    Breakfast quesadila

Chelo's is the kind of place that the customers all know the staff name. Its not a big place, and certainly not fancy. But if you are looking for good food, great service and a place you feel like coming back too, time and time again, this is that place. We got the breakfast quesadilla and meat lovers omelet. The portions are always large. The omelet comes with your choice of toast, which we get heavily buttered. You can get a variety of sides and the corned beef hash is pretty good, but today I went with a side of sausage gravy. Everything was great.

This was such an amazing find via Google during my recent trip to Cleveland. Perfect classic diner vibes with amazing service, and even more amazing food. I had the southern skillet and my boyfriend had the Country Boy. Both were amazingly large portions, well seasoned and an all around perfect breakfast to start the day off with. I can't wait to come back to Cleveland and try more dishes off the menu!

A few months ago, my dad brought home an omelet from Chelo's and after tasting it, it was only right that I dine in. Chelo's was busy for breakfast but the servers maneuvered through, taking dine in and takeout orders in a timely fashion. They turned tables over quickly and the food came out way more quickly than I expected with the rush. Even with the quick turnaround, I was not disappointed. The food was hot and extremely fresh. The omelet was perfectly seasoned and loaded with veggies and cheese. I highly recommend upgrading to the loaded hash browns, they were delicious and loaded with onions, peppers, and cheese. The inside of the diner is simple, with decor showing the history of Cleveland as well as the roots of the owner. It's not a huge restaurant but it stays packed for good reason. I will definitely be back again.

Great food. Very good service. Some unusual menu items which is cool. A little slow but worth it if you have the time. I come on the weekends.

Nice first time visit.....friendly hostess to start. Not a huge place , but enough room for diners not to feel cramped. Nice selection of breakfast items to choose from. I ordered the meat lovers omelet and it was very tasty. The cheddar cheese made this magic. A bowl of grits and wheat toast. I'm happy with this visit and will come back again!!

For entrees, we had the signature lasagna that was fantastic and a special from what I remember was short rib and couscous. Everything was very delicious. The only downside coming to this wonderful restaurant is parking. I had to park two streets over and walking on icy and snowy sidewalks was not pleasant.

You won't even be able to stand. As for my other visit, it was on a Friday night. A nice sized crowd, full bar. Sports game on the television. A nice atmosphere for a neighborhood bar. A great touch is the 1 pinball machine in the corner. Older game but it does take up something to do with friends. As with service we were told that the bar is extremely behind by a rude bartender named Meg. You can tell she was overwhelmed and just seemed to be having a rough day. A few minutes later we were told by staff that the kitchen was now closed. Pretty strange as the menu is mainly all bar served fried food or burgers etc. The bartender also announced that they were out of fish as well. I continued to order drinks, they were cold and tasted as advertised. About an hour or so later , the kitchen was then re opened when the bar was less crowded. I order a dozen wings, garlic Parmesan with ranch. The wings were real solid. Nice and crispy and the garlic and parm combo was just enough. The basket of fries we got were average fries. Not crispy, nor salty but atleast they were hot. The prices were about average, no complaints about that. Overall, the bar does not seem to handle stress or large crowds very well. My wings were good, fries were average like I said. My friends attend this bar often and did tell me that this bar is not like this usually. May have been a rough day. I assume I will be back again, I wouldn't pick this place to go to but the location is close enough to the area we hang out. Not so much of any certain type of theme at the bar but I did notice the staff recognize many patrons by name so it will continue to be the neighborhood bar for many. Overall a 6.7 out of 10.

As much as I wanted to love Milky Way, it wasn't for me for various reasons. The cafe is spacious and casual. You order at the counter and seat yourself, which keeps things simple and quick. You can also order at the tablets located by the checkout for self-service. It seemed like a go to location for the Jewish community with a lot of guests dining in and socializing. This community building was great to witness. The cafe has everything - to-go options, bagels, bread (lots of choices), pizza, smoothies, calzones, and more. I included pictures of the menu. I ordered two coffees, chocolate pastry, cheese danish, and Kani salad from the to go fridge. Coffees were self-serve and tasted like some cheap ground coffee. Chocolate pastry and cheese danish looked really tasty. But both were stale, I'd say a few days old. I would really enjoy them if they were fresh, they were really big. Kani bowl reminded me of poke bowl but with imitation crab. The idea was amazing, portion very generous but execution not so much. The rice was not fully cooked, and again the whole thing tasted like it was in the fridge for a while. It had sell by date or 5/7. It's too bad nothing was fresh, this food really had potential. I saw several people takeout pizza so maybe that's a better choice at this cafe. Service was not friendly at all. Not to the guests who seemed new not to those who seemed regulars. When I asked questions about pastries, it was somewhat dismissive. It just wasn't a pleasant interaction. I was disappointed. If you're in the area and looking for a meat-free or kosher option, Milky Way might be a good cafe to checkout. Perhaps stop by for a pizza or earlier in the morning for fresher food.

So I sat in my car and waited a few minutes until I was ready to order the Cordelia pimento double cheeseburger ($8) and the special milkshake, Peach Cobbler ($5 for the small). After about 10 minutes, I received my order, noticing my milkshake was a bit too melty for my liking. I rarely get junk food so I do like everything to be perfect when I do indulge! It was yummy with nice peach chunks mixed in and a graham cracker pie crumble on top. But it wasn't nearly perfect enough to warrant 5 dollars amd probably 500 calories. I ate the whole shake in the car. Once I got home about 30 minutes later, I dug into the Cordelia collaboration burger. This was not worth 8 dollars. Too expensive for basically a double cheeseburger with a couple unique pickles and pimento cheese. The meat on it was great though. A good dinner but it should have been 5 or 6 bucks. Came for the Cordelia/Swenson collab for month of June - highly recommend trying the Swenson Pimento Burger, Amazing value for getting Cordelia's homemade pimento cheese on a Swenson's similar-to-galley-boy-style burger with tartar sauce and kool-aid pickles. It should be juicy, and the perfect balance of savory, cheesy and acidic, but this delivery order seemed lackluster on that. I would say the pimento cheese and saltine crackers are not as worth the value because the pimento cheese cup is so small (like a cup for condiments) and the saltine crackers are literally the same crackers you get for free at the hospital. Definitely worth trying the burger before June is over!

My omelet was so sad, tablespoon of burnt sausage and almost no cheese. Hash browns were rock solid and old brown, as were the fries. Had to ask again for the biscuits that came with my meal but didn't. Did I mention it took 50 minutes from ordering to receive this wonderful feast? Based on the color and density of the food it was sitting under a heat lamp for about 30 of those minutes, almost inedible. Unbelievable.
