New to Parma and this big staple was a disappointment! I met my sister and her husband for a New Year's Eve eve drink and grub. The waitress did not know the prices to the specials, did not know the prices to the alcohol, did not know the seasonal beer, and the inside ambiance was dark, and the old, stale smell of cigarettes was lingering. The food was not good. I ordered the Monday special, which was a meatball sub, and by the way it was not on special. It was still the same price like every other sub sandwich, and it was soggy, and my fries were not crispy. The specialty Christmas shot which was Christmas cookie tasted like milk and Kahlúa. Very disappointed for a nice looking bar on the outside. Waitress never gave her name and did not seem to be interested in our needs. One and done. read more

I'd say this is just about your average bar in terms of ambiance: dark, cozy, Just a bunch of folks lookin' to grab a beer and hagout. Quick service and both the host and our server were very sweet. The food however, is incredible. I'm always a sap for pierogies, but these were absolutely outstanding. If my memory serves me, the sour cream was an extra $.50 which was a bit odd from the usual pierogi place but it was overall amazing. Local bar with a dive feel. Inside is spacious with plenty of seating for any sized party. Grabbed dinner here on a Wednesday night and was impressed with a decent crowd of people there. Everyone was social distancing. The tavern does a great job at making sure each table is following all Covid guidelines. The staff were friendly and the food came to the table in a timely matter. Our waitress mentioned that the pirogies and burgers were the best thing on the menu. For the table we shared pirogies and as my entree I went with the tavern burger. The food was fresh and filling. The beer was cold and refreshing. The only negative thing I have to say about the Parma Tavern is that the inside is dimly lit. More lighting inside would have been better in my opinion. read more

Unfortunately when we parked there was a young female hurling in the parking lot with the rest of her party just standing around, I guess it was her boyfriend with her enough of that, I went with my brother before going to enjoy the Puerto Rican comic Josue "Comedy" Torres @ the Parma Snow Library [hilarious], it was pretty dark as we entered this was our 1st time there, we asked a server "if we seat ourselves?" She said "sure you do" she accompanied us to where we sat gave us our silverware & menus said "our server should be with us shortly", so here comes our server shortly after that took our drink orders, when she came back we were ready for our orders, he ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger & I ordered a regular cheeseburger I understand upcharging for onion rings but for fries it should be just a set price fries they gave us "Ruffle" type potato chips all for $8.95, not sure how much was my brothers, but hey it is what it is. The burger was awesome with char-grill flavor wish they just seasoned it with some salt, pickles were great I love pickle spears, chips was just regular Ruffle type. Went out Friday night after the Fair looking for some good bar food. Definitely made the right choice! The staff was peppy and fun, good music was playing and the atmosphere was great. Long drink list with lots of cheap drink specials. Long list of food. We ordered the appetizer platter and all was really tasty (Buffalo chicken tenders, potato skins and mozzarella sticks). For dinner we ordered 2 burgers, and chicken wrap! Super delicious and the fries were hot and fresh cut! Will be back (hopefully soon :))!! read more

Although a lot of my friends visit Parma Tavern frequently, I don't often make it to that side of town. I finally had an opportunity and stopped by for a quick dinner on a Thursday around 4:30 PM. There was a nice crowd for so early in the evening, which to me, is a sign of loyal customers. Becca was our bartender, she was super nice and friendly. We ordered the cheesy fries as an appetizer and Becca told us their ranch was amazing! IT IS THE WORLDS BEST RANCH DRESSING!! we need a cup of it each to go with the amazing cheesy fries. The cheesy fries aren't just fries in an orange cheesy sauce. They are the good natural cut fries covered in a couple different cheeses all melted on top and real bacon, not the fake bacon bits. They are the real deal! We each got a burger as well. I tried the Black and Blu burger which was fantastic, bacon, Cajun seasoning and blue cheese on a better than average bun! So good! My bf got the Italian burger which he devoured leaving no room for the chips he came with, which is fine since we scarfed down the cheesy fries prior to the burgers. Glad we gave up on dieting prior to the holidays! One of the owners, George, stopped by to see how we liked our food, which was nice as well. This place is incredible! Large facility and during the summer the patio adds even more space. I like that because people aren't on top of you. They always have room. Plenty of TV's with anything relevant constantly streaming. Food is so good!! Wings are elite but why stop there? They do a GREAT job with local favorites like pierogis and chicken paprikas. The staff is down to earth, especially Robin and Tina. I love coming in on Mondays for Trivia and or for any Cleveland game. Not that I care, because I am so rich and attractive, but the prices are really affordable compared to the trend in the region. It's no wonder I keep coming back and back again. Have been here many times! I am racking my brain to find something good about this place. Service is horrible! Probably the worst I've ever seen. Oddly enough it's busy. A real bartender could make a killing, unfortunately there isn't one here. The food isn't great. The deck is nice if you like looking at Broadview Rd traffic. They do have decent bands occasionally and admission is free. So I guess that's a good thing! read more

Honestly, the only reason this place is getting ANY stars is because the bartenders are super nice and quick to serve you drinks. I have no complaints about the service we received from our bartender, Tina. She was awesome! But, we sat by the window looking into the kitchen a few nights ago, and I honestly wanted to throw up. The workers were constantly walking by with food in their mouths, munching and crunching on everything back there. The grill looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a month, and I saw one of the servers actually pick off some pepperoni on someones pizza with her bare hands, then handed it to someone else to serve it. Another larger woman was digging her hands into the chip bucket and grabbing handfuls and eating them right there! I hope she washes her hands after using the bathroom! You'd think that a restaurant where patrons can see where their food is made would actually want to strictly enforce health codes, obviously not. I will NEVER eat here! read more

