AVOID THIS PIZZERIA!!! We order the $9.99 ( 3 of them ) with UNLIMITED toppings 3 weeks ago. THAT WAS A FLAT OUT LIE!!! A total of SEVEN toppings before an additional cost, so if you ordered everything on a pizza it would DOUBLE the cost! I ordered anchovies and NONE were on the pizza. We did not call and complain, but should have! Now it's $9.99 for ONLY THREE toppings! WTF?! The sauce is bland and sugary and gave us indigestion. The Buffalo sauce was OK but not great, but decent heat. We used the app and did 2 separate orders and they only brought one to my wife, until she had to demand the other which were PREPAID!! My wife said the white 20 years old woman had a bad attitude that served her. Not cool. We will NEVER go here again. Perhaps we will go to the Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti locations IF they do ACTUALLY UNLIMITED toppings. Go to Toarmina's pizza instead. Most are decent, but the New Boston one is great. Their 24 inch special pizzas go for $40 but the quality is superb, real cheese and one great 24 inch has about 3 to 4 times as much pizza as these inferior Papa John's. Toarmina also has 14/16 inch pizzas that start at $11.49 and some 24 inch go for $26 ( to $40 for an everything pizza ). Toarmina has about 20 plus locations in the greater Detroit region plus some in Lansing and other remote Michigan locations. Eat better pizza? Yeah that is TOARMINA!!! read more

First time here and not impressed. Sauce was too sweet, asked for well done and wasn't do not care for their 3 cheese blend . On the bright side the staff was friendly and the jalapeño papa bites were great. Maybe it was just an off night. read more

The woman who took my order was nice. However, she said my pizza would be delivered in 30-40 min and it took almost 2 hours. AND, it was cold and smashed to one side of the box when I received it. read more

Horrible can't even call and order a pizza they do nothing right. When you call to order a pizza you talk to someone in the Asia. Double charged. The sign is dim and place still has covid signs disgusted...stay away read more

Placed order online. Hours show open until 10 pm. Order was placed around 7:30. Order was voided with no call or text notification. Called the store and they were closing early. While the staff answering the phone did offer to complete the order the following evening, it doesn't solve the problem or experience of today. Do better guys. read more

The Big Shaq Pizza was the best pizza I have ever eaten in 2020 plus a proceed of the sales go to charity. Lemme tell you about my Za. I ordered the Big Shaq with mushrooms & extra sauce and I feel in love. The sauce blended in with the cheese and dough nicely, kind of a sweeter sauce that I can't stop thinking about. The pizza was XL so be hungry. I clearly was as I ate four slices right off the bat. The Garlic Butter dipping sauce was the key to victory for this glorious pizza. It was buttery and rich. The sauce really brought out the flavors of the sauce and cheese, kind of like a glue that brings everything together. Forget the ranch (It's a sin to say in Metro Detroit) but get extra garlic dipping sauce. If eating this sauce and the Big Shaq Pizza so much means that I may develop a Badonkadonk than baby, play me some "WAP" cause this is a Wickedly Awesome Pizza! A+ and hot from the oven! read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would!! Dude who took my order was rude and kept talking over me. Then I get there and they tell my husband they ran out of bbq sauce and couldn't do flat wings when I was told on the phone they could then when I get the wings they are small as hell!! I ate all 16 wings and was still hungry smh my husband should have got what he wanted and dipped bc these wings ain't it read more

