Came in hoping for a nice dinner and left disappointed. They didn't have martini glasses, so my cosmopolitan was served in a short glass instead. It also took so long to arrive that by the time I got it, the drink was warm. We were charged $1.50 for "extra sauce." One of those sauces was actually the wrong salad dressing the waitress brought by mistake, and the other was for my fiancé's fries. Charging customers for a server error is not a great look. Hopefully that $1.50 goes toward replacing the missing martini glasses. The food was average at best and nothing worth coming back for. Overall, not a place I'd choose to visit again. read more

I used their website to place a take out order, it was easy to do. You get texts, about your order and mine was ready before the pickup time! I ordered the small Hooley hunk salad, with avocado and Hooley mild sauce. This is a wonderful salad, and no up charge for a hard boiled egg. The portion for the small salad is entree size. Get extra dressing. The Hooley hunks are all chicken breast meat, the Hooley mild was good, sauce level is light. There is a large bar and another larger dining area, big outdoor patio too. read more

This wasn't our first choice. Across the road, we tried to go to BW3. As soon as we walked in, we turned right around and pulled up other options. That's when we decided to go to Hooley House. VERY pleased with the place, bar and dining room options with GIANT TV's on the wall to enjoy any sporting event. My meal was a classic Reuben and it was really tasty, not a lot of sauerkraut but a descent portion of corned beef. My side was loaded fries, fries are interesting as they're a skinny version of potato wedges. Everything is à la carte, so prices looked a bit cheaper 'till you add sides. Overall, a great option and it looks like there's actually people that care to run it properly. read more

Wife and I decided to hit the hooley house after we did topgolf. I know it's just a bar and people go there for bar food but our server was outstanding the food was just great. It wasn't super busy but your standard holy house has about 6,000 TVs and more sports on than you know what to do with. I got my standard Buffalo hooley hunks on a salad and it did not disappoint in any way shape or form. I swear there's probably more meat than lettuce on that thing. My wife is a sucker for a good burger and that's exactly what she got. You couldn't finish it only ate half and I believe if I'm not mistaken it also came with tater tots. Hoolie tots maybe? Order was correct which is half the battle cuz my wife doesn't do onions and the server checked on us just enough times but not too much. You can completely expect that your beer glasses are going to be clean the draft was ice cold I only had one beer cuz I wasn't feeling like having more than one but I think they've got that figured out and got it right. read more

Went for the band Abby Normal. Surprised to learn I knew one of the bandmembers! Of course that meant it was a good time for the rest of the night. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them play along with seeing everyone dancing. Plus, I was in fabulous company! Super attentive server and amazing food. By the way, that was the SMALL salad in the photo. And, word to the wise. The added salmon was $13. Generous serving. Order wisely! read more

First of all, it was freezing in the restaurant. Clue to staff: if your customers don't take their coats off, it might be a tad cold. Our waitress was pleasant. But messed up one order. Never came back to offer refills. I did get a refill on my beverage because I asked for one when she brought the corrected order. I had the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. It was okay. Lots of chicken but not much Mac. And I know that this is a sports bar but does the tvs all have to be blasting. Could you maybe turn down the noise in the restaurant area at least? read more

Waitress was very helpful with answering any questions we had about the menu. Food was outstanding. Ordered way more than we could eat and everything tasted great. Definitely had leftovers. The star is for the food. Slowest service, 10mins to get a server after being sat. 10 mins for soda and water to come. Took so long another server came over to greet us thinking nobody came over. After ordering food the server was nowhere to be found. Constantly had empty cups, or had to ask someone else.. 45-1hr dinner turned into 2 hours of waiting for them to come back. If you can't have a few tables and have good service... yikes.. read more

Wanted to spend a great night with my kid after the hectic pace of Thanksgiving so we went to see a show at The Hooley. Our server is very attentive and nice. The salads were huge. The fries are Irish style pub chips but they were seasoned well. The white garlic pizza didn't come through on the garlic though. They have a great draft selection as well as specialty drinks. For an establishment this big the prices were pretty reasonable for the food. The drinks are a bit pricey. They have a great stage, a huge dance floor, and it's festively decorated for the holidays. I'm definitely going to come back simply for the fact that I can see a grunge show and my kid can come too. read more

Fine, but nothing special. Conveniently located but food was just okay. Service was fine but not great.

