what it is. It is for couples only. Let's leave it at that. Lets start with the obvious...The architecture and the decor is outdated, but that just adds to the charm. The staff was super-friendly, check in and check out was quick and easy. My husband and I decided to stay here for 3 days after our wedding since our actual honeymoon is planned for a few months away. We stayed in the Champagne Towers because it was something on our "bucket list". It was a lot of fun and very romantic!! We used a Groupon which cut the cost a little bit. We opted for the meal plan. The room was clean. The bedsheets were clean. The bathroom was clean. No problems there at all. The Jacuzzi (in the champagne glass) was clean, as was the in-room heart-shaped pool. We spent more time in the pool than in the Jacuzzi. The pool water was the exact temperature it should be - you could get right in. We did not use the steam room, it wasn't something that really interested us. We had two dinners at the resort. The first night, my husband's meal was very good, but mine was just "ok". However, the second night, both of our meals were awesome!! So I guess it depends on what you order. We did not try any of the out-door activities. It was pretty cold the days that we were there, so the outdoor activities were not being utilized by anybody. What I also liked about this place was it is close to some of the Pocono sites. We drove around one afternoon and saw a few cute shops and little stores. All in all, it was a great place for a mini-honeymoon. I would recommend it, as I already have to some of my friends who are looking for a fun place to spend a romantic weekend. read more

Stayed for a nice weekend away. We did need to speak to the manager because our pool had hair in it and the shower did NOT drain. After it was all fixed it was very nice. The surrounding amentities appeared old and should be replaced. It was nice to see the events available. Very guest motivated place. read more

I stood in room 437 this past weekend..Overall, the rooms were mainly clean and the staff was very friendly..Truthfully, I came to Paradise Stream because Cove Haven was sold out of the champagne suites..I mainly wanted to enjoy the pool in this room, but pretty much was turned off by the condition of the pool..Simply the pool flooring needs repainting and five (5) red tiles were missing where cement was exposed..All of the red tiles are completely faded to almost a white color and area's around parts of the pool were brown or rusted..In other words; Not Romantic..I am in slight disbelief that this establishment would allow the use of this room in it's present condition..I know my observations doesn't mean the pool can not be used, but aren't people coming here to experience something nice and beautiful?..Truthfully spend 15 seconds and stare at the pool, I promise you wouldn't feel too comfortable..I've seen reviews where management apologized to their customers and stated they would look into the matter of damaged rooms..I've find it hard to believe that the apologizes are sincere when I received a room in even worse condition..No excuses at this point... read more

A great romantic getaway. Yes the rooms are a bit 70s , but hey some people like the retro feel. We loved being able to leave the kids with their grandma and go away for a bit. * we went here for our BABYMOON! [last time away alone together before our 1st baby arrived * CHAMPAGNE TOWER the room was beautiful ! we had a private heart shaped pool, fireplace, and on the 2nd "floor" was the big bed, bathroom with 2 sinks giant mirror, private toilet stall, and champagne jaccuzi !! i only gave it a 4 because the champagne jacuzzi didn't look too clean in my opinion, it looked a little grimy which was definitely an issue due to the fact that i was pregnant so i was more cautous .. and it wasn't soapy as in pictures, or at least they didn't provide anything to make it look that way.. and the bed wasn't comfortable at all... which usually people that come here probably don't get much sleep BUT i was pregnant so it bothered my back.. they have other amenities like games and water activities but it was winter time so we just did the mini golf our experience was GREAT ! food was good, its a buffet but by waiter service.. only thing that was a little awkward was that all the other guests were OLD. which obviously is never an issue but i mean were in our 20's and the rest of the guests looked like they were 60 years old and older......... all in all, we WILL be back read more

