Even though its a small parking lot in a strip plaza. Fresh hand pulled noodles are good, which were a little soft for my personal preference, but still good. It may sound strange but things with pork will taste porky. My girlfriend doesn't like pork, but can eat it, but she ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings and it was too porky for her. For me, it tasted just right because this is the flavors I grew up with. The dumpling dough had a nice texture that I prefer. My Ramen had a big fatty pieces of pork which is what I like. They didnt skimp. It was a good bowl of noodle soup. Wouldn't say its the best ramen I ever had, but it was good. Beef roll was good, I would say its one of the better ones I've seen in ABQ where its really filled with beef. Would recommend this. We also got soup dumplings and I will say that we didnt get the proper spoons for them. At first I thought they just didnt offer them, but looking at photos, we never got them. It makes a difference for your eating experience and enjoyment. We will definitely be back as this is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area and you really get some real Chinese variety and not your basic generic stereotypical menu.

And sometimes when there's limited choice here I'll make do with what is available. Fortunately this place is great. You can order a single broth or a split pot. I usually go with the taiwan spicyy broth and one of the others. It's always good, regardless of what ingredients you order they'll pile the plate high. They offer tons of condiments and ice cream for desert. I've also ordered this as delivery which I thought was impossible. But they make it work. You order your broth (single flavor uless you get two orders of broth). You also order your ingredients and whatevder sides you want. I usually get beef, pork and meatballs. Rather than cooking yourself they come cooked in a container with a little brother and you add them at your leisure. I usually get the spicy chicken nuggets as a side and they are delicious. It's a huge portion of food and I almost always have leftovers. Great place!

My server patiently described it all to me and answered my questions. I ended up having a wonderful time both times I've gone. The Thai curry broth is really good. This place is vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free friendly. The portion size is very large. The sauces on the sauce bar are delicious. I really enjoyed being able to mix them in just the ways I chose, that most were vegetarian and vegan, and deciding just what I wanted to eat- which broth, which vegetables and tofu. There is also green onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and such at the sauce bar. There are many options available. The fried mushroom appetizer was good too. Great for a group or date night. It is a casual atmosphere, but a fun experience.

It was so good last year that we actually had a conversation with the owner about them being from San Francisco, after I told him it was the best Chinese food I've had in America outside of San Francisco. Well, that has changed significantly, and not for the better. We made a trip down from Santa Fe this week, specifically to eat at Noodle Works. Yes, we drove over an hour each way on Monday just to eat here. What a mistake! It was clear the General Tzo chicken was microwaved and not fresh fried. It was absolutely inedible! Mall food court Chinese is better than this dish was. Strange because almost exactly 1 year ago their General Tzo's dish was among them best I've ever tasted. I know this dish is not authentic, but to serve pre-fried then microwaved chicken is inexcusable! The Singapore Noodle dish this time was incredibly dry. The curry was more like a dry rub stuck to the noodles than it was a real curry sauce. Again... mall food court quality. Another dish that used to be amazing here. The crab in the crab rangoon was so fishy you could smell it before it was even delivered to the table. It had clearly sat out unrefridgerated during prep for far too long. It was inedible, or of fear of getting food poisoning... they did take it off of our bill. We are so disappointed in how bad the quality has fallen off in the last year! We loved them so much in the past that we will give them one more try, but we will not be making a special trip down from Santa Fe to eat here again. We REALLY hope they get their act together because we really like the employees and owner and want to continue to support them. Management did apologize without being prompted for the slow service and poor quality food, so hopefully they know serious improvement is needed if they are to stay in business. We wish them the best because they are great people. Good luck!

Their Birria tacos are $2 each and are the perfect mix of beef and cheese on a corn tortilla taco. It's not seasoned hamburger, but real, chewy, tasty beef. Go with the Birra tacos, they're the best. The steak taco had a good amount of steak and was 2nd best. The shrimp taco had 2 mid-small shrimp, but was tasty and 3rd best. The chicken taco was packed, but made with chicken and potatoes, bland and dry. All tacos had cheese with cucumbers and onions on the side. No tomatoes or salsa, but I said absolutely no cilantro, so that may be why. A consume is available for dipping and I enthusiastically recommend it, the flavor was rich, meaty and properly seasoned. The manager was attentive and friendly, but the waitress appeared to be a bit inexperienced, slow to get around the tables. She had a great personality, gave great insight on the food and was quite welcoming. She'll be a star in hospitality/food if she puts in the time and effort. The ambiance is your standard "strip mall dive" type booths and tables that aren't there to impress, but get the job done. Muted TVs showing Thor and a Telenovela with comfortably low volume spanish music playing from the counter.

My take out order was ready instantly in a weekend evening! Ready to pick up mere minutes after I placed the order. The employees were super nice! The Birria Pizza is a generous size! I would describe it more like a Birria quesadilla with extra cheese on top, but it was pretty tasty! I liked the sauces on top, and the green salsa on the side was a great accompaniment. The consommé was a little bland, but there was enough going on with the pizza that I didn't really need the consommé. They have a Wednesday special that includes the Birria pizza and 2 agua frescas for a perfect meal for 2!