We had the Reuben, backed cheeseburger, and the chicken buffalo dip to start. The chicken buffalo dip was very light on the chicken but the flavor was definitely there. The Reuben was on the fatty side but was pretty good. The chips were amazing The buyer was made to order and perfect! read more

We went to dinner at the Hooley House in Brooklyn the Saturday before Father's day, and everything was great! We order takeout from them all the time, and their burgers are absolutely the best in the area in our opinion. The service took a little while, but they had quite a few customers so it made sense and wasn't overly long. Our food was hot and fresh when it arrived, and of course their portions are so generous, I had to take half of mine home. The people there are very friendly, the service is really good, and I especially like that they have a dining area separate from the bar so we can bring our 16-year old son with us, and we're not bringing him to a bar. They also have an outdoor patio with a fireplace and everything - I haven't eaten out there personally, but it looks really nice and we saw that a party of at least 16-18 people were all seated together having a nice time. If you're in the area (or even if you're not), Hooley House is a great place to eat. We'll definitely be back! read more

On our way to Cleveland. Stopped for the night. Hotel across the street. We wanted a cold beer and good food that wasn't fried. Shepherds pie for $11.99 (small). Bartender assured us small was sufficient for us and portion was generous! She was correct! Served Hot! Happy hour domestic beers were a $1 off and Cold! Friendly bartenders! Clean. Reasonable large. Clean bathroom. Not to overly air conditioned either. Attractive inside and out! We'd go back for sure!! read more

Met a couple of friends for a quick bite and a few drinks. The place was not crowded at all, one large table with what looked like a work gathering and maybe 6-8 people at the bar. Our server would usually stop by the table and then disappear. We got served our meals with no silverware and our check was screwed up at the end of the meal....All things I could generally deal with as I know good help is hard to find these days. The worst part of the night was the food poisoning I got from the chicken salad I ate. Two days later and I'm still not feeling great. I have to say this is two times in a row I've visited this restaurant and the service and meals were well below satisfactory. read more

Absolutely great place to take in a Browns game! Great food selection, including lots of Irish favorites like Shepherds Pie. Tons of beer options. Service was fast and friendly. Tons of TV's to watch games on. Really cozy place with a nice outdoor patio complete with fireplace! read more

We were seated but never visited by anyone for nearly 30 minutes before a helpful employee noticed us and took our order. During this time we were treated to loud and not particularly great music by the band playing. The Bavarian pretzel was very dry in places and okay in others, this inconsistency was concerning. Likewise the black bean burger I had was tough around the edges. The pina colada was very watery and tasted off. In all, just about every element of this visit was unsatisfactory in some way. read more

The menu here at Hooley house is extensive and there are a lot of choices for a fairly low price compared to other restaurants; however, the reason for this is because the quality of food is not exactly on par with other restaurants. We ordered an appetizer, sliders, chicken wings, and chicken tenders. The cheeseburgers sliders come with two mini burgers and a side of choice, but the cheeseburger sliders were extremely dry and had barely any condiments inside. We chose a side of pub chips which were good but you can't really mess up the chips. The chicken tenders come with your choice of sauce and we chose honey mustard, but there was so little sauce on the chicken tenders that it tasted like plain fried chicken. The chicken tenders Were cooked well and they weren't dry but the lack of sauce really took away from the meal itself. The chicken wings on the menu were named "jumbo" chicken wings and when they came out I was not disappointed because they were slightly larger than the typical size of chicken wings that you would expect. We ordered a honey garlic sauce for them and they really put enough sauce on our wings for us to enjoy it. It comes with a choice of ranch or blue cheese dip for the wings, but I believe it was supposed to come with celery sticks that were not included or forgotten. The staff at Hooley house are nice and attentive and that is probably why I gave this review a two star instead of a one star review. For the price that you pay, I believe that You are probably better off paying extra to go somewhere where the food is better--I would not come back to eat here even though the prices are lower. A unique thing that I noticed before coming into the restaurant is that they have live music outside on their patio. This might be something that would up the experience a bit more and make it a better experience at Hooley house. read more

Not very busy for a Wednesday evening. Looked at the menu on line at both the food and beverages. Was disappointed when most of the bourbon on-line was not available in the restaurant. Got the bangers and mash. After it arrived, asked for additional gravy as it came out with just a little and it was pretty good and helped the flavor. The onion soup was above average. read more

Hooley house is always consistent and good. Decorated to the Max for Christmas without being over done. Service and food were great!

