Tripleta
Eunice H.

El Wiscorican is an excellent food truck. Everything they make is delicious. I'm so glad that we have some Puerto Rican cuisine here! They are also such nice people. We have always loved them - their involvement with the community, charitable contributions, etc.. but during this pandemic, I feel like they've done an even more excellent job at catering for the community, safely too. The tripleta is one of my favorite sandwiches here in Madison. There are 3 meats: pork, chicken, and beef with some mayo/ketchup, chimichurri, and crunchy fries (almost like sticks). The meats are so juicy... The best, however, is that all of this is enveloped in a homemade bread bun. It is just the perfect sweetness with a nice chewiness to it. So good!

Really good food. I wish they could have a restaurant or bakery! The flavor is amazing and the staff is nice.

Without a doubt, out of the 25 states I've visited across the United States, this restaurant has…read morethe best atmosphere and ambiance that truly captures the spirit of Colombia. Every detail on the walls, in the décor, and throughout the space reflects the cultural richness and folklore of our country. It was, without question, an emotional experience filled with wonderful memories. Tasting a liver with onions that instantly took me back to the Colombian Caribbean was unforgettable. The lulo, passion fruit, and mango juices were spectacular. The garlic-flavored rice, the lentils cooked to perfection, and the grandmother-style salad... in short, the food was simply outstanding. The service provided by Emily (Ecuador), Juan (Bucaramanga) , and María José (Bogotá) was a perfect 10 out of 10. I don't regret for a second having driven all the way from Chicago to Milwaukee (3 hours) just to visit this restaurant. I would return one hundred times over; especially because here you can truly feel the flavor, the energy, and the heart of Colombia all in one place.

Food was solid! Very flavorful and didn't have a single bad dish…read more Service was probably one of the worst I have ever experienced. Our server was late, never checked up on us, and we got our food before our drinks. We had to request to get checked out because our server never came back. While paying, the person checking us out didn't say there was an 18% charge already included for tip until after we had clicked our selection to tip them. Place is cute, very spacious. Tl;dr, Service was not good, but food was decent.

The rice and peas was a little dry and I needed hot sauce but very flavorful. We had no complaints about the festival and cabbage. My biggest complaint was the service. Our main server may have been having a bad day because he was very curt; at the end we got our check from a different worker and she was lovely. The food took quite a long time for a lunch past 1:30pm, when there were only three other tables. We would come back but would plan for a bit more time, this is probably not the best place for a quick stop lunch.

The weather was terrible when I stopped in, so I had the restaurant to myself. They have a full bar and cocktail list. I started with old-fashioned made with rum. It was delicious. For food items, I wasn't that hungry so opted for a few items. Ordered the beef and cheese, empanada, jerk, chicken, skewer, and the oxtail birria taco. Except for the chicken skewer not having a hard sear, everything was exceptionally delicious. Love the pineapple and onion relish that accompanied the chicken skewer. The Beria taco was rich with unctuous oxtail meet in a soaked tortilla shell. It was seriously addiction. Love to see the empanada with some sort of accompanying sauce, but regardless it was delicious. Three TVs to watch sports on. And just a great setting to grab a bite to eat. Highly recommended.
