    Amazing jerk chicken lunch
    Amy J.

Amazing jerk chicken lunch! Definitely a Worcestershire based jerk sauce with about a 4/10 spice ievel. Fantastically juicy two drumsticks and thigh in my meal so not a bunch of extra bones which I love. The flavor was fantastic and charred in so well without any dryness at all. This was over a bed of rice and peas (black beans here I believe) and a side of some sort of cabbage/slaw. The fried dumplings were basically large wheat flour dense kinda sorta dry hush puppies without any spice. The banana pudding was there but kinda thick and more fluff than pudding which wasn't bad flavor wise just a bit dense and almost too "dry" in texture to be considered a pudding. Nothing bad. Get the jerk chicken!

I got the oxtail plate with jerk chicken on the side.

As a born and raised Jamaican I can attest that the food tastes great and the portion is good to serve for two days if you not greedy lol. Great service

This was the next day as I didn't get a chance to take it on the day purchased. No flavors even sat in overnight.

I was on my way to my Aunties house and thought let me stop and get us a bite to eat because, I was hungry and it was around lunch time. I'm relatively new back to #DaLand and ready, willing and able to try all foods. That's just the way my belly is set up. Take it up with Jesus OKURRR. Anyway, I'm driving and bloop I see a Jamaican spot and pull in. When you are hungry, sometimes you make rash decisions and when you don't know any better...well...I can't say that because I MAKE certain Hamaican dishes and well...I have no excuse but, you have to TRY as looks are deceiving. I walk in and it's a decent enough front of the house. A few tables, I guess in which still practicing social distancing for customers. I d I not recall to many other safety measures, but it could have been there as I was too busy listening to Chronixx and got stuck. When I snapped out, my food was wrapped and I just wanted to get to the house. OH! I did ask her was the Chicken cooked on the grill and she affirmed with a nod. Which I should have known was a lie because I didn't smell any grill or lingering of a grill!! Anywho, I get back excited and my bubble was quickly deflated. Burnt, dry, no flavor. I ordered Jerk Chicken. How do you mess that one up. I would forgive Oxtail or Goat dammit, but JERK CHICKEN? THE STAPLE DISH OF MY BELOVED JAMAICA!!!! CHO!!!! The ONLY plus is that it came with two leg quarters, but it was pointless because they were not good. The cabbage! Oh goodness. Now that had the salt the chicken was missing. Not sure if it's the same cook daily. But non grilled chicken for JERK chicken nah right. And I didn't receive ONE plantain. EVERY Jamaican restaurant from here TO Jamaica provides plantains Mon, what happen to you?!! (Kisses teet) I shall NOT return

The jerk chicken was ok. Zero on the spice level, however. Dumbed-down for Americans, I think.

I ordered the Filthy Fajita, the Crown Jewel, and the Gangsta Taco, and every single taco was packed with flavor. My favorite drink of the night was the Mandarin Cream Margarita it was incredible! The atmosphere was fun, welcoming, and perfect for enjoying great food and drinks. I'm already looking forward to coming back many more times for more tacos and another amazing experience.

1/2 - Good tacos, service needs work…read more While on a business trip with two coworkers, we stopped in at Agave & Rye for a quick lunch. It wasn't our first choice, but it ended up being a decent find--especially if you're in the mood for creative tacos. We arrived well after the lunch rush and there were only a handful of patrons in the restaurant, so it was fairly quiet. We ordered chips and salsa to start, but unfortunately they never made it to the table. When our food arrived and I asked about them, our waitress admitted she had forgotten to write it down. The food also seemed to take a bit longer than expected considering the restaurant wasn't busy. Because of that, the service was a little underwhelming. That said, the tacos themselves were the highlight of the visit. I ordered three of the smaller tacos, but they packed a lot of flavor. My picks were The Yoda, The Love Shack, and The Filthy Fajita--all creative and really well done. Small in size, but definitely big on flavor. Overall, the food was solid, but the service could use some improvement. If I lived in the area, I could definitely see this being a good happy hour spot to grab tacos and drinks with friends.

It's night and day from this location in South Euclid. This location opened fairly recently in 2023, which is not too new to have such a terrible experience. I walked in and was greeted, which was promising. I reviewed the menu, selected my previous favorite, and was ready to order. The employee working on someone else's burrito, told me to step by "Order Here" sign multiple times. I wasn't able to advance anywhere near the cash register. She then said something completely unclear multiple times and kept up wrapping her burrito. No "I'll be right with you," just mumbling. A second associate then joined her behind the counter. They then proceeded to socialize with each other and completely ignored me. There was no attempts to take my order, complete checkout, or anything. There was no estimated wait time. I'm almost certain that no customer will hang out at the burrito place all afternoon hoping to place an order. Finally I asked whether I can place an order. Both associates looked at me with surprise like it's an unusual question. Even after asking there was zero progress made with starting my order. I decided that this is my cue to understand that I'm unwelcome and leave. While the concept of beach-inspired Mexican cuisine with tropical flavors is fun, it's not fun enough to wait forever for. I won't be stopping in again. I'm sharing this experience in hopes of other customers receiving a more courteous experience.

It was unclear the size of each entree so we had to guess and hope it was enough. My food was tasty but pricey. I would consider coming back, not soon though. The location was clean and bright. I don't think we were correctly charged for our order, but I didn't feel like holding up the line so I paid. My son's entree and my entree were comparable in price but his entree was way larger. He was able to eat in two different sessions.

I had called the restaurant prior to inquire about the menu and was recommend by David to order the cod. I came back 2 hours later and was warmly greeted by him and he still remembered my call from earlier! He assured me I would get a large portion after I mentioned my budget. Inside was busy but not crowded. Lots of servers up and about. Very modern interior, clean bathroom as well. Per recommendation, I went with the crab crusted cod and oh my goodness, was it delicious. The crab topping was perfect texture wise and and had a slightly sweet flavor you expect of fresh crab. The cod was so tender, fall apart in your mouth type and was perfectly seasoned with a sauce to go on top. Fish had a slight spicy kick and that elevated the flavor beyond your typical cod fish, I suspect it was Cajun seasoning. The vegetable base was expctional as well. Fresh rice along with zucchini and corn all drizzled with the same delicious tangy sauce as the fish. At the end of the meal I complimented him on his recommendation and he told me their secret is the fish is always fresh from the morning, never frozen. And the cherry on top is this whole plate of food was only $26. For such a tasty, fresh, and large portion, that price is a steal. For context BJ Brewhouse next door will charge 36 for a tiny 5 oz fillet and mushy rice. Overall this cod was the best cod I have ever tasted and ranks among the top 2 pieces of fish I've ever eaten. Having tasted fish from Hawaii, California, Florida this cod dish at the price point of $26 easily surpasses $50 fish dishes I've had at fine dining restaurant in Cleveland and abroad. Highly recommend and ask for David if you can! He'll take care of you well.
