So I consider this sort of food as comfort food. We got the jerk chicken meal, with sauce. The spice blend was so flavorful and the rice and peas were hearty and delicious. The pickled warm cabbage goes great with the chicken and rice. I got the wings and Mac and cheese special as well. I didn't care for the wings, too fatty for my liking but my boyfriend liked them. The max and cheese was very cheesy. I should've put some hot sauce on it but it was great. I wanted plantains but the woman working told me they would take ten minutes and I could tell she didn't feel like making them. So I'll get them next time when we both aren't in a rush. Very low quality offering -- Caribbean food like jerk chicken and etc. is known for being very well seasoned maybe even sometimes spicy, this is the first Caribbean restaurant ever went to where the food was bland especially the rice. Ambiance: This place is currently take out only and while they have a sign requiring mask, it's not enforced at all. The owners aren't wearing masks but people were distancing while in line. The place is a two person operation with all the food pre-cooked. The place is painted in Jamaican colors but otherwise pretty sparse in decor. Food: We got the large jerk chicken and oxtails but they seemed to be out of a lot of stuff. They didn't have peas which are supposed to be part of the meals or sides of plantains or beef patties. The meals were basically a styrofoam container packed with 3/4 rice and beans and 1/4 cabbage and carrots topped with a generous portion of your protein on top. The jerk had a small chunk of breast, a neck, and two small thighs and tasted pretty authentic. It seemed dry cooked coming of the serving tray but wasn't too dry or tough. It's is served with their jerk sauce has a hefty dose of allspice, some savory soy, and plenty of building heat from the habanero. It's refreshing to find a place that doesn't tone down their heat for the Midwest palate. The oxtails are a savory reprieve from the jerk chicken and came with maybe 12 bite-sized pieces. The oxtail was not dry at all and the meat easily melts away from the fat and gristle in your mouth like it should. The vegetables are particularly good with this dish as they add some brightness and texture to inherent fattiness of the meal. Overall we really enjoyed our meal here and would gladly come back to try their curry goat. Hopefully they get some plantains because getting Jamaican without them is like getting a burger without fries, it just doesn't feel right. I went to Irie Jamaican Kitchen in Akron and there were no people of color in the kitchen or behind the counter. I asked a customer, "How's the food" his response, "Not that bad." That was not a ringing endorsement so I walked out. I went to Caribbean Delight in Northfield and this was what I was hoping to see in Akron. This AMAZING Caribbean take out spot is absolutely my favorite place to get food before work. All their Food come with a side of rice and cabbage and all their food is absolutely delicious. I'm in love with their jerk chicken and I HAVE to put extra jerk sauce cause I love the spice it adds. I was put on by a friend at work who brought some in for me. Than I just brought some in for a new associate at my job as well. He loved it and is now bringing HIS wife to this family owned(to my knowledge) Caribbean Paradise. I drive past this place every day for work and finally got to check it out after my partner told me he had some people say it was really good. I got a variety of dishes, a couple beef patties, curry goat, jerk chicken, and brown stew chicken so that we could get a good selection. The lady that prepared my dishes was pretty quiet and actually left after boxing me up but the young man who cashed me out was super friendly. I had requested plaintains but he told me they were made to order and could take 15 minutes. So I opted not to get them. The portions were very generous for the price. My bag was super heavy! I enjoyed my beef pattie but that's pretty much where my good experience ended. I've had jerk chicken from a variety of places and this was probably the spiciest I've ever had. They have a handwritten sign in the shop to give you warning. I figured that was for the faint of heart. This jerk chicken is spicy for the sake of being spicy. I couldn't even taste the various ingredients in it because all I could taste (and see) was peppers. The chicken was also pretty dry, which was super disappointing. My partner has an even higher tolerance than I and he said it was too spicy. The curry goat was just ok. It didn't move me one way or the other. My favorite, if you could call it that, was the brown stew chicken. I'd never had it and I liked the flavor in that, but the chicken was still dry. The rice and peas were fine, as was the cabbage. 3 stars for service, price point, and serving size. 2 off for the chicken being offensively spicy and dry. read more

Just had what I consider the best jerk chicken I've had outside of Jamaica. Utterly delicious. The sides were also very very good. Cabbage was cooked perfectly, still a little bit firm to the bite and TONS of flavor from the onion, seasoning and stock. The red beans and rice were also perfectly prepared. And, to top it off, they have a really excellent hot marinade that they'll gladly ladle on top of your selections so that you can enjoy some heat with your choices. The chicken is great ! Along with the jerk sauce. The rice was sticky, and seemed to have been sitting for a while, that was the only downside. But, the rice was still good. I made it my mission to try everything on their menu, and now that I have, I'm still a regular customer. Best jerk in Cleveland; change my mind! Their food is authentic, and they get their spices from Jamaica. Jerk chicken is tender and so flavorful, you'll wonder how they do it. For an added kick, they can add a jerk sauce to kick up the heat, or you can ask for it without if you want all of the flavor without the heat. Curry is hearty and tastes great with the cabbage and rice. Goat and oxtail are so delicious. My very favorite is the Friday special jerk pork with the spicy sauce. They also sell traditional beef pies that, for me, are sometimes an after work treat! I absolutely love them. Did I mention it's a great value? The small chicken dishes start at only $6.