People are always judging me. If I go to the bathroom the guy in the next stall is judging me. If I go to Parma and blast my Chevrolet through the pot holes people want to tell me I'm a loser. What's wrong with Parma? Really? There's a lot of lovely things there. Local politicians and officers of the law do their thing with aplomb. Sweet, intelligent, beautiful women with kind hearts and generous bosoms offer me, you, all of us their love, affection and baby-making skill. They are not afraid to say that they love me. Isn't that what life is about? The Parma Tavern is yucky. I drank beer there and was awkward and then I ordered chicken fingers or tenders or strips or whatever it was called and they got the out of the bag into the fryer treatment. I spat one on the table reflexively to examine it and it was non-descript. The beer is not fizzy. The mixed drinks are not finished with a whisper like at the Velvet Tango Room. The ginger ale is sour. The restrooms beg for an errant spray (wolf-like and in late-night territorial angst) and the food is not wholesome or toothsome or even bloody and worrisome. You don't have to go here because there are better places to go. read more

I have been here 3 times now. With each visit I hope for something better...and it doesn't happen. Each visit was a in the middle of the afternoon and it wasn't crowded by any means. There was plenty of staff on hand but they opted to hangout by the front door and BS while our drinks sat there empty. The food is decent, typical Parma bar food. The problem is that the food takes forever to come out. 36 minutes for a Burger, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. Really? I live 2 minutes from there but can't justify going back.. read more

I absolutely love Parma Tavern! My family and I have been coming for a few years for wing night, pizza night, and really any excuse to eat here. It's a classic dive bar with awesomely cliché decor. The beer selection is extensive in both on tap and in bottles. The mixed drinks are delicious and crafted perfectly for flavor and alcohol content. Plus, the prices are great! The wings are phenomenal in flavor, size, and temperature! They will cook them well done at your request too. The pizza is pretty good as well with numerous toppings. It comes out piping hot with the cheese melted perfectly. The crust does tend to be a bit chewy with a regular order but again, they can crisp it up at your request! I've tried many of the standard bar selections such as mozzarella sticks, nachos, and potato skin and they are executed well and all came promptly and at the best temperature. The service is wonderful too! Even becoming regulars, the service is fast and courteous. The serving staff will attempt to honor every request and find allergen information as well. They are SUPER accommodating with allergies and intolerances as well which is great for a dive bar. When wrong food is brought out, the wait staff quickly apologized and immediately fixed it. The only reason I ever come to the Parma Tavern is because I work very close by. It comes in handy for work "happy lunches" with a group of co-workers. I won't lie; they do have very tasty pub grub. Their fries are fresh cut and spectacular. They also have a variety of polish and other eastern European traditional dishes like pierogies and sausage varietals. All in all, it isn't a bad joint to grab lunch and a beer. Their corned beef is also very good. Just don't expect fine dining. read more

Once seated, our waitress came over and brought us menus, came back took the drink orders, then again for the food orders. Although I did not order, the food didn't seem appealing in my opinion. Service was beyond slow, it took 15-20 minutes just to process our payment. I know it's busy and that is why I am not giving it 2 stars but nonetheless, payment does not take that long. Our waitress was so very nice and understanding BUT our Fish meals were not good at all today and the fries were like they had been microwaved. There are times when food can be bad everywhere. Worst complaint was the Manager/owner? She was so, so rude like our business didn't matter. Very unprofessional, no respect and even though we were not charged for our food (paid for our drinks) she dropped our bill trays on the table from a high level...might as well slammed them down. I love bar trivia, which is what brought me here. Hosted by the company, Awesome trivia, this place hosts General Trivia on Wednesdays from 8pm-10pm, then I think Movie Trivia on Mondays. Trivia is a big deal on Wednesday nights! I have to call in to make a reservation because this place gets packed! As such, the service can get a little behind at times but when you're having a blast playing trivia time goes by fast. They have a monthly beer (usually some domestic draft like Miller, Bud light or Coors light) where you can indulge in a 22 oz for $3! Every night is some kind of deal for food. On wednesdays, it's a $5 pizza (to specify it's a plain cheese pizza, every topping is like an extra dollar). Pizza preferences will differ for everyone, I myself really liked this pizza. The pizza to crust ratio was perfect, it was not greasy and the size is perhaps medium I would guess and was good for 2 people. This place has it's own parking lot, but the last 2-3 times I'd been there on a Wednesday trivia night, I had to park next door or across the street. This place is on the upper echelon of divey. Going to the Parma Tavern is like going on vacation. Just sit on the patio and close your eyes from the strip mall view across the street...those moving cars sound just like ocean waves, right? The bartenders are Hooters worthy and the grub is cheap and plentiful so you at can at least leave pretty happy. Overall, the Parma Tavern is exactly like you would want/expect of a Tavern in Parma. I have been living very close to the Parma Tavern for over two years and walk there all the time. The wings, pizza, and build your own burgers are top notch and not too pricey. They have a pretty big selection of bottled beer numerous beers on tap, and not just your bud light and coors light and the prices are pretty fair for bar prices. If you go on Friday for Saturday night be prepared for an EXTREMELY LOUD BAND to the point where you can barely talk across the table. But in the summer the patio is awesome and it doesn't matter if there is a band or not. Service used to be pretty awesome and still is at the bar most of the time. Went there not too long ago with a friend. There's a reason they got 4 stars from me. We sat at a table for 15 minutes before being acknowledged by a server that wasn't even ours to begin with, and she told me that our particular server called off that night..that alone would've made anyone want to leave, right? low and behold, she came by and offered exceptional service to us even though she had a party of 19 to attend to. We got our drinks promptly, and we also had an appetizer comped. The food came out hot, and was very good. She came by repeatedly to check in on us, and we never went without. My bill was close to $60 I left her a $25 tip for going above and beyond. read more
