That's me there, ordering brisket, about to have my life changed.
John F.

Oh man, what a welcome and unexpected surprise on our way just passing past Madison. What a frickin GEM. My friend asked, "What's on the brisket sandwich?" The reply: "Brisket, why, you need something else?" No, good sir, we needed not one thing else. The meat was smoked well, not overpowering, but flavorful. The sauce was so dang good. I love it with a little tang, and this was perfect. Portions of the brisket were a little tough -- not being a BBQ pro, not sure if that's regular, but that's the reason I didn't give this place a fifth star. And he let me try the banana pudding on the sly. Never had it before, may never have it again, but as far as appetizers go, I nearly ruined my appetite on the stuff. So good. This food truck, upon the grass at the edge of a gas station, is fine eating with good company. Thanks for making one of the fondest memories of our little road trip.

Not good

First of all when I cook food for people I taste it, making sure the quality of it is good, and I want them to enjoy my food even if they don't come back I want them to say, good things about my food. I went to Papa John's yesterday in Delavan Wisconsin at the mobile gas station my son had rib tips there I tasted them, they weren't great but they were good so, I went there expecting at least some good rib tips however, they were nasty they were greasy fatty they were big, chunks of meat, the bean was mush, the potato salad is just big chunks of potato the cornbread is I don't know what this s*** is.the food was nasty I was so disappointed the first bite into the meat was greasey and it was like it had been in the freezer it was awful the food was awful it was awful and it had no seasoning I don't know what that is but it ended up in the garbage. it was horrible, I wouldn't recommend anybody go there not for the food anyway. The ribs tips I purchased was not good at all, they were greasy, fatty and meat tasted old,I took one bite,to be quiet honest it made me sick. It tasted like old freezer burn meat. I was only able to send this one image

Brisket with fries and coleslaw

True, hardwood, smoked BBQ right off an inconspicuous Broadway gas station is where you will find the best brisket in the area. The meal included a sweet/vinegar sauce that perfectly complemented the slow-cooked, smoke-infused offerings. Seriously - this stuff is the real deal. You just can't get this anywhere! For the sides I would recommend getting the coleslaw and the baked beans which have a unique peppery finish. You may have to plan your visit here as the are only open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday around lunchtime...and this by no means is a strict schedule. If you see the smoke billowing - you should be stopping to place an order.

Great brisket sandwich. For the price you get a great portion, when she handed me the box I was shocked at how heavy it was! I was able to get two sandwiches out of it. Sauce was good...not to hot and not to spicy. Finding places like this is amazing and a must stop if driving down the belt line.

This has to be some of the best BBQ to move past my lips. Epic portions wonderful smells. The hush puppies and coleslaw were just as awesome as the rib tips. Next time I'm trying the catfish I almost was going to sit there till it was time for dinner

I visited Luang Prabang, a Lao-Thai cart on Library Mall, a few times earlier this year. They had a…read moreregular menu that included curries, noodles, and salads, but also a rotating daily menu, all at very affordable prices. The people working at the cart were really nice and accommodating, and were happy to modify any dish they could for ingredients that you can't or don't eat. The first thing I tried was the squash curry, which was a really generous portion size for $7, consisting of rice topped with a rich coconut milk-based curry filled with chicken, kabocha, and zucchini. It was really filling and tasty. But the real winner from the cart after a few visits was the avocado spring roll, which was $3.50 and the size of a burrito. It was basically a giant fresh roll filled with avocado, lettuce, cabbage, mint, rice noodles, cucumber, carrot, and peanut sauce. We got the medium spicy sauce, and it had a fantastic kick to it. Still can't believe something so large was only a few dollars, as it was such a great deal. Definitely worth trying this cart if you're looking for something to eat on campus.

Can I be real right now? I hate waffles. I'm not a fan of food trucks. I hate paying $8 at a food…read moretruck I don't know. I was quite cranky when I stopped here. I honestly thought I was going to hate it, but sweet baby Jesus this was delicious. After a painful half hour of trying to figure out what to eat, I was on a quest to find a Cubano place I randomly came across on UberEats. I had a hunch they were closed and didn't want the to go through the hassle of a refund. On my way home I drove by this food cart by The Crystal Corner Bar. I had been craving a good chicken and waffles dish for a few months so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a shot and did a quick U turn. Turns out they didn't have chicken and waffles tonight. I almost left right then and there, but my boyfriend really wanted to try the brat waffle. He promised we could grab something else if it was awful. So I gave it a go with the Crunchy Hugger. My boyfriend talked up the person running it while I snapped a few quick photos. The guy was incredibly nice. He explained they don't have chicken and waffles all the time because they make their gravy by letting it slow cooking it over course of a day. Sounds impressive. We will be heading back there this Saturday night to check it out. When we got the food I was actually pretty impressed with the size and presentation. Still being rather cranky and half asleep I wanted to head back to the car to eat though the guy said we could take it in the bar and grab a drink. After the first few bites both my boyfriend and I were in love. The berries were incredibly fresh, the granola was solid, and the waffle was heavenly. My boyfriend's was just as good. The brat itself was on point. Cooked perfectly and the seasoning was phenomenal. It went surprisingly well with the waffle. I can't say brats and waffles is as good as chicken and waffles, but it's a great runner up. If I were in a better mood, or better yet drunk, I would be ranting and raving up and down the street. Seriously, this would be an amazing stop in the way home from drinking. Congratulations WeGo Waffles. You managed to impress me beyond words with food I don't even like.
