Even when paying extra for toppings, especially extra cheese, don't be surprised if it doesn't happen. Ever. It had a nice sour tang and was moderately spicy (both very nice), and had fresh vegetables as well as tofu strips. I asked for the small portion of General Tso's Chicken with steamed rice. The serving was well more than I could finish after a long day of driving. The sauce was great, and the breading or the chicken was crisp and crunchy. The chicken chunks (of which there were plenty) were huge. Spouse ate about a third of the huge portion of the Shrimp dish, which came with both plentiful peapods, lots of celery and brocoli, and more than a dozen shrimp. The shrimp and vegetables were crisp and fresh. Our server, Sandy, was also great, answering our questions about menu items, the history of the restaurant, etc. as well as bringing our food & drinks very promptly. She checked in every once and a while, and brought boxes for our leftovers, which we added to our travel cooler for lunch tomorrow, along with two sets of chopsticks. The last thing we check in a new restaurant is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Again, very nice! A nice touch: There are a couple of bins of childrens' toys at the desk. Total for our dishes plus tea was $28.95 before tip, a terrific deal. We tipped generously and complimented the chef.
