I don't usually write reviews, but I want thank Paradise Nail Spa for giving me the longest lasting manicure I've ever had. I have natural nails and my polish usually chips a few days after application. But after eight days, my regular OPI polish has no chips and still looks like new. Definitely appropriately named! I am a transwoman and committed fanatically to glamour. Nails are to me the flags of my identity. There was a time when i often woke up uneasy. Was i, after all, a woman or a man? We call it morning dysphoria. Then i looked at my hands and the exquisite nails My Friend and Teacher Anne has designed for me. Terrible value for your dollar. $40 for mani and pedi and the place doesnt even have a place to sit to dry with heaters. For disclosure- I was on my phone talking a lot but the facilities isn't adequate enough for a nail parlor. There are NO heaters for anything!! I did ask for a heater and the owner go huffy on me. I still tipped $10 but really the facilities arent proper for nail place or for the price of $40!! WHO AIR DRIES NAILS THESE DAYS!!!! I'm sad to post a not so great review. Been here a few times and always had a great experience. Friendly staff -went in 330 on Wednesday and said I need to get a full set in about 45 minutes. Said no problem and wouldn't be the first time I've had them done under an hour. The lady was friendly and applied everything well up until the acrylic powder where she just dumped layers on and didn't even them out. My nails look like giant blobs of gel... there's no shape and they aren't smooth. Looks like acrylic sets if I tried doing them on my own at home. Another lady at the salon noticed they looked "blob" like and tried to help and buff them out. Honestly this just made the process sloppy and painful. It hurt very bad and just lessened the experience. It was also 35$ a few months ago for a full set and now it was 50 with gel??? Not extremely pleased about that either. All in all I feel like I'm out $50 and now that I have to go elsewhere tomorrow to get them fixed because the quality just doesn't look good and I don't want these nails for three weeks. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. First there were bugs crawling across the station I could see from the pedicure chair... nail tech just watched it and didn't say or clean them up. Next I asked 5 times for a fill including when i made my appointment, showed a picture of what I wanted simple French Manicure with powder over my natural nails same as what I previously had. She didn't drill the old powder she put powder right over the top of it.. then asked if that was what I wanted I said no and said I'll show you the picture again. She looked and said that my old powder wouldn't let her do that. So I said you have to file the old powder.. she then started removing the old powder put pink powder all over my nails and said I'll paint the white.. I said I wanted powder but ok. She painted the nails and you could see the line of fill underneath because she didn't file the old powder enough. So she decided she was painting them pink with gel polish. Hoping to fix her mistakes she then started the white portion by now I've been sitting there for 1.5 hours pregnant and just wanted to get out of the dirty environment so said fine paint them. She painted the pink then white and went to try them. They were still wet when she tried filing again and so she messed up the white portion and now we're at 2 hours. She dried them some more and said it'll be 75 dollars for my nails. I said for nails and pedi correct? And she said no 45 for pedi and 75 for nails. And I said it's 75 for a fill? she said no I took off your old nails, then did a new set then gel polish. I said I don't have nails and didn't come in with nails it was a routine fill. The nail tech next to her who started working on them with her also kept telling her fill and the lady started yelling at her and saying no I know what I did and I said again you didn't put a set of nails on these are my nails and she said nope pay $75. So I paid her I don't mind paying for services I received, but this place doesn't follow directions, says they can do things they cannot (a simple French manicure couldn't even be done) and charges you for services you don't receive so please beware!! read more

My friend and I walked in around 6:30pm and they were accommodating. We had stopped by 2 salons before this one and no one could provide a mani and pedi without an hour wait time. Paradise nails welcomes us right away. Had us in the pedi chairs in minutes. They close around 7:30pm and they didn't rush us by any means. They treated us like royalty. They complimented us in every way imaginable. Mimi, Mandy and Annie (the owner) were the best. If only could take them home with me to New York. I used to love this place, but the recent customer service has gone down hill (like, no warmth or friendliness whatsoever and the nail tech was on a call with her AirPods the entire time). But the worst part is that after my recent powder dip manicure from Paradise Nail Spa, I developed a fungal infection in 3 nails!! The other nail spa said that this was due to improper filing which allowed water to get in. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. There are other, friendlier options nearby that cost less. read more

