Chicken or the Egg Breakfast sandwich
    Aalia A.

That sandwich was one of the best i've ever had at a breakfast place or any place for that matter. The honey added so well with it too it was just so bomb. The place itself is a little small but it was really cute inside and the servers were on it.

    Near the seating area.

I can see why the business hasn't quite claimed their business in Yelp; a few of these reviews leave a lot to be desired. However, I approve of some of the reviews as they do a nice job of describing the vibe. PAPO! I just wanted to type/yell that word because it feels fun to me! The cafe's name is in reference to both of his grandfathers, just an fyi. Okay, so Papo's (even though I'm not using all caps, I'm still shouting it) is a locally owned cafe. They thought of all the things by including a drive-thru, plenty of seating inside, a party space you can rent out, etc. It goes head-to-head with other corporate competitors that shall not receive free advertising from moi. I really like their setup, you have to walk towards the back of the space to put in your order at the counter. It reminds me of eating at a posh children's museum or aquarium. A lot of variety, many healthy choices, and some sweets here and there. It's designed to guide you through choosing a drink, grabbing a side, ordering food and coffee, then grabbing a seat while its being prepared. The food is made in-house, and it shows. I ordered an Açaí bowl and tried a donut. Delicious! My daughter loved her avocado toast+egg+balsamic glaze. My husband ate his food so quickly, I'm not even sure what he had! All that to say, it's very good and it's quite small. I was a little surprised, as the Açaí bowl was $10.99 and the same size I would give to a child. So, be ready for that and order more so you don't have to go up twice. The design is alright, it seems to be more of a minimal aesthetic. I took a picture of the buffet area near the seating as an example. It looks like there should be more there, not sure what but I'm guessing it too was affected by the pandemic. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful that the trend of the early 2000's is a faded memory. No, it's not cool to put street signs, sarcastic signs, clever signs, skis, fishing poles, and other tchotchkes on the wall. I digress. Papo's is nice, the food is quality, and I would recommend checking them out. Be sure to grab a donut with fruit loops on it before heading out! That alone is worth the trip.

    Chorizo Egg Bowl

One of the more upscale cafe's in the area; Starbuck's meets modern bistro ambience. All of our food came out super fast which also told me the bowls are pre-made and then warmed - not necessarily a negative just an observation. My chorizo bowl was good but could have been better. The cookies and crumb cake though...out of this world amazing. If you don't want the "rundown" style of cafe/diner then this would be a great place to experience, however you also get what you pay for...not the cheapest breakfast!

Just tried out this cafe for breakfast! How did I not know about this place before! It's so cute, has multiple areas to sit and enjoy food, work/have coffee. I ordered the avocado toast, and that's so cali bagel! Loved both of them. The bagel had really good amount of Turkey in it that I was full from half the bagel. Coffeee was delicious also! Nice spot, will deff be going again for to work/coffee!

    Nashville Chicken Sandwich

I don't know who Papo is or why he is a all about tasty food but frankly, I don't give a damn--- GREAT NASHVILLE CHICKEN SANDWICH. Little cole slaw and spice plus crisp pickle on a pretzel bun? Yeah bro feed me that all day. Got a hot cup of coffee to go with it. Great stuff. Strong but flavorful not weird- just rich, tasty coffee. Now that I've vaporized my food will describe the decor- it's rustic modern farmhouse plunked in a strip mall. They went the extra mile with the distressed paint look and cast iron light fixtures- and ya gotta appreciate it. It's a good place to meet friends or if you don't have any, like me, write your Yelp Review and catch up on your Socials. Thanks, For the leveled up food, Papo.

Bloody Mary, Stella, blackberry unsweetened tea

All sandwiches were very tasty lots of flavor. Mac & cheese was phenomenal. Pasta salad didn't taste like store-bought had really good flavor. Ordered the bloody Mary bar. Once I tasted the Bloody Mary I decided not to add anything because it was fantastic the way it was. Red velvet cookie was not bad. Pecan bar had a nice flavor with a unique texture. The cupcake was AMAZING! Nice and moist with perfect icing. I spent a little more then I wanted to initially, however, we ordered a bunch of different things to try. We enjoyed everything. Employees were extremely helpful in suggesting items and patient. We will be back for sure. I can't wait to try other items.

    Salmon Lox - definitely a shareable-sized portion.

We just found this little gem of a breakfast place!! Bummed we didn't know about it sooner, everything was delicious! Loved the avocado toast, chicken or the egg sandwich & the salmon lox. Definitely recommend you give this place a try!! We will be back soon - want to try the cinnamon rolls (only served on Sat/Sun)

    BLTA Sandwich
    Lindsay M.

New favorite lunch spot! Nice atmosphere, the temperature inside was comfortable. Friendly staff. I have tried the BLTA and The Cali (my favorite). Made with very fresh ingredients. Also they have massive cinnamon rolls and a really nice brunch menu. Not a lot of places in Springfield to find good brunch. Give them a try!

Been here 3 times now. Absolutely love the decor! Coffee is pretty good. Food is mediocre at best.