Very relaxing spot. Rooms are super cool, almost unbelievable when you look it up online. We got the inclusive package but they never told us LUNCH wasn't included which is like the most important. The bartenders tried to double charge us but the male behind the bar is super cool (wish I remembered his name). They have activities planned for the day Incase you don't. We went down to the sister resort to do snowmobile but the field to do that is so small it's not that exciting lol. Paintball guns were broken so we couldn't do that. We enjoyed the time and peace of each other tho. Brought our own liquor. I would bring my own small snacks too since there's a fridge in the room. I would go back and suggest it. I really expected a lot from this place just because I had a good experience at cove haven, but the room was not entirely clean. There was handprints on the mirror, a used rag, hair in the tub, and the shower was clogged. Maintenance took care of the drain (which I appreciate) and we did the rest. During the winter, there's not much to do except hang out at the pool or play pool. I wish it was like cove haven which has plenty of activities indoors. I gave 2 stars just because the people we super polite, especially the bartenders, waiters, and waitresses. read more

After going to the Paradise Stream for 3 years with my Fiance MANY TIMES..and being HUGE fans, we were so stoked to celebrate our engagement here on the 4th of July! We are in the Forever Lover Club. We have booked week days and weekends here with people at the front desk and on the phone with no problem until they were recently just bought out. We finally were so excited to save up our days to get our "free room." We thought how perfect to add it on this exciting little engagement getaway! I just went ahead to book our getaway with our extra "FREE" Forever Lovers Club day added on that we've been saving up only to be told after saving it for over a year now we can no longer use it because when we stayed the last few times we didn't stay using their "exclusive" deals. We didn't want to eat their meal plans included with the rooms! The food was absolutely horrible. So we chose to eat elsewhere! However, we did buy meals in their restaurants..and tons of alcohol..which didn't count! So our little getaway engagement we've been talking about for weeks was just destroyed by this little "glitch" that was neverm EVER passed on to us-not once upon checking in OR out! The last time we were there after NOT choosing the so called "exclusive deal" and after checking out we were told right by the front desk we had free rooms coming to us by the front desk manager! So someone here is absolutely wrong! AND..to top it off last year I paid $183.00 for our room..this year..they want over $300.00 for the same EXACT room! The lady on the phone was very, very unprofessional and literally was laughing as she talked to me when I brought it up. She could have cared less how many times you were there or what kind of customer you were. Considering the negative comments you constantly have been receiving the past few years..and we always had nothing but POSITIVE comments to say about this place and cheered this place on...You just blew it! You have just completely proven me wrong..thanks for ruining my 4th of July. They've just lost two of their best customers...we'll never be back. You can keep your forever club. Our cottage was clean, in good repair, and surprisingly quiet given that the restaurant is on the property. The space is set up well for a couple or small family: a bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker), and even a propane fireplace that was perfect for chilly September evenings. While the fixtures and linens were a little dated, everything was tidy and comfortable, and the unit could easily sleep four. The only real downside was the low water pressure in the shower--not ideal, but not a deal-breaker either. At just over $500 for two nights, we felt it was a fair investment for the experience. The on-site restaurant, Frogtown Chophouse, is highly rated, and we enjoyed stopping in for cocktails one evening. The bartender gave us excellent local recommendations that added to our trip. All in all, Woodfield Manor offered exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, comfortable, and relaxing home base in the Poconos.

When we arrived to check in, Chuck was there to greet us. He is a wonderful, welcoming gentleman. He gave us literature about things to do and happily answered our questions. Our room with its queen sized bed and adjoining sitting area was clean and comfy. We appreciated the small refrigerator and microwave to store and warm up our late night snacks. One tv in each room made it easy for one of us to nap and the other to "veg" out, if we wanted to! It's true the front desk is not manned twenty four hours, but you are given a number to contact in case of an emergency. And the guests are asked to observe quiet time between 10pm and 8am. This worked for us. I didn't miss the hundred room hotel with potential all night parties next door. After a day full of fun Fall festivities...quiet, peaceful and cozy is just what we needed. We are certain to visit again, perhaps in the spring or summer season. But definitely, most definitely again with the changing of the leaves.

