I politely brought it to my server's attention, and instead of apologizing or offering to replace it, she responded, "Should I go in back and get a meat thermometer?" That response was so unprofessional that I asked to speak with the manager. The manager came over, acknowledged my concerns, took the grits and sausage, and told me she would replace them. However, I had split one of the sausages with the side of my fork before sending it back. When the food returned, it was obvious they had simply microwaved the same sausage and grits and added more cheese to the grits. It wasn't a replacement at all. I don't argue with restaurants. Once I realized what had happened, I quietly got up and left. I don't believe in forcing my money or my business on anyone. If a restaurant shows me that's the level of service they want to provide, I'll simply spend my money somewhere else. Afterward, I looked at this location's reviews and saw it has only a 2.6-star rating. After today's experience, I understand why. I had hoped my experience was an isolated incident, but it appears I'm far from the only customer who has left disappointed.

He told me he could "help me find the door," got directly in my face, and told us to leave. I was confused because, from my perspective, we had done nothing other than walk around looking for a seat. He then made physical contact with me using his body while forcing us toward the exit. During the incident, a woman named Susan (co owner) also came toward me aggressively enough that another person had to restrain her. What bothered me most was how quickly the situation escalated when we were simply looking for seating. I would have had no problem leaving if someone calmly explained that we needed to leave or that there was an issue, but the hostility and physical confrontation were completely unnecessary. I'm sharing this review because customers should be able to enter an establishment, look for seating, and be treated respectfully. Based on my experience that night, I would not return to Post & Beam.
