So I'd like to start out and say. If you like a good pizza you have to try this place. I hear there's 3 places. I went to the one in Corvallis. Lots of windows and well lit. The buffet is the best and a dying thing. They keep it well supplied and clean. I'm picky on my pizza and well I really like this pizza. I'm a Canadian bacon and pineapple but can say their pepperoni is good too. So I'd say and yes I say this on good places. Try in once and I have a good idea you may go back again. I've been going to Papas pizza since I was a kid. I developed a gluten allergy about 10 years ago and haven't been to a Papas for years as for a long time they didn't have gluten free crust. Holy smokes! Literally the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. It's a handmade crust (not like the standard pre-packaged Udi crust most places use). So good! Well, the pizza and salad buffets offer plenty of food. That is the good part. Pizza is decent although the options are sort of limited, and the salad bar is good. But, if you don't have kids, not sure this is a place to go to. Lots of kids here because there is a giant play area in the back. And the play area is nuts. Parents aren't supervising their kids at all. An employee asked me to keep an eye on the carousel because a kid had gotten stuck on it earlier. WTH? This is one of the best pizza places in town and they are very accurate with your order so when you get your food it's going to be correctly done it's going to be made with a lot of care and they're very quick. This food is excellent I just had another pizza delivered from these guys and it was one of the best. Their sauce is really good has a lot of flavor and a little bit of kick to it I highly recommend ordering extra sauce and the meat is all really very good they've got green olives which is a plus and the buffet is amazing. Well, it seems like it's been a year since I went. I must have figured it was about time, so I did. The pizza was OK. That's all I expect, so no surprise there. There was an event going on, so the staff tried hard to keep various flavors coming out. I appreciate that they did try to keep one half of one non-meat pizza out on the buffet. Those non-meat options seemed to disappear pretty quickly; too bad they didn't have more of 'em. Crust was ok; nothing spectacular. Mushrooms are from a can. The salad bar was well stocked with fresh spinach, marinated beets, and plenty of the usual suspects. The staff was friendly as always. Very much appreciated. They always smile. That's got to be hard in that business, but they do it. Thank you! All that said, I lost my appetite when there was hair in my food. I know it wasn't mine because it wasn't silver/white. Brought my hubby & granddaughter here for play time and pizza. Hubby and I bought small 10" Teriyaki Chicken pizza for $19.30 & 2 drinks for $6.30. Pizza was pretty good but in my opinion expensive and a bit over done as well. Not sure where the chicken was. Got Lil Square Meal for gd. It's a little 4" or so cheese pizza that was over done with burnt edges, cookie, milk and small salad bowl. The price was good actually, $6.50 but not for an over cooked pizza that she won't eat. And a salad bowl for kids??? I guess people get the jello. No just make a good pizza. It wasn't very hot, the crust was too crunchy and just overall tasteless. I scraped off a bit of the topping and ate it with a fork, but even that wasn't good enough to justify the calories. I tossed most of it. I honestly don't think I have ever tossed a piece of pizza in my life. The Salad bar is fine. The cashier gal was friendly. But I won't be back. The model is an old-style nw pizza parlor with a play room/arcade for kids. The main dining area is large and back rooms are reserved for events. Unfortunately it is not aging well. Reserved rooms are windowless and dark. Furniture is worn. As with many places, they are understaffed. A long line waited for one person to take orders at 3 PM. $41 for a pizza is a premium price in this market, but their combination pizza had no peppers and and all menu specialty pizzas come with canned mushrooms. Fresh mushrooms cost 1.50 extra on request. Food quality was fair. The crust is a little heavy and crunchy. Sauce and cheese were good. I brought my youngest daughter here for a classmates birthday party. She had a piece of cheese pizza and said it was good. My review is for the "play area". What a shit show. There's a sign outside the room says all the rules.. no food, no hitting, no running, so on and so on. Inside the play area there is a sign that says all parents need to supervise their children, Papa's staff aren't supervising your children. Yet there is a staff person in there. Out of about 30 children there were 3 parents plus a staff person. I witnessed kids playing tag, and running everywhere.. a rule broke.. staff person said nothing. A boy was hitting and kicking the staff and was not kicked out of the play area. Kids running around with suckers in there mouth.. no food.. rule broke.. nothing done.They don't enforce rules, a staff person being in there is useless. I will not be back. read more

I discovered papa's pizza early this year. the quality was great. the order was made just as I asked. the sauce had great flavor and the order was exactly as I placed it (ie. extra sauce and cheese). they even had the bulk style linguica instead of sliced (pepperoni style) which I think is so much better than sliced. over the next few months I tried it again a couple of times, and did not get extra sauce as I ordered, and was told they seldom get the bulk linguica that they order for their suppliers. I decided to try other local pizza places and found a couple pretty good places. just tonight, I decided to try papa's again. while the order was of basic good quality, they did not add extra sauce, as I requested, in fact it was quite dry...they told me that they no longer have linguica at all (which is my favorite pizza topping). sorry to say, I will be ordering pizza from the other pizza places I have found. Hopefully papa's will look back to realize the quality they used to exhibit, and make corrections accordingly. these recent examples of ways to conduct business are the the kind that drives companies to complete failure. i should add this review is for the Corvallis location. Can't speak for the other stores as obviously quite different than the other locations evidently quite separate based on the fact that you have to choose your location before you even can view the menu...maybe that should have been my first "red flag ". read more

Papa's Pizza. I'm dumbfounded that this place has been open for 50 years? Like that has to be a joke. A glitch in the goddamn matrix or something. My friend and I went to this laughing stock of a restaurant for the first time ever today, looked dingy and aesthetic so props to the architect. It seemed nice when our order was taken. My friend and I were confused why there was literally no one else in the restaurant. We aren't confused anymore. The best part about this place was the claw machine, and even then we didn't win anything. We got cheese sticks as an appetizer so that was alright. The ranch was mid but at least this part of the meal was edible. Literally, all we got on the pizza was vegan cheese, onions, spinach ,half sausage, and olives. Not complicated. Not rocket science. This was our first time visiting this place and actually reserved to celebrate a birthday party .Management was great on the phone and very helpful. However , when we arrived nothing could have prepared us for how the time would go . The staff was nice and helpful as the food came out and also if we requested anything . When we got there we were the only party with the only kids in the play area. Everything was smooth and kids were enjoying themselves . An hour later more families arrived and it was complete chaos . We had random kids coming and stealing slices of pizza and one of them was even coming around and scrapping the frosting off of the cardboard that the cake was in. There was no adult supervision for any of those kids . There was no staff coming around to check the play area either to enforce the required supervision . To top it off my daughter was in the playroom and in a split second a random kid ran in to her and she was crying so much that she threw up and we then decided to leave. 2 hour wait time for delivery. food wasn't warm. delivery driver was rude and had no customer service. he acted like he was doing is a favor by delivering pizza. we called an hour and a half after we ordered our pizza and was told that it could be on the truck and if it wasn't there in 45 minutes call them back. so they wanted us to wait another 45 minutes on top of what we already wait for. screw this place worst customer service ever from this place.
