For lunch I ordered the Peruvian-style yellowtail ceviche with wonton chips to go, and it was really fresh and delicious. My order was ready in about 10-15 minutes, which was a plus. The food quality was great, which explains the prices. Staff were welcoming and kind, and one of the hostesses offered me water while I waited. Overall good experience and I would go back to try other menu options.

I highly recommend for good sushi and high quality fish. Papas Raw Bar is very Florida coded and a great spot for lunch or dinner. It's a very fun relaxed casual vibe with friendly servers. I got a roll and was impressed by the taste and quality. The crab, tuna were flavorful and fresh. I've been here a few times now and it is consistently good.

Definitely come to Papa's Raw Bar! It was family dinner night and I had a craving for some seafood. The ambiance was very relaxed and family friendly, with enough space to maneuver a stroller and welcoming to my 3-month old. There was a dj outside setting some good vibes and inside was nice a calm. Highly recommend bringing a jacket, the air conditioning inside kept the place pretty chilly when it was on and then comfortably warm when off. The food was fresh and delicious. I would say it rivals Joe's Stone Crab in Miami Beach. Everything was to perfection. My favorites were the fried calamari and the whole fried fish (didn't get a pic). A little lemon juice and nothing more was needed. Our server Mimi was delightful and had great menu knowledge. Especially appreciated her suggestion of spicy mayo with my blackened lobster sandwich rather than the sauce it comes with. Looking forward to coming back!

Wow, let me start off by saying I've been to many "great" seafood establishments and Papa's Raw Bar definitely takes the cake for the best one in South Florida. My wife and I enjoyed everything we ordered, the sushi, crispy rice, and wahoo bites were all 10/10, couldn't be more satisfied with their dishes. The service was also amazing, since we came in to ask for a table and our waitress Liz was super helpful in picking out drinks and food choices, she was very knowledgeable about the menu! I am definitely coming back soon, even if it's an hour drive for us! The vibes here are great and everyone who works here is super nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants tasty fresh seafood for a fair price!

When in Deerfield this is one of my favorite spots. From the service which is always so attentive , to the casual sea food shack ambience but the real star is always the food. We went on a Wednesday which is 1/2 off wines luckily and just wanted some good sushi and chowder. The clam chowder was excellent (first time I tried it). And we shared a few rolls. All the roll recommendations were excellent and we left before dessert. But I will be back for the Key lime Pie and deep fried snapper.

Went again for our anniversary dinner and we're never disappointed! The fresh catch is delicious every time and the sushi was amazing as always. Our food came out quickly and our server was excellent. We had a great time!!

Awesome rolls. Come on Monday for $5 off. Not sure if seafood world market is also theirs. Excellent dining experience. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Awesome place for fresh seafood. Had the red dragon roll which was absolutely delicious as well as the fish dip. My wife had a poke bowl, with brown rice which she really liked. Real casual vibe almost makes you feel like you're sitting in a little waterfront place in New England. Service was a really good stayed on top of things.

Loved this place! This is a fresh fish market in Lightpoint - I've never been here before but I'd certainly go back. We started our meal with drinks and fried wantons with queso - - -wow - - I've never had that combination but it's a winner! The queso was so good I literally licked the bowl (sort of). Next we ordered dinner - my friend had the snow crab legs - 40.00/pound - she loved them. I had the steamed clams - loved them - they were really quite flavorful and dunking the roll in the juice was a fabulous way to end the meal. There is valet parking, music in the evening, outdoor seating (as well as indoor) and a great bar. If you live near Lightpoint and haven't been here - you should go right now!

Ok I LOVED Papa's Raw Bar I went on a Friday night and there was great live music playing - even though this spot is on Federal and we sat outside, I felt like I was at a beach bar! The sushi was fresh tasting, and the different types of rolls were very unique and flavorful. Servers were very friendly and attentive, I can't wait to come back to the spot. It may be a new favorite of mine!

5/10/25 Great sushi, so many choices. Everything is very fresh. Very casual atmosphere. Terrific service. The queen bee roll, spicy tuna, zack attack are all favorite sushi rolls. Highly recommend the fresh fish tacos, and white clam chowder.

We had a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food arrived quickly, and our server provided excellent service throughout the meal. Everything we ordered was delicious--the smoked fish dip was especially flavorful, and the sushi roll did not disappoint. I chose the tilefish lemon pepper sandwich, which was also outstanding. I would definitely recommend this spot and look forward to returning!

I hear this place is wonderful, parking is difficult, and the place is always packed. My question is what time should we get there for dinner on a Sat night if we want to eat inside in a booth or at a table and we want the least wait time? TIA.