Free self park is also available on the casino lot. Luckily the check in was smooth and the folks at the desk were pleasant. On room entry, we found the room to be clean and spacious. The bathroom was especially nice given its generous size and ample stock of toiletries. The beds were comfortable as well. Drawbacks in the room include lack of mini fridge and microwave. They will provide one on request, but charge $25/day. A bit steep. The room was also frigid. When we arrived, the AC was set to 63 degrees. We of course turned it up but after each housekeeper cleaned, the thermostat was set back to sub zero temps! Final drawback was that the room did have faint odors of cigarettes despite being a non smoking room. It became less noticeable the longer we were in the room but never quite dissipated. Our favorite thing about the hotel itself was the lovely golf course view from our room and the onsite hiking trail. The trail is really lovely and well kept. It runs alongside a stream and is set back from the road nestled in the loveliest trees. So beautiful this time of year with the changing foliage. I wouldn't be opposed to future stays but would likely explore some other options in the Poconos first. The onsite restaurants were letdowns in our opinion but we did enjoy some offsite eateries nearby. I would call this an above average experience. Probably best for those folk who want to enjoy the casino!

This is advertised as a full kitchen. On day 2 we step out from 11am until 5pm, to return to room and they are just starting to clean room. If you are making a quick one night or two night stay-over and wish to stay close to the H2OO water park then maybe but otherwise I would not recommend.

We checked into the hotel, which was busy and crowded, but they have kiosks to make check-in faster (although annoyingly, the first wristbands we got from the kiosk didn't work, so we had to return to the front desk--you use the wristbands to unlock your room, enter the water park, make room charges, etc.). We had dinner at the buffet--totally fine, serviceable, what you'd expect at a family resort. (I've had worse food at a family resort--e.g., Legoland in upstate New York.) The room was big, but dated and not very "fancy." It was also not soundproofed well; we could hear kids running upstairs (but luckily we are good sleepers, and we got good rest). We went to the water park the next morning at 10, stayed for about two to three hours, and had a great time. It wasn't too crowded at this time, and we didn't have long waits for any of the slides--which were a nice mix of fun, slightly scary, but not TOO scary. The water in the pools was quite warm, as was the air temperature--they heat it to 84, I believe. By the time we left, it was crowded, and most chairs and loungers were taken. Tips: go early to the water park (at opening), bring snacks and drinks of your own if you want (theirs are not cheap, and consider bringing your own beach towels (the ones they provide are thin). Overall, Great Wolf Lodge is good family fun. But it's crowded and not high-end, so keep your expectations reasonable, and you will have a good time.

FIRST OFF.... I read thru these reviews and canceled my reservations....then I couldn't get another room elsewhere at such last minute because all the other ski resorts were full... I was so upset about the whole situation until I pull up to this beautiful colony of small villas and suites... -I loved the fact I could just pull into my own parking space directly in front of the unit. Privacy is essential to me. I then walk into my suite and WOW. -There's a gorgeous modern/updated full bathroom with beautiful spa like features... -A huge round King size bed, -a deep jacuzzi right across from the bed and in a separated section of the room, -a lovely 2-person private pool (Yes, a POOL in every room WOW) ...and even a fireplace just for you, YES WOW -flat screen TVs -MIRRORS EVERYWHERE (makes the suite feel like a mini-mansion) ...the design of the place was so unique, it made me want to look up the architect that built this place and have him build my place lol... WOW -the staff was extremely attentive and super courteous, like really really nice people that all greet you as soon as you walk up to them, which is very welcoming -they have a cute little club and resturant that isn't all that bad...lol... -they also have a delivery service for food that taste pretty good/fresh ....keep in mind, -THIS RESORT IS OLD. Like 60 years old, and most of the guest are retirees and old couples (which is actually quite inspiring if you don't mind moving out of the way of their walkers lol...) -they are in the process of renovating and updating the property so bare with them because most rooms here are still 100x better then any of the surrounding resorts -this resort is suitable for couples 45 & up, mature crowd only. -some of the rooms still have the same pools/jacuzzi as they did when it was built, which is kind of gross and cheesy (heart shaped pool lol) -the water in PA is hard and causes water stains and scum to build up in the jacuzzis which isn't really their fault but it is gross -the fireplace is in the same room with the pool so the fumes can get a tad overbearing -Kinda smells like mold everywhere in the bathroom areas -the activities are cute but not all available at all times -and the buffet food was high school cafeteria-ish but not that bad. -my waiter gave me a glass of ginger ale that tasted so much like dish washing fluid, I had to spit it out, but he was so nice I still left him a $5 tip just cause I appreciate the fact they even are trying to make your experience as wonderful as they can ;)) -funny comics and good entertainment -fresh popped popcorn all day!) -delicious coffee machine in lobby (free of charge) ....overall the common areas make you feel like you're visiting your grandparents nursing home on Disco Night lol But the old folks got moves so don't sleep on EM ...you've gotta really open your mind if you are going to stay here and make the best of it cause you will LOVE your room either way... ....BEST room Ive rented from a hotel in PA... read more

