We have eaten there in the past with good results and figured we definitely needed a burger, onion rings and a hand made shake. Our trip down Route 66 was as pleasurable as always and when we arrived at Anchor 66 the parking lot was full. Luckily one table was leaving just as we walked in so we got an immediate seat but here were also stools available at the counter which would have been perfectly fine with us. My wife ordered the Grandma Retha burger and I ordered the Sooner burger. We shared an order of onion rings and we each ordered a milkshake. Everything was great. The burgers were hot and juicy the onion rings were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. The shakes were definitely the best we have had on some time. We will definitely be returning to Anchor 66 soon for a other dose of goodness. The staff were very friendly and accommodating for us. It was a pleasurable dinner tonight. We will be back!!

We came in for lunch as a group of six, traveling through town, where we could sit at two booths, or at the soda bar across from the grill. The server met us with menus we could use inside or outside on a being developed patio. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and burgers from the menu, not knowing what to expect. One thing I was sure about was that if this diner didn't have something special, it would have never survived as long as it has. The appetizers- (pictured) corn ribs & fried mushrooms were good and served to order. The hamburgers and fries were fresh, warm, and well-prepared. The price was a little more than expected but the hamburgers they delivered were more than what was expected as well and I would order the same again.

Jim's Jumbo Burger is this tiny spot on the corner and is take out only from a single window. It's only open a few hours a day and looks like it's been there, in the same exact spot since before Teddy Ruxpins existed. Exactly my kind of burger joint for lunch when on the road!!!! I grabbed a double cheese burger with bacon and jalapeños and a side of onion rings. I am team mustard so I got yellow bliss added to my buns and I asked for the lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickle be spared as I had to eat on the fly. I really wish I'd have got it tho!!! The burger didn't need it, but I would have preferred it. So this burger was so freaking good!! Patties had this beef flavor that just kicked my taste buds with a tire iron in the best way possible. Then I had bacon stop by and say hi while slapping me a jalapeño kiss . It was hard to keep my truck between the mustard and mayonnaise stripes!! This was an emotional cheeseburger experience!! My onion rings were solid and delicious but for my preference a little too greasy. I'd eat them again but would opt to try the fries if I make it back up that way again!!! Im so glad I stopped in!!! Service was great and the two folks inside were so friendly!!! They showed me what Oklahoma is all about with their kindness in taking my order and getting it out quickly!!!! Cheers y'all!!!!

Unfortunately, this establishment is drive through only from Monday-Wednesday which is when we came by. Not a big deal, a bit disappointed but nothing an excellent meal can't fix and the menu looked promising However, this place is not built for drive through food. Their burgers were served in paper wrappers which within seconds the grease had gotten through and poured into my lap. The only ranch they had was salad packet ranch and they provided no containers to pour it into. Another example of how they are not set up for drive through operations. The food took a very long time to get to us and when it finally did the burger was disgusting. Had an extremely off taste like maybe the meat wasn't quite fresh and it actually made me sick. The only reason this place doesn't get a 1 star is because the kids meals came on cool cardboard cards that was really neat and the chicken nuggets were not terrible. Other than that, at least as a drive through option I can't recommend a since that is 50% of their operations it's definitely a poor mark against them as an establishment.
