We contacted Artscape and from the get-go, Ben responded promptly. Ben asked us to fill out a landscape needs/wants questionnaire which provided him with a general idea of our vision. My wife wanted more of a succulent dominant landscape whereas I wanted more color and plant textures. Ben spent a considerable time incorporating our thoughts into a cohesive plan and a landscape design to fit our topography and climate. This was a dynamic process with a lot of communication. With our budget in mind, Ben provided alternative plant choices and explained the reasoning in a thoughtful, kind, and professional manner. Ben is an excellent communicator and designer. Once we agreed on the plan, Oscar and Melvin completed the installation. They were always on time, worked tirelessly and surpassed our expectations of professionalism. We received status updates at each milestone and were informed on what work was to take place leading to the next milestone. During the install, they found some leaks in our irrigation system and fixed the leaks. Oscar went above and beyond to help us find and install a modern sprinkler monitoring system which is working wonderfully. We love our new front landscape and updated backyard landscape. Even our neighbors have remarked how much they love looking at the new landscape! We highly recommend Artscape! Ben's leadership and creativity in the design are unsurpassed, and Oscar and Melvin's plan execution produced a beautiful landscape which we will enjoy for years to come.

They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices. We replaced most of the grass in the back with their pavers and used the same pavers for our driveway. They look fantastic. We have a neighbor that had Pacific Outdoor build them a firepit that they love. We received great guidance and attention from the full team all along the way. They didn't quit until the project was finished to our satisfaction. As I float in our beautiful pool and eat tangerines off of my new tree, I feel like a queen and couldn't be happier after choosing Pacific Outdoor! Our family highly recommends them!

(They had also done an excellent job on the pool deck five years earlier, before I knew I was going to fill in the pool.) I have been very pleased with the results, which have really elevated my enjoyment of my home's outdoor areas. I would also caution anyone considering going with System Pavers to steer clear of those crooks. I wasted thousands of dollars having them do a terrible job on my pool deck, and had to have Pacific rip out their work and fix it. It was an expensive mistake that I hope to save others from repeating. If I had gone with Pacific in the first place, I would have saved lots of money and hassle. On a project of this scale, finding a contractor you can genuinely trust to deliver top-tier build quality without cutting corners is rare, but Edgar and his team delivered on every front. They managed to execute the job efficiently and move fast without ever making the work feel rushed. Edgar approaches every aspect of the build with a true "measure twice, cut once" mentality, ensuring every detail was carefully thought out well before the concrete was poured. What truly sets Edgar apart from other contractors is his transparency and client-first mindset. Rather than making unilateral calls or pushing options that benefit his own bottom line, he presented every decision with clear options and thoughtful pros and cons. He never nickel-and-dimed small adjustments or weaponized formal change orders just to inflate the bill. Additionally, his crew was exceptionally professional, courteous, and respectful. As a landlord managing a property with tenants on-site, this was invaluable. While many contractors disregard tenants because they aren't the paying client, Edgar's crew treated everyone on the property with complete respect and care. Platinum Paving offers remarkably competitive pricing, but more importantly, the value and quality of their craftsmanship far exceed the rate they charge. If you have a large-scale project, especially on a rental or multi-unit property, do yourself a favor and get a quote from Platinum Paving before making a final decision. I highly recommend them!

This was a big investment for us, and he took the time to answer questions, work within our budget, offer alternatives, and give thoughtful recommendations when we were unsure about certain decisions. His communication and customer service were excellent from start to finish. His crew was also wonderful to work with, respectful, hardworking, professional, and genuinely nice people. We truly enjoyed having them around during the project. Most importantly, the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. Jonathan and team completely transformed our backyard in under a month. They installed a new lawn, TimberTech deck, native plants, irrigation and drainage, lighting, and tied our existing front-yard irrigation into the new system. The design process was easy and affordable, and Jonathan was on site every day. He was communicative, thoughtful, and paid attention to the little details throughout the project. The whole crew was great to have around and kept everything clean at the end of each day. They even did a thorough final cleanup of the windows and doors around the yard. What we appreciated most was that their care didn't stop once the project was finished. They came back to fix a faulty sprinkler head and later trenched along the grass by the deck when we realized skunks were trying to get underneath. We love how the backyard turned out and how much more we actually use the space now. We'd absolutely recommend Herencia and happily work with Jonathan and team again.

Once construction started, Jonathan and his team were excellent. They arrive promptly each day and cleanup well. Jonathan is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. What stood out most was his communication and transparency. He provided daily updates, either by text or in person, walking me through the progress and explaining what was coming next, which gave me a lot of confidence throughout the project. I also really appreciated his fantastic customer service and follow-through. For example, the game light I purchased arrived broken from the manufacturer, and Jonathan came back promptly after the project was finished to install the replacement once it arrived. The entire project took about a week, and the final result exceeded my expectations. The court and surrounding landscaping look amazing, drain properly, and have completely transformed our backyard. Seeing my son excited to play on it every day makes it even more worth it. I highly recommend Herencia Landscaping to anyone looking for high-quality, reliable, and professional outdoor work. Our project consisted of pouring 2 concrete slabs (1 along the side of the house and a second in the backyard), planting a boarder trim, and installing sprinkler systems in our back and front yard. Joel and crew completed all parts of this project with attention to detail and communicated effectively throughout. First and foremost, I have to give a huge shout out to the team lead managing the concrete part of our project. His attention to detail in recommending ideal drain setups in the sections where water had pooled in the past are exactly why we went Joel - we want to do things right the first time. After chatting with Joel, we installed the recommended drains, preventing a potentially expensive fix down the road. The rest of the project was completed with professionalism and Joel was great in communicating and working with our needs. Our one constructive feedback is that we did not receive a mock-up of the project before work was underway. We had a few last minute changes (the width of the trim around the backyard and the size of the mulch area in the front yard), but Joel & team communicated effectively and worked with us to make sure our needs were taken care of. All in all, we are so happy with our completed project. The level of professionalism, attention to detail, and our new back/front yard makes us confident that we made the correct choice in choosing Joel for our project. Thank you!

BRING ON THE SUPER EL NINO!…read more Joel and Sons recently completed a much overdue project at our home. For years, our outside drains were clogged, and I found myself setting up pumps during the storms to get the pools of water away from our home. Every year, I would tell myself that I would get the drains cleared. Before the rains came this past winter, I hired a company to hydro jet the pipes. They tried to clear the drains, but because they were so clogged, their equipment failed. Again, I was setting up the pumps during the rain storm. So, I researched and found Joel and Sons. I met Joel and he examined our front/back yards. He gave an excellent and fair estimate that would fix the drainage problems. Throughought the entire project, Joel sent videos of the work being performed. He and the crew went above and beyond to make sure we wouldn't have any future issues. I am so impressed by Joel and Sons, and I will call them again for future projects. More importantly, I will make referrals to my family and friends.
