I used to be a regular at this location long ago, before the remodel, and it was always great service! The two young guys that worked there, always remembered my order. And if I showed up before opening time, they always opened up a little early for me and got my order going. I have to say the great service still continues. I still come here from time to time. The person working (it's been a different person every time)is always friendly, pizza is always loaded with plenty of toppings! Once I dropped by after I got off work, it was early, maybe 10:30. I didn't realize it wasn't opened yet and got out of my car and tried the door. I ordered 3 pizzas. One Hawaiian and two gluten free crust pizzas. After paying for all three, I waited for them to be made. When I went to pick them up, I was told they were out of gluten free crusts. They offered to make two more pizzas. I told them the other people couldn't have the crusts. My family and I went to the Papa Murphy's on Shaw and Marks. There was one person working a 4:00pm so had to wait a long time. We ordered 2 pizza we had requested extra sauce, was given less sauce than normal. The thing that was the most upsetting was the cheese was almost not existent. For a large pizza there was probably not even a half a cup of cheese if that. Cheese was so scarce that basically all you could see was crust. Toppings were almost non existent as well. We have been to many Papa Murphy and been very pleased. I think the owner must be a tight wad. I'm sure he's not even putting on the amount of cheese and toppings that Papa Murphy tells them to put on. Terribly disappointed. Will definitely never return to this Papa Murphy and will definitely be telling my family and friends to make sure they go to another Papa Murphys if they actually want a pizza with toppings. I came to Papa Murphy's with my beautiful mom in February/March 2019 as we on a mommy daughter date. When we came in we were greeted immediately by staff it was pretty dead inside. My mom and I looked over the menu and we got two pizzas one meat and one veggie. We thought they give you the option to have your pizza baked or taken home to bake. They never gave us the option to have it baked in the store so we left disappointed...highly disappointed. We went home and baked it ourselves which was fine but it was probably the most distasteful pizza I've ever eaten. Little Caesars was way better than this! And I really dislike Little Casers! The sauce and cheese tasted gross! Even the dough too! Have not been back since! Other local brands are better!!! read more

First take and bake pizza experience, which did not disappoint! Wish they had a papa Murphy's in SoCal~ Great place for any pizza lovers. Papa Murphy's is unique since they make the pizza when you order, but comes refrigerated as you have to bake it at home. We ordered online and got half and half family size Hawaiian and Mediterranean pizza ($20) with cheesy bread on the side ($3.99). Went to go pick it up 20 minutes later, they forgot to pack the cheesy bread so went back to get that. The pizza takes around 15-20 minutes to make and cheesy bread takes 10-15 min to bake. The Hawaiian pizza was my favorite~ topped with plenty of pineapple and pizza, not overly greasy cheese and soft crust. The Mediterranean pizza was also delicious, but a little greasy with the olive oil. The cheesy bread is a cheese bomb! More like a cheese lasagna, wish the crust was a little crispier but good for any cheese lovers. Highly impressed by the quality of papa Murphy's pizza! Would love to try other combination toppings~ Hoping they will make a papa Murphy's in SoCal one day. read more

Been to a few Papa Murphys in fresno and I am not sure what this place is doing different but they have the best tasting pizza out of the the others I have tried. Their dough is great and seem very fresh, cheese is good, and topping are fresh and plentiful. Highly recommend this place for a take in bake pizza. During these difficult times, Papa Murphy's has jumped on the price gouging wagon. For a long time now they have had $10 Tuesday and now TODAY they have raised the price 10 per cent just when families need a place to pick up carry out dinners. Bad move. Looks like we will now go to Pieology for our pizza from now on. Hopefully the community will not patronize them at this price. read more

I honestly don't understand what is so wonderful about their pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was substandard, at best. The flavor was a little salty and was way too greasy for my liking (and that's after we patted the greasy off the pizza after we baked it). I ended up with acid reflux because of the grease. The only reason I gave my review two stars was because the staff was super friendly and personable. Lets get one thing out of the way, no this isn't the best pizza you are ever going to have. In fact there probably are very few places in Fresno where you are going to get that, but for an inexpensive take home & bake yourself pizza, its a pretty good deal. With that said, this particular location somehow manages to make their pizzas better. I use the word make lightly since they essentially just put the ingredients and you bake it yourself, but they do something different, because their pizzas taste better. It definitely seems like they put a little more cheese on top which I enjoy, the rest I can only assume is some sort of wizardry on the employees part, or perhaps voo doo. You can get whatever you want, but they're various combos makes it easy to pick out a pizza you'll like. Nice crust, not too thick or thin. If you have a coupon, you can get a family-size for $12. I don't know if the girl was new or was just not close enough attention to me, I had a very simple order and was asked to repeat it several times and didn't really feel valued as a customer.