This business went downhill fast.  I ordered a pizza at 705pm on Sat., Nov 27th.  I received my pizza ICE COLD at 955pm.  I called, and called and called and at no time was rude.  She said there was only one driver and told me my pizza would be warm every time and that I was next.  Never once apologizing.  I filed 2 complaints in writing and NOONE called me back.  I wanted a VERY BIG REPLACEMENT for that GOD AWFUL PIZZA and the unbelievable delivery time.  I even told the girl, why didn't you just tell your customers when they ordered that it was best to pick it up, especially me since I live right around the corner.  She said "Im not doing that, there are too many"  I said then you will lose alot of customers.  So in other words this owner doesn't care about any customers at all and I got the worst pizza in my life. On 12/11/2021 I called the 877# and they told me Ashley Olson gave a free food and $30 credit.  So I called 5 times, they picked up the phone and hung up.  So I placed the order online and say pay with cash, because I figured when I went in there I could get it.  The male manager was so rude and told me that he wasn't honoring it.  Then asked me if I already placed the order, I said yes, and asked him why they kept hanging up the phone and about my complaint.  He then said I was going to give it to you, but not now.  GET THE F--- OUT.  His exact words.  I called him an a-hole and left.  He yelled more obscenities as I left.  He should be FIRED. read more

Truly Was Rooting For The New Management To Make A Go Of It. First Couple Orders Were Actually Quite Good, But Then The Service And Product Went Down Hill. Pizza Was Either Under Cooked Or Over Cooked. What Is Really Troubling Was That Papa John's Didn't Give A Damn! Filled Out A Survey, Asked Them To Call Me, The Result, You Guessed It...Zip...Ziltch...NADA! Sent A Number Of Emails After That...Again...No Response. Guess, They Like Positive Reviews and Do The See No Evil Bit When A Concerned Client Contacts Them. I've Attached A Photo Of The Dark Brown Bread Sticks Floating In A Sea Of Goo....Appetizing? Nope! Like I Said, Really Wanted These Guys To Make A Go Of It. Sad. read more

Ordered through a Google Search off a YELP screen. The specials didn't match the flyer or the Papa John's Website. The Pizzas were ready, but the counter person couldn't match up the price. We came close enough and took them home. We all thought they were a little undercooked, but pretty tasty. They had a good portion of toppings and quite a bit of cheese. Papa John's seems to have a lot of potential specials, be it printed flyer, store windows or Internet. It's a little confusing, but the end product is still above average. I can go 3 stars and I'll probably be back... read more

Hmmm..got the pan pizza, so as per their pic of it in their advertising it looks thick n lux, almost like a foccacia what I got was a flat just like any other pizza..and a burnt cheese crust around It! So that was the appearance..as for the taste..the dough/crust was dense n chewy n quite yum..im addicted to breadso loved the taste of this bread. Got the veggie.. tomatoes were juicy, sauce sweet , after a long explanation while ordering..they still got the veges wrong!! Not a biggie. Overall It was ok..will prob not go back here again. read more

I would give this store -5 stars if I could and the customer service a -10. On Saturday, I decided to try the 6.99 meal deal and purchase 3 items from the Papa Johns on Wayne rd. I live about 2 miles from the store but it was 7pm and the gets were ready for bed, so we opted for delivery. With tax, delivery, tip, it came to 28.00. Delivery time was 28 minutes. At 7:29 it stated the pizza was out for delivery. At 8:02 I began calling the store. No answer. Ended up having to order food for the kids thru Uber eats. It showed up before the pizza. At 8:20 I contacted corporate and the live chat sent me to the send a comment section. At 8:34 the pizza was delivered. First concern was box for pizza was half open. No Covid-19 seal like advertised. Driver gave the food, apologized for wait and hurried away. The pizza was cold and soggy like it had been sitting for an hour. Same thing for the papadia. The cinnamon pull aparts were still partially frozen. Tried calling the store again, still no answer. Another reach out to corporate and again sent to the comments section. End result, no food. I have been a loyal Papa Johns customers for over 12 years. Stood by them through thick and thin. However this was it for me. Michigan has so many pizza joints that actually care about quality and customer service. Papa johns does not. Too much competition to tolerate being charged for food you cannot enjoy and customer service that does not exist. All that said if you still crave some papa johns, here are my suggestions.1: Pick up only. This ensures hot food and you can inspect it there and make them fix it. 2: Do not use the one in Westland. Drive up to Garden City or over to Michigan Ave. This store is not taking the Covid-19 precautions advertised in every commercial. read more

