(Placed our order at 6:28pm for 7:15pm pickup. Food wasn't ready until after 8:15pm) There was no sense of urgency or concern shown by restaurant staff at all. Additionally, no offer for a partial or full refund due to the extremely long wait. It feels as though they just don't care about their customers' experience. What a wonderful Indian spot in the heart of Aurora! It has been a while since I have been to this area, so I was happy to see this new plaza built up. To my surprise, Paradise Indian Cuisine has multiple locations in Ohio and I am surprised the first time I've heard of it. Nonetheless, I was super happy I stopped in for lunch. All of the food was ordered at level 2 spice, which was mild, but there was definitely a kick to each entree. Garlic naan- very fresh and full of flavor. Chicken Tikka Masala- my favorite of what we've ordered! Sweet and salty with a slight kick at the end! Dipped my naan in the gravy. This place is good, but not exceptional. I think this is possibly the first three star review I've ever given as I usually give four or five stars for excellent restaurants or one or two stars for horrible places. Let me start by saying the food was very good with the exception of the rice and the naan bread. The rice was exceptionally dry, and the naan bread was missing both flavor and texture properties that I've had at other Indian restaurants, both in Europe and in the US and Canada I had the vindaloo chicken at a spice level three out of five, medium, and it was just perfect. When I first started eating it I was thinking it might be a little too spicy, but it was just right at level three. My wife ordered a goat dish in a brown sauce, which I apologize. I can't remember, and this dish was also excellent, but know that the goat comes on the bone so you need to be wary of chewing bones as the goat is diced into edible pieces, but there is bone attached Interesting that they have a full range of spirits, but no beer or wine, which was also a bit frustrating to me and my wife. I'm cheering with everyone else! The offerings and service at The Paradise were tasty! We enjoyed our lunch. I was happy to see they offered Potato Crepe Dosa, and it was tasty and superb. I haven't had one in a long time because they're not offered at every Indian restaurant! The crepe itself is made with lentils and other ingredients and has a spicy potato filling, and it is served with dipping sauces. My spouse ordered a Chicken Hyderabadi and loved it; the chicken was tender, nicely curried, and spiced. This dish was from the central part of India, as the menu explained. My family and I came here on a rainy night craving Indian food. I had the Karapodi Gobi based off the waiter's recommendation and it was fantastic! I never had gobi like that! I would go back just to have that again. The disappointment came with the main course, the Paneer Biryani. It was so dry and there was almost no flavor. It was like having pieces of plain white rice with occasional chucks of paneer. It was just sad to eat and definitely not what biryani should be. The saving grace was the mirchi ka salan -- it add some of the minimal flavor necessary to make it more edible/worth eating. Ambiance wise, this restaurant is definitely on the fancier side for Indian restaurants. It's not your typically sweatpants/hoodie kind of place. Overall, my experience was decent. Multiple times I've had issues with them forgetting parts of our order and sometimes food is cold. Also, I've had times where I've reserved a table and I get there and they suddenly don't know that there's a table reserved. I drove an hour, wanted to give it another chance, and they tell me my reserved table is being given up to another family because they "forgot" they reserved the table a "month ago". Let me start by saying this restaurant is only 1 month old, so certainly there are new restaurant growing pains. That being said, they need to get a handle on their heat levels or just tell customers they don't do mild dishes. Personally, I had no issue, but my wife cannot handle spicy food so we always try to ensure this gets across. We ordered the "vegetable manchurian" appetizer. Yes, the name is a bit strange but it's evidently what they call this particular spice preparation at this particular restaurant. The waitress assured us it would be "American mild", which sounded fine. My wife ordered a mango lassi and I had water. My wife was going to order the Malai kabab, but the waitress said it would take 45 minutes so she ordered chicken tikka, once again "American mild". I ordered a goat dish, hot. The waitress asked if I wanted it medium and I said "no, hot". We also ordered garlic naan. The "vegetable manchurian" came out in 15 minutes. I could smell the garlic and ginger. I tried it and it was delicious. Unfortunately, it was not "American mild", but rather a solid medium. My wife tried a piece and promptly finished her mango lassi and a glass of water trying to tamp down the heat. After another ten minutes the naan and my goat were delivered. The rice didn't come out with it. The naan was fresh, crisp, and buttery delicious. I was waiting for my wife to get her food but I tried my goat. It was very tasty, but oddly not as spicy as the appetizer. In another 15 minutes a gentleman brought out my wife's chicken tikka... and an order of Malai kabob. My wife hadn't ordered the malai kabab, but instead the chicken tikka. We explained this to him but he seemed not to understand. Finally, he took it away. We still didn't have our rice which came five minutes later. My wife's chicken tikka was too spicy for her. Again, it was a medium when she asked for "American mild". She ended up eating rice and naan. The waitress came by and we explained what had happened. She read back our order and mentioned the malai kofta. We reminded her that we hadn't ordered it and she finally recalled that we were correct. The gentleman had packed it up to go and my wife, who doesn't like "to make a scene" was just going to pay for it and take it home. The waitress asked if we wanted it taken off the bill, which I found an odd question since we hadn't ordered it. I said it was up to her and she went in the back. She emerged saying she would remove it. Of note, it was a monday night and the restaurant was mostly empy. It seemed like they do a LOT of to go and Grub-hub and it seemed like the two staff we saw (our waitress and the gentleman) spent most of their time dealing with those orders. I have a LOT of Indian food to eat this week but I feel bad for anyone who cannot eat spicy food. You may be better off at a different indian restaurant. read more

