No one answers the phone. I placed an online call ahead order 1.5 hours in advance and needed to make a change and was told the only way to make the change was via phone, but no one would pick up. I waited on hold for over 30 minutes and had a friend call in on another line and had the same experience. Don't order here. read more

Ordered a pizza 2 hours ago and no one has come yet. Called to ask if the pizza was still coming and was told they canceled all the open orders as they don't have any drivers. When I asked why we were never notified, they said "Uh, don't know". I asked to speak to a manager and they hung up on me. The pizza is amazing the new york style pie is my favorite really recommend!!! I always preorder it so it's set for me to pick up so it's always on time and the people who give me the pizza are always busy but still say hi but most the time it's a brief, "Thank you" and then I leave. The inside looks clean and really nothing to say about it nothing really special some seating but really only for who is waiting for their food so the restaurant atmosphere is nothing to brag about but gets the job done. read more

Placed an order through Grubhub for pickup and the food was ready on time. Nothing amazing here but you know what to expect when ordering from a chain. It gets the job done and is in a convenient place to grab easily. We had their jalapeño popper rolls, spinach and tomato Alfredo pie, and meatball and pepperoni pie. Never ordering here again. Every time we get pizza from Papa John's, we find hair in it. The last time it happened we called the restaurant to tell them that they should look into why there's hair in the food and the employee we spoke to told us "Oh, well that happens sometimes" and hung up. Now I'm not a chef or anything, hence why we ordered pizza but I'm almost certain that pizza shouldn't be served with hair in it. So maybe instead of telling customers that it's a normal occurrence, you should look into that. Just sayin read more

Ordered 3 hours ahead of delivery time. Ordered delivered 45 minutes late. The person answering the inquiry started with there was an accident then it will be the first order out. Told him that the order was on its way 45 minutes ago. Disorganized but worse everything was cool when finally delivered. The contents of one box was scattered as if dropped and thrown back in the box. How horrible is that. The Pizza was Not fresh as it appeared as it had been reheated. The crust tough, the pepperoni burnt and dried up. Just bad by anyone's point of view. A wasted $33 dollars for two little girls who waited patiently and then got this crap. I have only ordered delivery here as nothing else delivers to my neighborhood. After several bad deliveries yesterday tops them all. The manager on duty offered to remake my raw uncut pizza. Upon delivery they requested the old pizza which o had already discarded. The driver said he could not leave the fresh pizza without getting the old one. This would have been ok, if I was informed before hand. Then I would have not thrown it away. I had decided to boycott them for his racial slurs. However I have given them. Not really sure why there's so many bad reviews on this place. The food is always good (it's pizza, not gourmet cooking, but it's good pizza) and they give you those little garlic sauces, which is fun. Writing this review because I tried their burger pizza and those little jalapeño things today and they were delicious. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because they forgot our 2-liter soda. But besides that, everything was hot and tasted good. read more

Our pizza had hair in it we called them and they refuse to give me a refund and we were told it happens there was nothing they could do. This is the 2 time we have gotten pizza from them with hair in it. We will never order pizza from them again if you want good pizza without hair go to Grottos their pizza is much better and you don't get hair with it. read more

Since I can't comment on the store in Millsboro I'll add it here. Awful service. We ordered half pineapple/onions and half banana peppers and it was delivered with all the Toppings on one side n just cheese on the other. We called and they told just they would deliver the correct pizza to us. After 45 mins we called them again and they had no idea what we were talking about and said they would put our correct order in once again but we would have to pay for delivery......it is their mistake and we have to pay...not to mention we live 1 block from the papa johns. So my husband had to go pick it up even though they messed up twice. This is extremely poor customer service and we won't be ordering from here again. Tried to do online order with a coupon that I received in the mail. Website kept giving me a different price than the coupon so I called to do a phone order. Store informed me that they would not honor the coupon price. They will never have my business. Guess I now know why they only have a 2 star rating. read more

Papa johns is a great chain if you're looking for a consistent product regardless of where you are. This particular one was somewhat bad at following pizza orders however the food tasted fine. The deliver was sharp and quicker then expected. I would order again if I wasn't motivated enough to get out and grab a slice from one of the better stores downtown such as surfs up or Pie. read more

This was my first time ever trying Papa John's and I have to say I wasn't that impressed. It is a little better than Domino's but not by much. I'd give it a 5/10. Do yourself a favor and don't try the garlic sauce that comes with the pizza, it's absolutely disgusting! The crust was nice and soft at the top but firm enough beneath the toppings. Decent sauce. Terrible experience with this store last evening. Will try one of the many other options, the next time we want pizza. Placed $150 dollar order that included a pre-paid tip. Food did not show up in the 50-70 min window the app estimated, it was more than 2 hours late. When it arrived, everything in the order was cold, not even warm. One of the sandwiches paid for was not delivered. Spoke to the manager the next day, offered some free food (*some* of what we ordered) the next time. I only wanted a refund of the food we didn't receive and the prepaid tip returned. Was told that was not possible. It's a chain, apparently the managers are not empowered to do the right thing. Terrible pizza! We ordered a 2-topping pan pizza and mozzarella sticks. What came was a gummy, doughy, awful pizza the size of a dinner plate with hardly any sauce or toppings! And the "mozzarella sticks" were nothing more than cheesy bread. Really gross!! Terrible terrible customer service too!! They advertise on commercial that Sunday night during football you can get a pizza for $10.00. We ordered a cheese, thin crust pizza. It tasted like cardboard and cost us $16.00!! When I called back to find out why the difference the store manager told me that you have to ask up front for the $10.00 football special. That is just not right.