Terrible. I ordered on yelp and papa johns canceled my order because they didn't have some of the items i was ordering. Instead of calling me and making things right by asking if I would like to change my order, they canceled it. Now i wont receive my money back for 5-10 days(because i pre payed through the app) terrible terrible customer service and I will never order through them again. read more

Good old Papa Johns. I haven't had their pizza in years, until last night. I did my studies at Grand Valley State University, in Allendale MI. Back when I attended, there were a variety of on-campus dining options especially for the Freshman, but there was only 1 pizza-joint: Papa Johns. It wouldn't be uncommon for me and other on-campus students to have Papa John's a few times a week. Times were good back then, I was 19, winning and had the company of ladies many of night. Now I'm 30, overweight and alone with my two doggies. Last week I passed this Papa Johns location and was pleasantly surprised, as I had not seen/noticed one around for a while. So last night I enjoyed a few dilly-dilly's and then ordered a large pepperoni pizza, garlic bread sticks and chocolate chip brownies through their website. After about 30-45 minutes (on a holiday weekend) my pizza arrived. It was absolutely the way I remembered it: DELICIOUS. I devoured half of that pizza and a couple bread sticks in one sitting. Fresh as always. Back when I went to GVSU I ate this stuff so much I was sick of it by the time I graduated. I am glad I can welcome Papa John back into my life. read more

Horrible customer service I placed my order at 11:07 AM on the Papa John's website it is now 12:15 PM and when I track my order it's still says preparing so I'm sitting here at lunchtime at work with no food Call Papa John's at 12:20 to get an ETA on my order the Papa John's representative was so rude that he said I'm canceling your order and hung up on me extremely rude read more

Just tried to leave this feedback on Papa John's website. The website wouldn't let me submit it. Thanks for your concern PJ's: What happened to the store that has been delivering to my house in Westland, MI? Just tried to place an order for delivery online and the store seems to have disappeared from your website. Now there is no store that delivers to my house? read more

Dissatisfied. We custom ordered our pizzas online. We always order our pizzas well-done. We ordered here last night because there's finally a Papa John's that's close enough to our home. The pizzas we received were far from well done. Closer to raw. Really disappointed. read more

I was eager to find what the hype was with Papa John's fresh ingredients. I order a large cheese and a large meat pizza. There was no flavor to them and the crust was boring. I was excited that there was a store close to us, but won't be going there in the future. The only reason I didn't leave just 1 star was the person who greeted me and brought the pizza out to me was extremely professional. My parents along with my electrician who was here at the time all said they have had much better pizzas. And they couldn't deliver to my house. read more

Yuck!!!! Ordered 2 pizza's for delivery....wait time ok. But ordered 1 pizza as a half and half. Half mushrooms and pepperoni half spinach and tomato. That pizza had 2 pieces with mushrooms and pepperoni the rest spinach and tomato. Crust was yuck. Save your money for sure!!!! read more

Pizza is OK. Didn't have high expectations trying out papa johns for the first time. They ran about 20 minutes past delivery time (30-40) minutes. I thought the pizza was okay, my boyfriend didn't even finish his first piece. The toppings aren't as fresh as we had hoped. The cheese sticks didn't have a lot of flavor to them and the wings were okay but bummed they didn't have boneless options. Also bummed there are no salad options. Probably won't order pizza from them again. Jets is better. read more

Ignore all the old reviews, management has this place running tip top. I travel frequently and this one rates with the best. Shout out to the GM Alex, nice job. read more

They grudgingly honored a legitimate coupon advertised on their website but were extremely rude when we went to pick up the items. They skimped on the toppings, especially the cheese (bare spots where you can see dough), and did not give us sauce for the breadsticks. Never going back to this location. read more

We ordered a large veggie fresh and there were veggies on the outer half of the pie only. The interior half was just cheese and sauce. This is not the quality I would expect from Papa Johns. This was my first and only time coming to the store. read more

OMG DON'T DO IT. There are way too many pizza joints in the area - do not pick this one. The pizza is terrible - you cannot even cut the dough with a steak knife let alone chew it. If I could have given it a ZERO star I would have. read more
