Mark Blackmore blew us out of the forest from the very beginning (especially me, a through-and-through city girl!). We initially came in just to look at what tractors were available. What happened next had Mike and I biting the bullet and buying a new tractor. Mark went step-by-step (as if we had bought the tractor) on all of the features the tractor had and explained how to operate it; how these features would fit our needs on our 1 1/2 acre property. He gave us the pros and cons of the different accessories available; but, he also told us that once we bought the tractor, use it for a year before we decide to buy any accessories. Mark also told us not to buy the bigger-sized tractor because we didn't need it. There's no BS with him. Not once did we feel pressured to buy whether it was used or new. He's not really a salesman, but more of a teacher, a very knowledgeable one at that, and that's the best kind of salesman you could hope for! And this is absolutely why you need to do business with Mark!! After all was said and done, Mike and I left with so much information and no pressure from Mark to buy that day. We came back a month later and bought a brand-new Yanmar tractor. Thank you Mark for teaching us the ways of the tractor!! p.s. Mark went one step further! We called Mark in December to tell him that we were having a hard time finding tire chains for our tractor. He tracked down the only set of chains available for our tire size and had them hold it for us and it was located right there in Redding.

He went absolutely above and beyond what was expected. Not only was he able to source and get the correct 8-foot Hasegawa platform ladder in record time, but he also gave me a generous discount to make up for my trouble and travel time. As a former retailer myself, I can say without a doubt that this is exactly how you turn a frustrated customer into a customer for life. Genuine accountability and top-tier customer service. The property is a treat to drive through the old oaks and Autumn light. As a farmers daughter, I love seeing the rows of farm equipment. The Nash Ranch (NR) is Shasta County's "original" Pumpkin Patch (PP) since 1991. NR is a real working farm that actually grows its own pumpkins, as well as a host of other things (i.e., alfalfa, oats, barley, and bird seed millet). Family farms are hard to hang onto...the costs roll in all year without anything coming in ie water, labor, seed, taxes. And then there is a summer with 119 degree summer days with weeks of triple digits. Pumpkin production is lowered. Despite hardships, Nash Family makes the Ranch work, while still sharing generously with the community.