The greasiest burger! As a vegetarian I was relieved that there was a black bean burger on the menu. The buns were drenched in grease with hard black avocado pieces. Very few onions and nothing else. The black bean patty was ok, but the only saving grace for that burger is the chipotle sauce. Unfortunately they skimped on how much sauce they put. There needed to be more sauce otherwise you're stuck with a dry patty and just chunks of hard black flavorless avocado. Terrible. read more

Awful. The menu looks amazing but does not match the real thing. We ordered two classic Rubens and they came with a quarter of the meat that is shown online. And it was cold. Hooley House is the type of place locals might love but it is not a great place to stop in and watch football. Service: The server was very good. Perhaps and American bar with some americanized Irish food would be the best way to put it. The "chips" in fish and chips were potato chips--the right chips cost extra, but neither the fish or the fries were cooked very well. The boat was okay, the Guinness was a good pour. The canned music wasn't anything here Irish. Server was good. read more

The truth is I am no longer a big Bar goer... those days passed me up when I had my kids. I know plenty of men and women who continue going to bars and that is fine, and I like to do it Sometimes but the majority of my eating and drinking establishments are family based. I hear there have been changes to specials at the Hooley and that is fine, it's not affected me directly. My family enjoys specials they have, my kids enjoy the food, and we come out not feeling like our wallets have been decimated. The service has been great at both locations I have been to, it has been friendly and prompt. Excellent meals and bar foods. Very good wings. read more

Corned beef sandwich at the Irish festival was sad, literally half of the sandwich had no meat. If 0 stars was an option I would pick that.

Came in on a Friday night. Cavs was wrapping up and they had a good crowd, but plenty of room to sit. Never been here before so we stood at the hostess station for a few minutes before someone came over and asked if we had been helped? "No, I'm just standing here to observe the bar" is what I wanted to say, but all they heard was no. Sat in the big room. Lots of TVs, including the Illinois game playing on one of the smaller ones. As the Cavs game ended, Mr. Remote Control drifted by and willingly changed a tv next to my table to the Illinois game. We ordered some appetizers, which seemed to take quite a while to appear. Jess had the garlic parm wings with sweet potato fries. I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes, bit these fries were great! Regarding the wings, however, my daughter said "they're not BW3". Whoa. That's not a compliment. I got the pretzel sticks and cheese. The cheese was the consistency of chocolate milk. Tasty, but snot would stick to the pretzel better than this watered down stuff. The Great Lakes Christmas Ale was good. And the waitress short changed me. There goes another star. read more

This location is near the airport so I've stopped here with people I'm picking up from or dropping off at the airport. Besides being convenient, the atmosphere and the food have been good. The dining room is large and there are loads of TVs . It's been several months since my last visit. I was taking some folks to the airport Friday so we left home an hour earlier so they could get a bite before their flight. The dining room was nearly empty at 4:00 pm and our waitress seemed pleasant but probably new. We ordered beers that took a while to come out but got warm water with a couple of melted ice cubes on top while we waited. One of our party had a gluten allergy. The waitress didn't know how to deal with that. After she walked away, I called over another server who was clearing a nearby table and asked her. She happily went and got a gluten free menu. Another person ordered a Cuban sandwich. When all of the food came out 40 minutes after we arrived, the Cuban sandwich was a Reuben sandwich. The waitress apologized and said that she'd order us a Cuban to go. I went to the men's room before we left and it just smelled bad. Overall the food we got was good. We were there an hour and a quarter and one person had to eat out of a styrofoam box. There seemed to be plenty of workers but they were slow. I doubt I'll be back. read more

This is my second time here and since I am not from the area I never know when I will be back. My first time here I ordered an appetizer that included two sliders some onion rings and some boneless chicken wings. Well the cheeseburger sliders was very tasty, the onion rings were very breaded and not crispy which I am sure some people enjoy it just wasn't my thing. The boneless chicken wings I had done in their bourbon sauce and they were good but maybe a wee overcooked or I may be picky. My next trip I asked what the waitress recommended she suggested a couple of thing but one was their stuffed boxie. I got it with the steak, onions and mushrooms. Well the boxie was unseasoned hash browns 4 small pieces of sirloin steak about 2-3 ounces. Some portabella mushroom slices and some onions. Thankfully I ordered bourbon to go with dinner. Would I come back again, well if in the area for work again I would only because it is walking distance from the hotel and I would like to think I can find something on the menu that I love. read more

I have been coming here since they opened. The last few times has been awful. Decided to give it one more chance. Was sat at a table. Sat and waited 10 minutes no one came. Asked for a server. A server came to the table and said they were closing due to plumbing issues. We could eat if we would hurry since they were closing and we were the last table. Then she said hang in one sec have to take a drink to a table. Never came back. We decided to leave and asked for the manager to talk to her about our concerns. I love this place!! Yeah they have regular bar food like wings and burger but I swear these cooks put some type of love drug in here because I can't stop coming back for more! And this is the one place that serve tator tots!!!! I would definitely recommend anyone to try the loaded carnivore tots!! These tots are served with corned beef and an over easy egg! The menu is accommodating to healthy eaters as well with heart healthy salads that is full of delicious toppings depending on which one you get. And if you have to modify your foods to be grilled or steamed they will do just that!
