Spring rolls with beef, chicken and shrimp
    Christina F.

It was fantastic! Loved that I could build my own rolls and try most of the proteins. My favorite was the beef. The staff were nice and efficient. Everything inside was clean and neat. Liked the peanut sauce. Will be back!

Food always tastes fresh , fresh spring are always the best in this hot weather, service is nice and courteous, I've come a few times here and it's always consistent, you have your selections of items that you want in your rolls , they also have banh sandwiches as well as bowls the weekends can be hard to find parking I'd recommend going the weekday, there's seating inside as well as outdoor.

I got to try Paper Rice for the first time this week. Immediately, I was greeted by their friendly staff. I was hesitant about the 3 rolls not being enough. To my surprise, I did indeed feel full and even shared my 3rd roll. I chose the chicken and beef option. I love both, but beef was my favorite. The food was good and it tasted so fresh. They keep the place clean and the service was fast. There's plenty of setting at Rodeo. I will be returning in the near future.

I like how the beef bahn mi sandwich is a bit on the sweet side, but the second time I tried it, it was a little saltier. Nonetheless, this is my new favorite sandwich spot! A local acquaintance brought me here, and always gets extra mayo on it...which is good, but it's a little too saucy for me. I think the ratio of the fillings is super proportionate, and the packaging is so cute. I've kept the sticker, and think their concept is really simple and clean. It definitely beats Lee's Sandwiches or Banh Mi Che Cali (even though that's one of my all-time favorites), when it comes to quality and atmosphere.

Delicious fresh custom spring rolls! This place is like the chipotle of spring rolls where you can choose what you want inside and they quickly make it in front of you assembly line style. Compared to other similar dishes, price is a tad high at 3 for $14.75 but for the quality and being able to customize a bit more it's still acceptable. Grilled beef was nice and had a char flavor and the shrimp crispy roll inside was a fan favorite! Some folks in our group also tried the garlic shrimp and said it was fresh and plump. Loved the house dipping sauce; it's a flavor explosion and the perfect kick from the spices. We also tried the peanut sauce and citrus sauce and both were also super flavorful depending on your mood. Since we ordered 3 sets we noticed some slight inconsistency in how many toppings they put on since it's just them eyeballing. One had two little mints and like 5 bean sprouts but didn't want to be difficult so just let it be. The employees were ok but we felt when we first entered they almost looked annoyed that customers came in to order as it was empty inside. Was not a top customer service experience but I'm more of a food taste person so not that big of a deal especially considering they looked like high school age. I'll still likely have this place in my lunch rotations!

love getting spring rolls here. it's super healthy and you can customize literally everything that goes into it. i love the tofu here, which is surprising as i'm a meat eater. the meat is good too, but i love how light and healthy the tofu is, well seasoned and cooked. the little crisp eggroll inside gives an amazing crunch. like a little salad roll. always roll thru here with my coworkers and we love to sit outside on the beautiful patio. such a vibe!!!

Wow this place is amazing. It's located inside rodeo 72. The service there is great. They're very friendly and helped me through the ordering process. I tried the beef and chicken spring rolls and they were delicious. I would definitely recommend. The only downside is I do think it is a little on the pricey side but it is worth it for sure.

The concept of building your own spring rolls is great. I will say, they are a little stingy with the filling but the taste is great. I tried the pork, beef, and chicken. The meat was perfectly flavored but the beef was my favorite. The employees are all really nice and the line goes by pretty quickly. Will definitely try again.

    Pork belly, chicken, and shrimp

While out in the Whittier area with a buddy, we decided to finally check out Rodeo 72, the new food hall that's been buzzing all over Instagram. The first spot that grabbed my attention? Paper Rice. And let me tell you--this place is not just a clever name. It's a full-on flavor experience. I tried three rolls: chicken, shrimp, and pork belly. Each one was packed fresh, rolled tight, and stacked with balanced flavor. The ingredients tasted crisp and clean, and the texture was spot on--especially the pork belly, which was next-level. But the real MVP? That spicy sauce. It's bold, tangy, and just the right kind of heat. Not "send help" spicy, but the kind that wakes up your entire palate and makes you question how spring rolls ever existed without it. Customer service was on point--friendly, quick, and helpful. The overall vibe of Rodeo 72 was upbeat but not overcrowded, which made for a chill eating experience with just enough energy. Paper Rice honestly feels like Chipotle but for spring rolls--custom, fast, and way too easy to become obsessed with. Can't wait to go back and mix up some new combos. This spot is a must if you're in the area!

