What a hidden gem! This unassuming little restaurant is tucked in the back of a little grocery store (which has very fresh though limited produce, by the way). All the patrons seemed to be regulars and of Latin American decent, which is a great sign of authenticity! The ceviche was fresh, and I loved my dish. However, the food comes out sporadically (app came after some entr es, and one entree was about 10min after the middle ones). Servers are a bit hard to find/flag down, but they are friendly. The meats were a tad overcooked but the flavors were good. The portions are big. I would return!

Hands down the best hole in the wall Peruivan food! I have traveled to Washington, DC, Boston, MA, Atlanta, Ga, Chicago, IL and we always try the best reviewed Peruvian restaurants in every city. Las Americas (Chef Max Diego) takes pride in his presentation and taste. He beats every "fancy" restaurant we have tried. My husband is Peruvian and I am Colombian. We are repeat customers to Las Americas because it's the best! A true Cleveland gem.

The empanadas were beautifully plated. The al pastor plain tacos were ok. The Peruvian food seems to be where it's at. My husband nervously got the fried fish. He was astounded at how good it was especially with the pickled vegetable (we forgot what it was). Everyone at our table wanted to try it. Horchata was also good. Lots of room for big groups. We stopped at the grocery store connected and got some fun stuff including dried peppers.

Always trying something different to taste variations of flavors. As usual the waitress was very friendly and polite. Several people doing door dash but only a few people dining in but more customers came later. Great family restaurant.

Ceviche De Talapia, an appetizer and a meal.

Don't go here for atmosphere, go here for the food. I lived in Ecuador for 14 years and visited Peru 5 times. I discovered and love ceviche among other Latin America treats. I must recommend Las Americas as a truly typical Peruvian neighborhood restaurant with outstanding ceviche that is sure to satisfy anyone familiar with great food served in typical simplistic settings. My wife, from Ecuador, and I visited for the first time last week and we were pleased. The service, the food, and the Peruvian beer were all excellent.

Food was amazing. Ordered the seafood trio on the Peruvian side of the menu. Super impressed with the tasty ceviche. What was even more impressive was the excellent service. We had a very large group and she was super attentive. The ambiance is very low key. A small market as a from and then you enter a glass door in the back that opens into a restaurant seating area. Not upscale at all. But would go back for the taste and service!

excellent value

REAL TACOS in Cleveland!!! Everything we ordered was perfect: 5 carne asada tacos, cilantro/onions only on double corn tortillas with tomatillo salsa verde and another killer medium salsa. Also a full-size chicken quesadilla, chips, house salsa, and 2 cheladas - all for $33.42 with tax!!! This made my day.

This was a very cool find. It's in a grocery storee and the entrance is a bit confusing but worth it. All of the food was hot and fresh. Our server was very good. We enjoyed every entree. If you find yourself nearby checK it out. It was a good experience

Recomendado muy rico , vale la pena viajar cada vez 35 minutos, felicitaciones al chef

Good food and good service. Ordered fajitas and quesadilla. They also have veggie options too.

Causa with shrimp. This is considered an appetizer!

Excellent food with beautiful presentation. It wasn't crowded at all. It's attached to a well stocked grocery.

Great variety of seafood and chicken dishes Peruvian style. Inca Cola was a hit on many tables.

On this visit, the restaurant was warm inside - it felt like there was no air conditioning. But we didn't mind that because we were there for the food. Upon reviewing the extensive menu, we decided to request tostones as an appetizer along with some passionfruit juice. A little while later, the appetizer was delivered. My wife requested pork on it and it came with some amazing sauce. The flavor of the appetizer was amazing. The sauces were very tasty and the pork was delicious. Coupled with the saltiness and crunch of the tostones, it's a winning combination. For dinner, I requested the creole shrimp trifongo rice bowl, my son requested carne frita, my daughter requested casa birria tacos, my wife requested pastelon, and my mom requested a cubano sandwich. As we waited, more people arrived. A little while later, our food was served. We dove in like no one's business. My trifongo rice bowl was delicious. It had amazing rich flavors and I especially liked the creole shrimp flavors coupled with the tasty rice and mashed plantains. Excellent dish! My daughter's casa birria tacos and my son's carne frita were just okay. My mom's cubano sandwich was excellent. The dish that stole the show was my wife's pastelon. Wow, what amazing flavor. It's like Puerto Rican lasagna with a twist. The sweet plantain flavors were awesome. Great meal! We'll be back for more.

This place was actually becoming a regular occurrence for us and where we'd suggest family and friends visit. Saturday Date night we visited after traveling the past few months and we were so disappointed we got up and walked out. What was once a local cantina with great food and drinks is now another restaurant with an identity crisis. Service was good as always but what was a one page menu and a few specials is now a front ad back, beer menu, cocktails menu, and nothing looked good. We went for tacos and margs and left after seeing all the menus and identity crisis. We will not be back

Sadly, we all had complaints of varying levels for each dish. The macaroni and cheese was okay, but had no seasoning at all. The soup du jour of chicken and rice was also okay, but the rice was undercooked. Potato pretzel walleye was also just okay, but way over breaded. The worst dish was the steak skewers, which were recommended by our waiter. I asked for them to be cooked medium rare. Of the 4 pieces divided between two skewers, one piece was medium at best and the other three were well done. If the meat tasted good, I wouldn't complain, but these cuts were so tough, I could barely cut through them with a steak knife. I only took two bites from two pieces and left the rest on my plate. When the waiter checked in, I politely told him about my steak. He said "well that's unusual". He took my plate, walked away and never said anything else. I wasn't looking for a free meal, but an apology would have been nice! No need to go back there.

So many choices but only so much stomach room. The wife and I shared Birria Tacos which is a moist generous portions of chili-braised beef, topped with chihuahua cheese, wrapped in large corn tortillas griddled in consomé broth. OMG. We ordered a side dish of roasted corn and cheese dip. Better known as Queso dip served with tortilla chips. We chose to add a Roasted Corn with cheese for two bucks extra. This all came with a tray of various small sample of sauces from hot , garlic flavor, a pineapple sauce, any many other mouth watering flavors! This Colombian restaurant is quite the adventure.
