I'm extremely disappointed with theses guys. Their website showed an auger for $85/ 3hrs. What they don't say is the bit is additional, along with state environmental fees and assorted taxes, with the actual cost being $133. It's deceitful and just bad business. I'll never go back. read more

Rented a post hole auger attachment from redding location. Was great tool until I got to second hole and it broke off at connection point between bit and power head. It's either a break away part or a wear n tear issue. This unit looked very new. If it is neither of those then bobcat has a serious problem with their augers. Anyhow I immediately take it in and I am met with barely resembling customer service by the first guy following very nice guy then to be followed by extremely rude bobcat parts guy to then nice rental guy store manager back to first barely tolerable customer service guy. They charged me $760 bucks for the part that is obviously a break part so it doesn't damage the main power head. This company will never see another dollar of my extremely hard earned money. I have reached out to the owner and awaiting a response. I may change my opinion if some good Ole fashion customer service shows up. Otherwise for now this business has forgotten how to treat their customers when an issue arrises. All I kept hearing was its their policy to charge. I hope they send that part to bobcat to looked at. We did nothing wrong to break that part. I provided pictures of soil I was in and there is absolutely no sign of abuse in the broken part or the unit itself. It worked great for the 5 minutes I used it until I pulled it out of hole to spin off dirt. The real damage came when I returned to the rental office for the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will not purchase any equipment with the bobcat logo nor will I rent a piece of equipment from rental guys ever ever ever again. I hope to see a better equipment rental outfit come into our area and show these guys how to go out of business. Worst experience ever. completely screwed our family over and we are good people that own a couple companies here in town. manager mad it clear he doesn't care about the little people. multiple employees told us things that apparently werent facts and even though we can tell them who said it, he didn't care. Got charged 3 times what we had thought and were promisEd they would call us first and didn't. Acted like it was no big deal. Then tried to tell me I couldn't have it for a few more days when I was charged for a week. put me on hold a d told me I guess you can come back and get it. I WOULD T HAVE RETURNED IT if I knew I was being charged a week now I have to get another trailer a d come back because you forgot to call. Liter will NEVER rent here again and will make it clear they are not a good company. Sad to read some of these review and think what the owner would think if he knew. read more

So I came to this business to rent a concrete buggy. I called the day before to see if if I needed to reserve there buggy because they only have 1 and I was told no it's first come first serve. I show up at 6am ( an hr before they open ) to make sure I'm the first one there and can get it. Only to walk in at 7am and have the front desk person tell me "oh sorry it's reserved". I said "what? I was told you can't reserve it." And the guy says "wel yeah you can't, the owners buddy needed to use it so we reserved it for him." So that's how my morning went at this place. A few weeks ago I rented the 50ft boom trailer to take down a big oak tree that was right next to my house. I chopped it down piece by piece it worked well. Not only were all of the other rental companies booked out for a few weeks for the boom lifts but Rental guys were over $50 cheaper per day! Great yard service and flexible as well, I had forgot to bring my copy of my homeowners policy and they didnt make me go home and get it. We had a great experience with Rental Guys! Not only were they cheaper than the other rental companies in town but they were so easy to work with. We rented a skid steer to do some digging in our backyard but found out early on that I was sinking in the soft dirt, so we called rental guys and they said no problem, gave us a "rain day" and sent us out another earth mover that got the job done! They were so accommodating and very helpful! We will definitely be returning customers! read more

I will not! rent from these guys again! They dropped the bobcat off 2 hours after the rental start time, shorting me 2 hours of the 24 hour rental period. They gave me equipment with faulty tires that kept leaking between the tire and rim and coming off the rim. Way to much of my time was spent messing with the tires. They run a tire scam business who ever is unlucky enough to have the tires mess up on them has to buy new one for them read more

I reserved a trencher and trailer from the Redding store two weeks ago. I showed up today for my scheduled pickup of a trencher and trailer. Lol and behold, they did not have the trailer I reserved, which meant I couldn't take the trencher. Why didn't anyone call me to let me know the reservation I made wouldn't pan out? This totally f+$#ed my weekend project plans and screwed me out of the time to make new plans. Wouldn't even offer to deliver the trencher to me, even though it was their fault I couldn't pick it up. I believe ably inconsiderate service. I will NEVER give my business to the Rental Guys and strongly urge you to rent from responsible adults, elsewhere. Stay away from Rental Guys--they don't keep their word when you reserve things with a credit card and don't fix their screw ups. read more

RESERVING AHEAD DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET EQUIPMENT! Reserved a backhoe and trailer 2 1/2 weeks ahead of time. They call the afternoon before I'm supposed to pick up the equipment and tell me they sold the backhoe. Then get told I can call the Red Bluff store and they might have one available, which they do, but no trailer, have to spend 30 minutes calling back and forth between Redding and Red Bluff store to make something work so I can get my job done. I then had to pickup a trailer in Redding tow to Red bluff to get the backhoe and then tow back to Redding to do my job that I had scheduled. Got to waste 2.5 hours of the morning running around. The purpose of using Rental Guys in Redding is that it is a couple miles from the job site, I thought it would help save me time but it did not. The backhoe was a wore out tired machine, leaked oil, some controls didn't work, had little power and made my day even longer. Trailer was rough also, fender was rubbing tire, tongue jack doesn't work, had a few lights out. I would not rent from Rental Guys in Redding again. The workers in Red Bluff were helpful and understanding of my frustrations so I will give them some credit down there. Thank You. read more

Rented a movable boom from them. First time I rented it, the boom worked fine. The next time I rented it, it wouldn't lift the legs. It was around 7pm. I called the office, no answer! Then I called the emergency contact number they provide and the guy "Alex" was not helpful because they were close! That I had to wait till they open the following day at 6am! So I called they're corporate office and it sent me back to Alex! They're not helpful when the place closes at 5pm!!! read more
