    Berry lemonade

Had a berry lemonade that was delicious. Very reasonable prices too. Probably gets loud in here when busy.

Ice cream bun...what is that? On my visit to papa roti , I discovered this delicacy called ice cream bun from malaysia cuisine. Its a culinary staple in malaysia mostly available as street food too. Also make sure to try a malaysia drink called karak tea. ( more or less like indian tea with condensed milk in it) So paparoti is father of all buns from coffee buns to icecream buns in different flavours. They also serve hot and cold drinks, smoothies, sandwiches and salads. Soup special of a day is available. Matcha latte is my favourite here. Good speed internet , big glass walls and spacious tables with electric plugs close by make it perfect location to work as well.

It was a busy place. I ordered a coffee bun, but I was turned off by a mop and bucket next to my table. Two young guys were running the place, but seemed to lack the critical thinking that dirty mop water in an open area is not inviting. Bun was okay. I ate it fast and left.

I visited Pappa Roti on Robson Street and the one in Yaletown and tried their Karak milk tea. Both were good. This one in Coquitlam has a great interior design. The seating area is spacious with counter top tables and high chairs as well as some regular tables and chairs. The cafe is clean and tidy. There is pay parking on the street and there is a parking lot for the complex behind the building. The customer service was good. A barista would introduce what the cafe was selling in store and she was very friendly. I came to try their Karak milk tea. It was not sweet enough that I had to add come honey to it. I don't like to drink sweet beverages a lot but the sweet flavour in this Karak milk tea was not there yet. The ones I tried in downtown and Yaletown were about right that I didn't have to add extra honey or sugar to the tea. The cup of Karak milk tea was very hot that the cafe didn't have any sleeves. I had to ask a barista to give me some napkins or an extra paper cup to prevent holding onto a hot beverage.

Had a bit of time before dinner, friends and I decided to park ourselves at papparoti to chat and catch up. This coffee shop is clean, well lit and has great wifi! The coffee is so robust and strong - it will make you grow hair where you didn't know it could grow -?and the ice cream bun is really a sin. That's how good it is! Enjoyed the well laid out and laid back atmosphere at this quite serene hideaway.

Papparoti is a franchise that I grew up with in my hometown Malaysia. They are known for their coffee bun, which is essentially a flaky crispy bun with a soft buttery coffee texture on the inside. It is such a delicious treat and I was so happy to see a store open up in Vancouver. As stated above, you must try the papparoti bun at this store. Whether it is plain or with their other cute toppings, they are all super good. They are fairly expensive in my opinion, but it's a cool thing to try! I would recommend trying the classic bun with any of their ice cream combos. However, I did try their ice cream sandwich recently and wasn't the biggest fan of it (this is the picture I posted). The ingredients separately are great, but when the bun is holding the ice cream on the inside, it made the bun itself soggy quicker, which loses the deliciousness of the bun. I like them separated, which they normally do anyway. Love this place and will definitely be back for more!

Papparoti's bun are warm, savoury and buttery. A bite of pillow-y softness with a touch of luxury. My favourite is the original, but if I feel a little extra that day, my go-to is the Crazy for Kaya which is a coconut jam with a dollop of honey. (Tip: They taste just as a good the next day at home, just pop it in the oven.) I've also recently tried the ice cream sandwiches, which in theory sounds delicious, but I'm not completely sold at the price range ($6ish plus additional $ for additional toppings). They were a little lackluster in presentation and I had to eat fast before it became a soft gooey pile of dough. Price wise, it's a little steep, but it's what you'll expect for a cafe that specializes in trendy buns. The Coquitlam location is bright, modern and airy. It's also seems to be a central hub for students studying with their laptops for hours, which can limit seating depending on the time of the day. Overall, definitely worth a visit and a nice foodie addition to the neighborhood.

In Asia these coffee buns are very popular - soft, light, airy yet with a buttery texture and filled with different fillings. It complements coffee very well, also tried their butter croissant which was decent but not great. They seem to bake all their goods in house and use JJ Bean coffee, can't go wrong with that. The Pinetree location is clean and nicely decorated, if not a bit on the minimalist side. Be lovely if they added a fireplace as a focal point and some comfy chairs.

This is a very cute little cafe... but not so little. Hahaha it is very roomy inside. Very nice place to come and have a small meeting. We came here to have a team meeting. Coffee and tea is good and food is available if you want to eat. There is wifi available as well. I would definitely come back here. It is a very nice atmosphere. I would recommend this place for small sit and chat meetings.

Added this place to my bookmarks. I pass it all the time driving, but this time, I stopped in with my daughter. These Korean Coffee Bun places are getting more and more common. And it's for good reason...they're great! Pappa Roti is exceptional. The selection of coffee and warm, artistic, and tasty desserts rivals typical coffee houses ala Starbucks. The coffee bun with strawberries and whipping cream is a favorite. Coffee is good too! Service was fast, friendly, and with smiles. They have a fully stocked coffee finishing station and lemon infused water. This place is a must do.

This place never dissapoints my taste buds. Staff is always wonderful and friendly. The place has always been clean and tidy. It is very close to work and transit, which is a bonus for me. Overall, I am always satisfied with coming here, whether for dine-in or take-out.

I tried two sandwiches: the Haida Hot, rated 4/5 and priced at $17.99, and the Haida Royal, rated 3/5 at $21.99. I also ordered a small pizza, the Haida Pizza, which was rated 3/5 and costs $16.99. Both sandwiches were good; the bread was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. They were a decent size and made neatly, the addition of hickory stick chips inside the sandwiches is a interesting touch. The pizza was okay, but for its small size, it would be best suited for a child to eat on their own. The size reminded me of the pizza that McDonald's used to offer, and at $17, I found it a bit steep. Overall, the service was good. The staff recommended the most popular items, which was helpful since it was my first visit to Haida. However, I do think the prices are a bit high for what you get.

A Lot of attention and care was put into the design of the place and it shows; neon lights and signs as well as the design of the wall art and a large padded booth in the corner that could comfortably seat a party of 6-8 hungry patrons. And, best of all the management make sure that the tables, floor and bathroom are sparkling clean. We order two of their specialty sandwiches... The Haida Hot and The Meat Lovers and washed them down with Delster (Non-Alcoholic Beer from Iran. The food was simple but good hearty and filling... The drinks were light and refreshing. We were seated right away. We ordered a pistachio latte, apple crisp macchiato and Turkish coffee. We asked for the first two drinks to go and Turkish coffee in house. Unfortunately, our barista made all the drinks to go. We did not get to enjoy the Turkish coffee in a nicer presentation. Also, we kind of expected a sugary treat to accompany the Turkish coffee and there was nothing. Maybe because I am used to other cafes just automatically offering a Turkish delight or something? There was a cup of water to wash down the bitter coffee. Overall, I think their food is probably a better option than their drinks. My pistachio latte was alright. I ordered a Roast Beef Sandwich with jalepenos that was made right before my eyes. The lady grilled my meat and bread, and the entire sandwich was served hot. The amount of meat and cheese was fairly generous. It tasted very good. I also ordered a cinnamon bun that was refridgerated, which implied that it might not have been freshly made that day. I ate it cold, and in retrospect, I should have reheated it in a microwave. Reheating it would've made it softer, but the limited amount of icing and cinnamon would still have been demerits. The sandwich was good, the service was good and I will come back again. But, next time, I'll probably stay clear of the refridgerated pastries. Interestingly, this place also sells a variety of items you'd more likely find at a dollar store. So, if you want hunting knives or flashlights to go with your sandwich, Dik's is the place to go.