After carefully reading the reviews we knew EXACTLY what to expect when we got there. It seems that the negative reviews are due to the fact that those people simply did not do their research. In this day and age when the answer to just about any question is a few mouse clicks away, it's the fault of the consumer for not being informed. This place is dated, cheesy and so much fun! Your room will have wall paper coming off the wall. In our case it's was put back up with packing tape. There were a few burn marks on the carpet next to the fire pit. The mirrors around the in room pool are scuffed up. Needless to say some areas of your room and the resort facilities could use some TLC. With that said, we had a blast! If you come here with the intention of having a good time and not taking life so seriously then that's exactly what's going to happen. We went for the all inclusive package. Which includes breakfast, dinner and nightly entertainment. The only down part was that alcohol was not included. We stayed in a champagne suite and this room is amazing! You have a personal heart shaped pool that is heated. If you get bored with the over head lighting you can always turn on red pool light. There is also a massage table with a heat lamp and a sauna. Of course there is the insane jacuzzi that over looks the living room (bring bubble bath). After that we would relax by the fire place (bring your own duraflame logs) The staff was pleasant and looking to help you in any way they can. Everyone always had a smile on their face. I read that some people did not like the food but I had a different opinion. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the steak and lobster for dinner was perfectly cooked to my liking and the lobster was fresh. They have a game room with some old school games, billiards, ping pong, air hockey, racket ball and the lost goes on. In the same building there is an indoor pool with two huge hot tubs, one with a big water fall that it's warm and the other with a small waterfall which is hot. We took advantage of both and we highly recommend you do too. The entertainment was top notch. We saw Justin Willman and he was hysterical. He's a magician/ comedian and he did not disappoint. We can not wait to come back. We will definitely get the champagne suite again since it was everything we thought it would be. We might try cove haven or Pocono palace and see what the other locations have to offer. Just remember to do your research and leave your expectations at home. Your vacation is what YOU make it. We have fun anywhere we go. That's just how we roll. read more

Just awful! What a nightmare! We arrived at Paradise Stream, Saturday April 28th. We planned a romantic Birthday getaway weekend, that turned into a complete nightmare! Upon arrival at room 333. Immediately the smell of mold hit you as you opened the door. The room was dirty and deplorable. The room appeared not to have been updated in 30 yrs. We will start with the jacuzzi. It was dirty with soap scum sticking on the bottom, the pool tile was broken and cracked, definitely a tripping or foot cutting hazard. The wall between the jacuzzi and TV wall, had black mold growing at the bottom, clearly from the leaking Jacuzzi constantly. The shower, where the caulk line was supposed to be was BLACK with mild. This room wasTotally disgusting. We left,complained ar the office and they changed our room to 310. We were told a member of the house keeping staff would meet us at the room, which no on ever showed up, and we were told this room would be much better and more to our liking. Upon arrival at the building you has to dodge huge piles of duck poop, that clearly never cleaned up. This room was just as outdated as the last, shower still had a mold line but less than in Room 333. We decided to make the best of it since we drove 3 hours to get here. We actually stayed out of the room as much as possible due to the out date-ness of the room and the carpet totally grossed me out. The entire place is carpeted with red carpet that clearly has not been changed or cleaned in 30 yrs. Day 2 we spent the entire day out sight seeing, we arrived back at the room around 11pm. As we were getting ready to end the night. A Huge RAT ran across the room from the fireplace/TV area and under the couch. My husband got a trash can and moved the couch to try trap it and it ran under the bed. At this point my bags were pack and we left for the office. We demanded a full refund. We spent over 700 for two nights. They would only refund one night. Which is bull for all the hassle we put up with. A complete nightmare of a weekend. We checked into the Mt Airy Lodge at 12:45am. Should have stayed there from the beginning. Cost 120.00 and was absolutely beautiful. Don't be fooled by this place, The Board of Health should shut it down. read more

