I first discovered Paper Source through a blog that listed websites for invitation supplies. I was going to order one of their DIY kits online until I realized they had locations in SoCal! I felt like I was in paper craft heaven when I entered the store! I found supplies to make custom invitations from scratch, exactly the way I wanted. If you like paper craft and you're tired of shopping at your mom's dated craft store (e.g. JoAnn fabrics, Michael's), this is the place for you. It carries hip, cool, beautiful, and sophisticated paper supplies. Although it adds up quickly, I found their prices to be surprisingly reasonable. The Pasadena store is 1-star better than the Beverly Hills store. I've received incorrect information on two of of their products at the Beverly Hills store which the Pasadena store helped me to correct. I felt the Pasadena store staff was friendlier and better informed about their products and paper craft in general (e.g. they gave me great suggestions and turned me on to some cool new products!). read more

Very high end paper store. I love their letterpress cards, but they are very very pricey. I love their paper selection in the back for DIY projects. You will definitely be spending a pretty penny here. They have all sorts of colors and sizes. They're all international sizes, so make sure you have a printer that will support A-sizes. I bought hundreds dollars worth of blank paper and envelops, but I figured it'd be cheaper to print on letter size paper and cut it down to the A-size. I love paper, so I am slightly biased when it comes to Paper Source, but you must be evil if you don't like Paper Source. That being said, this location has one of the friendliest staff in the Los Angeles area. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable about... You know crafting stuff. This store's stamp selection seem a little lacking, but I can't really complain. At most, that is like a quarter star deduction so the five-star rating remains. Paper Source - Loved this glitter box for my bridesmaids! - Cards & Stationery Near Me - Pasadena, California

I go to this Paper Source a few times a year for their gift wrapping service and to stock up on their holiday card sale at the end of each year. I recently dropped by to get my spouses bday gift wrapped. We couldn't get the gifts to fit in one box so I agreed to have them split and wrapped into two and was told the wrapping service would be $10 for each box. I selected the paper and ribbon, paid, and told the staff I'd be back in two days for the gifts. Next day I get a call from a staff member that left me a voicemail telling me I wasn't charged for the wrapping service and that I would have to pay the $20 when I picked up the gifts. Called back and spoke with her and she told me again it was going to be $20 extra. Fine, I figured Jackie ( the associate that was helping me) was flustered because it was a busy afternoon when I was there and she forgot. I arrived today and was given a completely different pricing and told each box to wrap was $20 and that I was being charged for extra ribbon because they didn't have enough to wrap the gifts....WTF! This wasn't what was told to me on the phone. I spoke with the store manager and her excuse was that the associate I spoke with on the phone "knows the pricing and that it was have been a miscommunication"....in a condescending voice. I was livid! I live near Old Towne Pasadena and always liked walking into this Paper Source, even if I didn't really need anything. NEVER AGAIN! You've lost a loyal customer. read more

Beautiful selection and choices, but terrible customer service. Tried getting custom business cards made - over a month later, the order still wasn't even placed (!) Unreliable service by email - I advise to only communicate regarding your order either in-person (best) or give the store a ring... For the price you pay here, it should include at least a level of customer service that says "we want your business". I will say the staff members I interacted with were quite nice, just never got the job done so had to cancel my order and go somewhere else. read more

paper source is a great place to come...............................................to take some ideas home and order your stuff with an online vendor. who can afford this stuff....really? it's just paper! i understand the convenience of it all and everything, but after seeing how much cheaper it is online, i'd rather buy my paper online. they obviously have much more than just paper, like kits, tools, accessories, etc., to make your own invitations, scrapbooks, etc. but they also have snooty employees. that just does it for me. i hate snooty employees. i'm sorry i'm not crafty but that doesn't make you better than me. read more

