The service is good but the room smell stinky and after my massage she asking for the tip same as the charge for an hour massage.

New SPA ALERT South park. A SPA in south park l has been needed! . Linda was my massage therapist…read more She's very experienced in Chinese technique. It was fantastic! I got a lot of muscle, relief and relaxation. The staff is very nice. I met with a girl named Georgia and they are still getting up and running. There's some really good deals. I got a $10 off coupon for my next visit as well as they have a subscription if you pay 65 a month you get 10% off every treatment they have something called a seashell massage which I've never had you also can get a salt scrub with it. That's something. I'm really looking forward to doing their massage. Rooms are still basic. I think they could dim the lights more with some aromatherapy and a bit of sound cancellation but overall great experience. And a good price it was $85 for 60 minutes. I'm definitely gonna go back.

I HATE giving bad reviews to small businesses, especially ones in DTLA. Luxe Luminary Spa opened 1…read moremonth ago and has SO much potential to become a staple in the neighborhood. My experience last night was very questionable with significant improvements needed. I just want to start off by saying that staff is very friendly. They are Mandarin speakers so I was able to converse without issue. Luxe Luminary also uses high-end products like Dyson and Moroccan Oil from what I saw. I booked the 45-min scalp relief therapy via Vagaro and it sucks to say that I've never wanted 45-min to end faster. I've had scalp treatments and hair washes in Asia and LA so I know what to expect, and this was NOT it. There was no scalp analysis to see what I'm starting or ending with, or how to improve my scalp health. I put on a robe and sat in the fancy massage chair that didn't seem suitable as a hair wash station. It rotates and leans back into the wash bowl. My shoulders and neck hurt because it's not very comfortable after 10 mins. The service was extremely mediocre as the lady seemed very inexperienced in what she was doing. It was just mostly brushing, shampooing, and random massages around the head. Shampoo bottle fell into the wash bowl splashing water everywhere and comb was dropping on the floor. The temperature of the water was so hot that it was burning my scalp and I requested to lower the temperature. For whatever reason, it was always too hot or too cold, never a comfortable temperature. After the wash was done, the chair lifted me back up without my hair wrapped up, so all the water was dripping down the back of my neck. The chair also had a life of its own and was just rotating and leaning backwards with me on it. Lastly, I was not expecting a full-on blow dry at this point, but damn, my hair was not dried at all. Stepping off the chair, there was water all over the floor. I felt like a total mess and just wanted to go home at this point. See picture of what my hair looked like after leaving the place. It's so frizzy and unkempt..... This morning, my scalp still felt really sensitive from the burning water. I'm sad, but glad I also got free snacks, drinks, 10% off, and a complimentary sound speaker from Luxe Luminary lol.

ALL THE ONE STAR REVIEWS ARE VERY ACCURATE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY HERE!…read more The one thing that all the one star reviews have in common is that the therapist do not show up at the time or at all. This happened to me where I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes trying to get a hold of front desk (which they don't have). The staff at the hotel let me know that this happens often and there wasn't anything they could do. I gave up waiting and went back home. 3 hours past my originally appointment, they texted to reschedule. I rescheduled deep tissue massage the same day and confirmed with them the time. I go there for the second time and to your guess no one is there AGAIN. James was my massage therapist and I started to raise concerns of James qualification as a licensed massage therapist. I've had many massages and the way he undraped me was very inappropriate. It already made me feel uncomfortable. Not to mentioned, he left a bruise on my back the following day! My friends are massage therapist and they said the muscle he was working which is where the bruise is located- is a tender spot. You are NOT suppose apply a lot of pressure in that area. I also asked him to perform a different method because all of his moves were just the same repeated simple movements and he proceed to the same simple movements any average joe could have done. In another instance, he used all his body weight towards my body that was way too close to my bottom rib. I honestly think I was going to go home with broken ribs..I was really confused what kind of massage I was getting.. This isn't the WWE?! I didn't find the massage to have any technicality to it just the same o' movements. I was in touch with Eva, who seems to be the owner of Faris, and told her my experience at her spa. I mean the lack. of. customer. service. wow. She tried to argue that the bruise is not from the massage. Nothing was resolved in our conversation. I would NEVER recommend a spa like Frais.. not even to my enemies.. Save your time and money, folks. There are a lot more spas in DTLA and Ktown worth your while.

I was a walk in and didn't have time to wait. I instead got Saline, who was AMAZING. She truly listened to everything I told her, made her presence known throughout the massage but not too much, so I was able to fully relax. I cannot say enough good things about this massage. The space itself was cramped and no frills and some of the pressure is on fellow GUESTS to keep their voices down (please keep this in mind!) but it has everything. The space felt clean and cozy. I went for a 1.5 hour massage which felt like a splurge because it was longer than I normally do, but their prices were so reasonable and I had just come off a very long work week that it felt needed. The massage was so incredibly relaxing and left me in a little bit of pain in a good way. I knew Saline had found a lot of my deep knots, so there was no way for it to be without pain, but every fit of it was so worth it. It was so relaxing and I left feeling 100x better than when I came in. It was a little hard to find because it's on a small strip mall, but now that I know where it is I won't miss it. Highly recommend this spot!

She wasn't in town, and the front desk recommended Michelle instead. Best surprise ever. I have been getting massages for years, and this was on another level. I was brought to tears at random moments in the session. Michelle used techniques I've never experienced before. If she asks to use her feet, say yes. Trust me. The level of skill, intuition, and passion she brings to her work is rare. You can feel that she genuinely cares about what she's doing. I left feeling reset in a way I can't fully explain. Phenomenal. Truly 10 stars.

But I want to leave an honest review so that Soya can improve and give transparency to those who may visit in the future. I get massages a LOT, so I have a lot of experiences to compare this to. I tried this place as it was convenient. The establishment was warm, I appreciate the AC was turned on once my session began, but it was still very warm and only cooled down a bit. The massage was not good. I was fully clothed (they provided an outfit) and the masseuse just rubbed, squeezed and pressed onto my body, there were no true techniques used to massage knots or even in a therapeutic or relaxing way. It was not what I expected, usually I have a bare back when I get massages. I don't think the gentleman massaging me is trained. It kind of felt like one of those half-effort quick shoulder squeezes my fiancé gives me while I'm sitting on at my computer and he's checking in on me. If you're looking to just lay there and kind of zone out, this might be the place for you. Maybe. But if you're looking for an effective and solid / real massage, I do not recommend.

The walking on the back may have been the best I've experienced. Everything felt very intentional to the needs of my body. The only thing that was off putting. Although they don't say anything to you, at the end of the massage, the masseuse is waiting there with your water/tea. If for some reason you didn't want to tip, I could see it being a very awkward exit. Or if you simply can't afford the tip amounts they're recommending, it could be an awkward exit. The bed was clean and if you're a little chilly ask them to turn on the warmer. I was excited to learn this was an option. Overall great spot. I plan to go on the regular.