I'm not sure where Jenny was staying, but it can't possibly be the same resort I just left. First of all, we booked a jacuzzi suite and when we checked in we got a free upgrade- they let us choose any of the fancy suites they offered for free! We chose the Garden of Eden Apple because I had heard consistently good things. We were so excited as we walked to our room, despite the weird and borderline creepy appearance the outside of the buildings have. (It's because they are round and don't have any windows) We had a gorgeous CLEAN room all done in shades of red and white with a red heart shaped tub, big fireplace, and in-room pool and sauna. Extremely romantic. We enjoyed every aspect of the room. The round "Blush Bed" was amazingly comfortable, the pool (which I thought would be weird) was SO fun, and we loved burning logs in the fireplace to make the room cozy. We didn't use the sauna because I'm weirded out by tiny spaces and don't necessarily like to be hot, but it looked nice and clean in there too. We loved hooking up our ipod to the bose player provided in the room and pumping our music through the surround sound system that runs through the entire suite. (although be sure to bring a proper RCA cord in order to hook up the ipod- it is not provided) After reading tons of reviews on this place we did follow some other people's suggestions like bringing our own logs for the fireplace and bringing our own drinks (there is a mini fridge in the room)- so be sure to read other reviews (tripadvisor.com has a million) for great tips like that. DEFINITELY do the horseback riding next door (you can walk there) it was so fun and really affordable. I do think that they have recently undergone renovations, so maybe Jenny had some issues but I saw nothing like that while I was there. Everything seemed updated and clean. Food was good. It wasn't the best 5 star restaurant food, but it was decent food and they give you whatever you want so you can always order something else if you don't like what you got. The service is WONDERFUL. Everyone is happy and friendly and aims to please. I find it unbelievable that anyone would complain about that aspect of it. All in all- we will definitely be going back. read more

This is for the pocono palace resort; I have never been so embarrassed and treated so poorly by a place in all my life. My boyfriend and I almost spent the night at this resort, when we tried to sleep the bar music was so loud it felt like it was right in the room. I phoned down to the desk and the man said to pack up and come down... At 10:30pm I was a little annoyed we even had to repack and move, but we did. I get down there and he hands us new keys, and I ask about the room for tomorrow night, the guy then says we only have one room for tonight. I am in a wedding and the bride was told by employees and her wedding planner that the night of the wedding there is a complimentary room. The guy at the front desk then says no it is a room for a day that is only for changing. He tells me that the bride lied to me, and that we both have NO COMMON SENSE! He told me to call the bride, the night before her wedding!!, so that she can tell me that she lied about the room! He took 40 mins to give me my money back because he was arguing with me about how his employees would never tell the bride that a room was free. I just don't understand then why no one said a thing when I checked in only 4 hours prior, with the bride present!, and she said "okay so this guest will be here two nights because that room is complimentary ". I asked to speak to a manager seeing as how I live over 2 hours away and I did not want to miss the wedding over miscommunication between the employees, the front desk employee said he was a supervisor and he could offer me NO help what's so ever, and then calls security to escort me out!! I have never been treated like that at a place that people speak highly of! Your employees line of communication obviously has some holes in it!!! Also, the carpet has stains all over it, AND the bed sheets had a red stain (looked like blood) before we even laid or stuff down!!! read more

My friend and I had booked a lakeside villa for two nights. We thought we would have a wonderful vacation. We sat on our porch for two days watching a goose sit on the eggs that were hatching. On the second night, about 8pm, we sat there in shock and disbelief as two of the hotel staff went up to the nest and bashed the eggs with what looked like a stick of golf club. The goose stood there with his head hung low, and stayed there all night. He was still sitting near his nest in the morning. We confronted the men who did this, and contacted two people in management, who told us that this is "animal control." We saw only these two geese on the property, and they were on a small island alcove in the lake, not bothering anyone. Needless to say, it ruined our vacation, and we left first thing in the morning. I cannot believe how heartless and cruel these people were, and believed that the only mistake they made was doing it during hours that we were awake. This is animal cruelty ...and shows that for "The Land of Love" there is no heart or love at all. I would never recommend this resort to anyone, for that simple reason. Think before you book here and have to see what this management calls "acceptable animal control." read more