Meh. For the premium you pay for the beautiful paper goods here, service could really use a face lift. The people working there were mediocre at attending to customers and all (there were 3 the day I went) had lukewarm attitudes. Their coupon policy is odd (wasn't able to use mine even though it was legit). Too bad they're the only paper source in the area! Maybe I'll try Costa Mesa next time mehhhhh. Oh yeah. Great store for scrapbooking, card making and gift wrapping. Tons of varieties which made me excited! All the colors and sizes possible for card making, including envelopes. Lots of specialty paper for wrapping or add a unique one of a kind touch to cards. Section is great, but it is pricey but there is a sale section, which I always head to. Every time I walk into this store, I am completely overwhelmed and wonder how in the world I can keep myself from splurging! I can seriously be in the store for hours and be in paper heaven. One downside is some of the staff here. I've gone in multiple times and haven't been noticed or greeted, even when there are barely any customers in the store. As an ad hoc calligrapher, I love that this place has constant stock of the paper goods I need. The employees are always so nice and helpful. This is the one stop shop for all of your paper needs. I never really thought I would ever have any "paper needs", but low and behold I found myself in the Paper Source one day after many stops at other stores. I was in search of a very specific type of envelope that only the Paper Source appears to carry. The greatest thing about my trip to the store was the staff. Lets face it, retail staff can often be, well, less than enthusiatic. I know when I managed a music/video store I couldn't care less if a customer wasn't able to fully realize the range of acoustical layers on his favorite CD. In fact, on more than one occassion I recall offering alternative uses and storage places for customer's CD's! But back to the Paper Source, the staff appeared genuinely interested in helping me find what I needed. Like most things in life, you get what you pay for and this store isn't a great bargain. Where you will save here is the time and gas it will take you to go to other stores whereas Paper Source has it all under one roof. read more

I like how they have a lot of different suggestions and little displays,that just make you want to go be crafty and create something! I love this store. The wrapping paper is just beautiful and unique. Paper Source can accommodate all budgets and sizes. This Christmas I dropped off two iPhones that were surprise gifts for my girls and asked them to wrap them up from Santa in a whimsical style - the paper was a printed brown parchment paper type with a gorgeous double sided red satin ribbon. They also placed an old fashioned little stocking as a topper with old fashioned Caravelli gift notes from Santa! My girls cried when they found them hidden along the side of our Christmas tree and read the note from Santa. Well worth every penny (they cried of joy even more when they Opened the gifts but that's another story). Thank you Paper Source! read more

This store is LOVE! Very reminiscent of my favorite arts and crafts store close by where I go to college and the price is cheaper than that store as well! I'm an absolute fan of vintage style wrapping paper and this store has it all. I came here looking for twine and went home with a lot of other things AND of course, twine. What I love most about this store is that the same map posters Urban Outfitters sell for $24, you can get it here for less than $4. THE. EXACT. POSTER. They also have a wide selection of minimalistic cards for any occasion. And if you're looking for card stock paper, brace yourself and let your jaw drop in awe when you see the wall of color in the back. It has every color you can dream of! When they say Paper Source they mean it. They have everything from stationary and envelopes, to labels and notepads. What really caught my attention though was their decorative paper, which you can use for wrapping gifts, art projects, or in my case, backing for your home bar. The Japanese print I picked was such thick stock, that it made great wallpaper! They also have designs from Nepal, India, and other European countries. A good online store, too! read more

everything's a bit on the pricy side, but you pay for quality, right? they're got a great selection of papers, stationary, and other paper crafting embellishments. i got some rubber stamps that were on sal, a cardboard box to alter/embellish, and a t-shirt with their awesome wasp logo. the decorations and displays were all prettily set up for the seaon (it's spring / Easter time now)! it's always fun to stop by here when i'm in the area, even if i'm not looking for anything in particular. like i said, it's a bit expensive, but i think it's worth it! read more

This store is so cute. They have fun dolls, calendars, cards, toys, and teas. It's a great gift shop. I always find the most unique cards here. It's on the pricier side at about $3-$6 per card, but it's worth it. You won't find them at the Hallmark store, that's for sure. I recently purchased my special holiday cards from here. They have a great selection. And I've only purchased a few single sheets of wrapping paper from here, but I would gladly purchase any of their wrapping papers. They are so thick and one of a kind. I've purchased sheets of the gold glitter paper and used it as a table runner for a party. Your creativity grows in this store. read more

Oh how I wish there was a Paper Source in Pittsburgh. Any paper crafter would be in heaven if they set foot in this store! Quite a selection of lovely papers, paper products (i.e. cards, journals) and paper crafting supplies (i.e. rubber stamps, gel pens, embellishments, stickers)! Some kits, books and other things too.