This is the second time that I have been to Paradise Nail Spa. And I am just as pleased with this time as the first one. The ladies there treat you like a queen. They are professional, courteous, and friendly. I was a walk in and they treated me the same way they treat long time customers. The spa is small with 5 chairs and two tables. They have every color of polish in the rainbow. The ambience is quiet and tranquil with soft music playing in the background. And they are busy! They have lots of return clients that drop in at the last minute like I did and willing to return the next day when they might be less busy. It's a little out of the way, but from someone who lives in San Francisco, being able to park for free is a pleasure. Thank you so much for your wonderful friendly service. I've been going to this nail salon for years, each time am very very satisfied. It is the cleanest salon in the city. Those who complain about the price, you pay cheaper elsewhere but the work may not be satisfactory. Someone complained about speaking another language by staff is very condescending and assume they are not being talked about is weird. Excuse me but San Francisco is a diverse city and everyone is free to speak their own language. This are hard working people stop trashing them. when a person speaks a different language, often are misunderstood because of the accents. This nail salon is a pretty package on the outside, but the quality of service and product are not there. Services: -mani -mani +french -pedi +french x2 -mani +french, new gel technique Total $90, okay not bad, but REALLY: -Do you have to do a neck massage w/lotion when we are wearing clothes? -Can you please laterally brush nail tips with polish and top coat? -Can you properly coat the nails with top coat? -Can you be more consistent w/your service? 2/3 of us got massages. -Can you not try to pull a fast one and overcharge? -Can you not question your clients when they think you haven't done a complete job? Oh and the new gel technique? Pure crap. Chipped a few hours later AND needs professional removal. What a rip. read more

We were searching for any place that was available in the area. So we choose this one cause the first one was too busy. There's 1 hr metered parking out front. They have 6 pedicure chairs, 2 tables for manicures & 3 massage chairs for when you are done. There were 3 women working & only 1 customer at the time. We chose the $38 Spa Mani & Pedi. My experience was lovely. I loved every moment! I checked out some of the reviews for this place & I guess with only 3 workers you shouldn't come here if it's too busy. But this last time was truly one of the worst manicures I've gotten :( the pictures say it all. I went to a different salon less than a week later and they were like omg WHERE did you get your nails done these look awful. All I got was Gel Manicure. It was nothing special, just the normal which would be have been fine except when I went to pay the lady said it was $75. Online it said $45. It was obviously she was trying to take advantage of a tourist the way she went about it. I was so shocked, I just paid it and left. I've been going to Paradise for a few years now, and they always do an excellent job! They've been one of the few nail salons in SF that do a really great job of cleaning up calluses and cuticles, my feet are always baby smooth when I leave (which is a feat for my runners feet)! There's also the added bonus of a really great massage including legs, arms, and shoulders. The only thing that would improve the experience is having a few more color options for gel - their selection is pretty slim compared to other salons in the area. read more

The service is quick but painful. While getting a pedicure, the person filing my nails didn't realize she was filing the skin on my nearby toes until I squirmed in pain. I tried giving them a shot twice, because I live in the neighborhood, and both times I left in pain. The second time my gel manicure chipped that same day. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I hate to give a bad review but I've tried a few times because of the proximity to where I live. It's unfortunate because all of the ladies appear nice but the service I've received on all occasions were subpar. Hadn't been in almost 2 years.... The pedicure didn't remove what should have been easy if significant lubricant and pressure applied... feet still crusty. The acrylic is lumpy/bumpy nails not formed/ shaped correct, looks like acrylic just placed on top of nail. Glue and excess a acrylic under nails and around cuticles not a good job. The shape of each nail is different and not smoothed out. Some nails are wide and falling onto the side of fingers. It takes time and skill to shape a nail properly. I won't be able to give them anymore business as I will need to pay for them to be shaped and buffed properly. read more