From the time we arrived to the time we left, our experience was one for the books! Upon check in, our room was upgraded to a Garden of Eden Apple suite when we had originally booked our stay in a Jacuzzi suite! With this upgrade, we were pleasantly surprised to find a pool and a sauna in our room!! The staff was very accommodating and contributed to a positive experience (shout out billy o!!!) Billy O, the CXO, was super friendly, had a great sense of humor, and was super fun to interact with! He hosted a "would you rather" game and we won a free fire log for the fireplace in our room! The included breakfast and dinner were phenomenal, and the nightly entertainment, a magician, provided a great show! We even were involved in his act! The resort was pretty, the room was clean, and the amenities were great! We'all definitely be back again! Thank you Paradise Stream for making our trip one we will never forget!! :) read more

My boyfriend and I just returned from a two night stay at Paradise Stream. We didn't want to leave !! It far exceeded our expectations. The champagne tower room is incredible.. steam shower.. champagne hot tub .. heart shape pool..sauna and fire place. The room was clean but dated but we didn't care! Where can you go and have all these amazing options in your room ? We used all of them and it was so relaxing! The staff were amazing ! Friendly .. helpful and accommodating . There are so many activities to do you won't be bored . Lots of outdoor activities and in the lounge! We played many of the couples games and had so much fun ! They had a wine testing and beer testing while we were there which was a lot of fun and DJ. The pool and hot tub in main area was also amazing .. we spent everyday enjoying the large waterfall hot tub!! read more

This was a beautiful place,we loved the room. But the service here just sucked. The ppl at the front desk kept messing things up causing alot of unneccesary stress for me. And they didnt fix it or make up for it . The food at the restaurant, especially the dinner- was horrible, and the menu was for a very select palette. So beware when paying for all inclusive, you're better off eating out. I thought this would be a perfect place but things happened that were unacceptable. Other than that, it is a great place for love. We wanted to get married there but afraid the same things will happen on that stay. It has the potential to be better if the staff chose to. read more

Paradise Stream is by far our favorite place in the Poconos. We love the Lakeside Villa and enjoy sitting on the covered deck enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. We also enjoying sitting inside in front of the roaring fire. The food is excellent and they accommodate my food allergies with an excellent meal. A special thank you to Camber for always answering any questions or taking care of any needs we have. We have been married for 11 years and this was without a doubt one of the best times we ever had. The staff was great, the morning breakfast was amazing (we did dinner somewhere in town), and the room was incredible. We stayed in the Garden of Eden. It was a surprise for my wife, and after we first saw our room she asked in shock, "How did you find this? I didn't even know a place like this existed." We hope to make this an annual trip, and I couldn't recommend highly enough the Garden of Eden! If you are looking for a romantic getaway, you will not find better. read more

My boyfriend and I went there for our anniversary in September. WE GOT CHLAMYDIA FROM THIS PLACE!!!! We made the mistake of going skinny dipping in the pool, learned a valuable lesson! The pool obviously needed to be cleaned!! We used the tub, which we had to clean out before our use of it. Sheets were stained and housekeeping moved our "toys" around. We also got the dining package, which was not worth it! Horrible "lobster" and horrible breakfast. Overall, I would NEVER go here!!!!! You will get STDs! read more

My boyfriend and I came here for a weekend getaway and we stayed in a lakeside villa. We were debating between the champagne towers and the lakeside villa, but I'm glad we went with the villa because of the location. The villas were very close to the gift shop (where you rent all activity equipment), the dining room, and all activities. I was nervous after reading the reviews, but the rooms and bathrooms were actually really clean. The food was mediocre, but it didn't make us sick. We had a blast! read more

We stayed 2 nights in the Garden of Edan Apple Suite. We had our own private pool. Just the right size for 2. Jacuzzi and a sauna in the room as well. Lots of outdoor and indoor activities even though we stayed mid week. Such a relaxing time with much fun had. Paddle boats, archery just to name a few. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. Arrived at 4:00 exhausted. Was assured our room would be ready at 3:00. At check- in we were told our room was not ready and we were "number 2" on the queue. NO.