If you go before 5:30 pm you will have no problem parking or getting a table right away After November 1, I would go at 5

Let me start by saying that we LOVE the sushi at Sushi Song. The fish is incredibly fresh, and normally the food alone would have us coming back. Unfortunately, no amount of good sushi makes up for being treated like shit by someone working there. At the end of our meal, we asked a completely reasonable question about the tuna tartare simply whether the portion had gotten smaller. We weren't demanding a refund, asking for free food, complaining, or being rude. We asked a question. What happened afterward was honestly unbelievable. We could hear the sushi chef behind the glass talking down about us. And it wasn't just some harmless kitchen banter the comments were condescending toward us as customers and became personal enough that we could hear him commenting on me and my boyfriend and our relationship. Imagine going out for your anniversary, spending your money at a restaurant, and then having an employee sitting behind a glass talking shit about you while you're still sitting there. We weren't even given the basic courtesy of being treated like human beings who could hear what was being said. If you're going to have something to say about your customers, at least have the professionalism to say it to their faces instead of hiding behind a glass wall and assuming they can't hear you. The irony is that we actually WANT to love this place. The sushi is fantastic. But when the people preparing your food are openly disrespecting you and making personal comments about your relationship, it completely kills the experience. Good food is not an excuse for terrible hospitality. We will not be returning while that chef is there. Sushi Song has some of the best sushi we've had, but unfortunately, the attitude behind the counter left a much stronger impression than the food did. Management should seriously consider whether having someone treat paying customers this way is worth losing repeat business over. Absolutely ruined what was supposed to be a special anniversary dinner.

Since there was just one other couple there with us that day, we were able to interact with the chef, which was pleasant and highly informative. He showed us the styrofoam, dry iced box that had been overnighted from Japan and arrived that day, with beautiful, vibrant fish inside waiting to be appreciated. VERY importantly, he explained where everything we consumed came from in Japan, ie "off the coast of Hokkaido," and that the fish was INDIVIDUALLY LINE CAUGHT which should matter to everyone due to the devastation mass fishing brings to the oceans and the earth. We watched the meticulous slicing and plating of each of the 12 dishes. NO rice. No wasabi to kill the flavor, only if and when the chef added it himself. No jars of soy. Just a small plate of ginger and a moistened napkin to clean fingers between courses. Oysters in a beautiful broth. Three types of tuna. The chef told us that weekly they do a "Tuna Night" where all courses are cut fresh from a whole tuna delivered that day. Amazing. This is a very special place and we expect to return!

Not sure how many courses were served but it's all single pieces to savor in one or two bites. Some memorable creations include a beautifully cooked piece of sea bass, a flight of bluefin tuna including the absolute highlight of oh toro with caviar, surprising great oyster with some roe on top (and I don't eat oysters), a sea urchin which was very good even though I'd normally never order one, a double bite of wagyu beef...so soft and melts in your mouth, and last a slice of whiskey spritzed crown melon which apparently costs over $150/melon. For the second dessert they provided a rice crisp ice cream sandwich - really unique and tasty. Oh and what a delicious miso soup! They have a huge list of Saki if your into that with the pinnacle offered at $2800 or maybe was $3800. Some other reasonably priced options. I have no recommendation here as we aren't saki drinkers. I was told by another patron that the menu can vary so you may not be served everything I noted but I imagine the tuna trio is a constant as it's incredible. As far as ambiance, it's a very intimate restaurant with just a sushi bar that might seat 12 people. The chef prepares the sushi right in front of you and explains what each item is. Also very receptive to questions and nice to get a little convo going with him and the other guests as you enjoy and discuss the delicacies. There is a second chef who works in the back to help with some of the cooked items and a very nice hostess who seats you and helps all night. Our reason for going? Well our $1600 vacation plans fell apart and so we decided to spend that money on a staycation and treat ourselves to some fantastic local restaurants.

We did Japanese BBQ and ordered a mix of meats, shrimp, vegetables, and all the little sides that come along with it. Everything cooked up really well on the grill, but the steak was easily one of my favorites, tender, flavorful, and even better with the dipping sauces and wrapped in lettuce. We also ordered sushi to start, including a spicy tuna roll and a shrimp tempura roll. Both were fresh and a nice way to start before getting into the BBQ. And obviously, we had to finish with s'mores. They bring everything to the table and you roast the marshmallows right over the grill, which was such a cute way to end dinner. The one downside was the cleanliness when we were being seated. We actually had to change tables twice because there was still food and debris on the floor around the tables that had been missed during cleaning I suppose. It wasn't the best first impression and definitely something they could pay a little more attention to between guests. The restaurant is in a very, very busy area and the first thing we noticed walking in is how loud it was inside we asked to be seated in the rear where it was a little bit more quiet. After being seated, our server came quickly with a request for beverages and some menus. We didn't wait long at all. The service was good and friendly. We decided to try some things that we had not had before to see just what it would be like here at this particular restaurant and the results were a bit mixed but overall good. I had the Mongolian beef and I was happy with the dish. It was plentiful. The quality of the meat seemed good and the flavors were OK not amazing. My sweetheart had a fried rice and shrimp dish and while the tastes were OK, we were surprised at how few shrimp were in the dish. The food came hot and it came quickly and the presentation was very nice as you could see from the photos when we go back? the answer is probably. My suggestion is try this restaurant midweek when it's not so loud and see if you like it. It's open to the street and they have ample outdoor dining, which is nice but it was too muggy for us to sit outside that particular day. We didn't try their cocktails, but the people around us were enjoying them and they looked excellent. I hope you give it a try and comment or let me know what you think!