We were immediately seated, scanned our menu and watched 6 staff members standing around. Nobody brought us water, asked for drink orders or even stopped by to tell us they would be with us in a moment. We just sat there for 8-10 minutes, and decided to get up and leave. We like Indian food, and everything about Paradise is wonderful. It's next to Target, so lots of parking. The dining room is clean and large with modern white and black furnishings. We were greeted as we walked in the door. Menus are on a code reader, so take your phone with you. The menu is extensive and has all the offerings, including goat. Service was friendly as rice chips were brought to our table to nibble on. Heat index is one to five with five being hot. We ordered two and three. Naan flat bread is our favorite. We asked for onion naan, and it was delicious, tho it wasn't on the menu. We shared two entrees, and still took leftovers home. Mutter Paneer was peas and cottage cheese cubes in a wonderful sauce of spices, onions and tomatoes. The level three heat was little too much, but we could eat it. Mughlai Goat was very tasty. The goat was cooked in a gravy of spices, egg and cream. The heat level was two, and perfect and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet time to sit and talk in January. Nice bathrooms. They have both north and South Indian varieties of food, all of which is excellent. Their curries are flavorful without too much cream. Biryani is also delicious. Such a great addition to the area. There's aren't many Indian cuisine places in Solon/Aurora and this place stands out not just because of the type but because the food is delicious! My mother (south Asian) didn't prefer the biriyani and said the dosa and chutneys were the highlight. I'd add that the chicken 65 was also great. Would love to go back and try more of the menu. Please be aware that this food is SPICY!! I ordered all my dishes to be mild and I still can not eat them. This is a strange because I've eaten Indian cuisine my whole life and never had a problem but when I called to complain that we couldn't even eat our $150 meal, they said, "that's how Indian food is!?" Samosas were good although small. Had the Vegetable Biryani, the ratio of rice to vegetables was off, too much rice plus it wasn't saffron rice. My wife asked for her shrimp curry to be very mild, came out too hot, they did redo it, still quite hot, she was only able to eat it with a ton of rice and using all the raita. Worst was the restroom which was very dirty, lots of trash on the floor, no paper towels--reminded me of a bad outside restroom at a gas station, in fact some of those were cleaner than this one. First time eating here... Strange decor, but I can live with that. Here's the thing, though... They had some background music going that was WAY too loud. And it was some kind of Indian music, which was okay, it just needed to be turned down to a nice background level. Seriously, it was so loud that my waitress and I couldn't hear each other speak without yelling. So, too LOUD! Wish I had good things to say about the food, but it just didn't hit the spot. I order an eggplant curry and a dosa. The waitress asked me how hot I wanted it; gave me a 1-5 scale. I said 1, please. Food came and the dosa was pretty good. The curry was so spicy I couldn't eat it. And I'm no slouch for hot food. I lived in India for a summer, in Mumbai and Goa. So I know the food pretty well. This was just WAY TOO HOT. Anyway, I think I'd just avoid this place if I were you. Maybe give them another try in a few months, after they get a chance to read some of their reviews and adjust their model. But they seriously need to think about who their customers are likely to be, and what their sensibilities are. There are great examples of what it takes to be a successful Indian restaurant in this area; look at Choolaah. As it is, this place might do well in Mumbai, but it surely won't stay in business in Bainbridge. Maybe they will do well with takeout. ...just saying. read more

I came here with a friend for dinner on a Friday night and was impressed with how beautiful the inside of this restaurant is, especially since it's located in a strip plaza. It. It came highly recommended by friends and I can see why. This is by far the prettiest Indian restaurant I have been to in the area, and I've been to many. My friend and I shared the corn soup and she had the butter chicken and I had the chicken tikka masala. I only give this place 4 stars for two reasons. First, we were told the soup was a very large bowl and decided to share it. We asked if we could have it split into two bowls and were told that we could not, but they would bring us a second bowl to split, ourselves. When it arrived, it was steaming hot and we were concerned about spilling it everywhere. We asked again if they could split it and another server agreed - took it back to the kitchen and split it there. Then our server came back out and scolded us, telling us we were not allowed to do that and it was against their protocols. I didn't like being told this as though we were breaking rules - we paid for the soup and I think it made more sense for them to do this in the kitchen than to risk us spilling soup everywhere or burning ourselves. The second reason is that they have five levels of spice - American mild, mild, medium, spicy, and very spicy. I always order a mild level 2 so I tried the regular mild - this was a huge mistake. The spice was so much that I could not enjoy my meal and I brought it home but couldn't eat the left overs. I could tell the flavor was delicious and the portions were excellent but it was just way too hot. If you like spicy, be careful here. If you don't like spicy, by all means, order American mild! Yesterday, it was my first time dining in. And it was the worst restaurant experience that I could ever have. First of all, the food was terrible. I ordered a chicken biriyani bowl and they just served me leftover discard scraps and served it to me like it was good enough and thought nothing of it and I had to pick out so many bones, fat and even found basically a whole empty chicken leg bone. While I was picking out everything, all the employees saw me the whole time and just laughed at me and I completely lost my appetite and even had to get a new dish Wow, not just awful food, but very unprofessional employees. If I could give this place no stars I would. I will never eat here again and won't recommend this place to anyone read more