I was so excited when I heard paper rice was opening in Whittier! I love their spring rolls so much but Pasadena was a little far for me. Their spring rolls and sauces are chefs kiss and tastes very authentic. I also LOVE their xoi chien (sticky rice patty) that I cannot find anywhere else. SO crispy and the flavor is yum! It's filled with pork, shrimp and mushrooms, a must try! For dessert I got their Vietnamese coffee and Pandan mochi Bundt cake. The coffee was strong, just how I like my Vietnamese coffee. The Pandan cake was soft, chewy with just the right amount of sweetness, SO GOOD. Their staff were friendly and efficient. There's always a good vibe One of my favorite places to eat!

I ordered the vegetarian spring rolls with tofu and they were amazing! The largest spring rolls I've ever had. Fresh ingredients, large pieces of tofu, and they add a crispy stick that ties everything together for the perfect bite. The server asked me if I was vegan since I ordered tofu and was kind to let me know which sauces are vegan/vegetarian friendly. I appreciated this so much! Worth the long line and wait. The portion is enough for two meals for me.

The noodles had the perfect soft texture and soaked up so much flavor from the broth. The broth itself was so delicious with many complex flavors, yet still was light and fresh. I had ordered the Pho Anvi, and the meat was tender and tasty. I wish there was a little more meat though for the price. I had also ordered the shrimp spring rolls which were also very good. All the ingredients were super fresh. The service was amazing. I was greeted immediately upon entering and sat right away. The food came out fast and the servers refilled waters constantly. I couldn't ask for anything more from the servers! I will definitely be returning if I am in the area again.

The decor here is very cute. It feels like I'm in Vietnam! I'd definitely come back for their Thai Iced Tea.

I was curious about Kei Concepts and their empire of polished restaurants around SoCal, and my first entry is here, at SUP Noodle Bar. I was also intrigued by the claims of one of LA's best places for pho. Unlimited pho refill is certainly convincing by itself. Luckily, I was visiting LA right when they started a beef belly pho lunch special, which made our meals such a fantastic value! - Golden "Bao" (one bao) Literally a steamed pork bun that's been fried, so it's crispy on the outside. It was interesting, and the fried aspect made the bread part more doughy opposed to pillowy. The inside was a typical minced pork meatball, a little ginger forward. I'm not too fond of steamed buns or meatballs, so not created with my taste in mind, but it's certainly unique. - Pho Beef Belly The broth is a little extra salty, sweet, and sour than I prefer. It's also more mellow yellow instead of a clear brown so I am missing beefiness. It could maybe could use some additional earthy spices and more savory beef flavor, though I respect that it's flavorful in some aspect. The beef belly basically comes off as hot pot beef slices, which are always welcome in my mouth. I found it interesting how we were asked whether onions were okay to include in the bowl when ordering. The amount of fresh green onions and cilantro atop the noodles were perfect. If I came here again, I'd try some other side dishes and get my pho shaken style, as that seemed to be popular. While I don't think the broth compares to my favorites in NorCal, I really like the refill availability and fusion sides. Considering they look a little extra fancy and modernized over a traditional pho place, the prices are still pretty good. Work on that beef flavor!

The pho has a clean, flavorful broth that always hits the spot, especially when you want something comforting without feeling too heavy. Their spring rolls are also really good... fresh, crispy, and always made well. Nothing overly fancy, just solid Vietnamese food done consistently right. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service can be a little slow at times, especially during busier hours. But overall, the staff is friendly and the food is worth the wait. It's still a great casual spot when you want dependable Vietnamese food that won't break the bank.

Every single ingredient tasted incredibly fresh and high quality. When the ingredients are this good, there's really no need to say much about the flavor -- it speaks for itself. From the onions, lemons, and bean sprouts to every garnish on the plate, everything was perfectly clean and fresh, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The pho broth was especially impressive -- light, clean, and not greasy at all, making it very easy and comfortable to eat. You can truly taste the care put into it. The spring rolls were also outstanding. Fresh, light, and perfectly balanced in flavor -- I would give them top marks without hesitation. I often go to a well-known pho restaurant in La Mirada, but honestly, I would rate this place even higher. Definitely coming back again! ### One more thing I really appreciated -- all of the bowls and cups were glass, which made me feel so much better. Some restaurants serve hot water in plastic cups and use dishes that look worn or not very clean, but this place was completely different. Everything felt clean, well-maintained, and high quality. It really made the entire dining experience feel more trustworthy and comfortable.
