Never had any issues here. Good pizzas delivered so far. Ordered about a dozen or so in the last year or less.

We were visiting family up in Southern MD and they brought us to Leonardtown for some sightseeing…read more They suggested going to The Rex for an early dinner since it was NYE. We got there pretty early, so it wasn't super crowded yet. We were quickly seated, considering we were a party of 8. Our waiter seemed pretty busy with the tables he already had, but he did a good job of keeping up and getting us what we needed. Our table ordered a variety of things, the typical bar food like fried mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, grilled cheese, burgers and fries etc. You'll have to refer to their review for their thoughts. I will say though, I didn't hear any complaints from them. My BIL seemed to enjoy his birria tacos and my nephew said it was the best grilled cheese he's ever had! So make that of it what you will. I, on the other hand, always like to order THAT different item. I'm that person. I also haven't really eaten hand held items or things I need to bite into in awhile, due to my braces, so I chose to have the shrimp etouffee. Probably not the best choice. It wasn't bad, but I just found it to be bland, unless that is how it is supposed to be? Maybe it's the nature of the dish itself? I'll have to do some more research on it and try it again in restaurant that specializes in that type of cuisine. The positive thing was that it was a generous portion. I just feel like all it was, was shrimps with a lot of onion and peppers, pan fried in butter and a small amount of spices. The rice definitely needed some more cooking. The next day, I repurposed it. I should have made an IG reel LOL. I felt like I was doing one of those cooking challenges. You know the kind when someone brings takeout to a chef and asks them to make it into an entirely new dish? I reheated it, added more spices and added an egg! Perfect breakfast haha. Overall, everyone at the table seemed satisfied with their meals. I think I just didn't order the right thing. The side we were on was more of a bar set up, so not the best for kids, but the menu was pretty kid-friendly. They have a great patio area outside with firepits in the middle. It was raining that day and plus it's winter and too cold for me, but I can see it being a nice option for the Spring and Fall months. They also had another lounge type place that connected from the inside, so we took a peak. It was super cute in there with artwork and "The Rex" neon sign. It was super quiet in there, and maybe it was just the time, but seems like a fun place to hang and get some drinks. Give it a try when you're in Leonardtown! Stay safe, Friends!

Admittedly, my clubbling days are over so the constant thrill of being ripped off for a…read morewatered-down Long Island Iced Tea is a distant memory but $55 for an alleged "charcuterie board for 4" that didn't have enough cheese to fill a penal colony mouse trap is a new low in captive pricing. Although the plastic cup of martini olives from the bar and the maple syrup as a crude dipping sauce was an unambiguous tell. WTF guys. Zero stars.

Mind you, I've had fantastic cheesesteak subs in Philly (home of the cheesesteak) and was not prepared to give very high marks for this rendition. But thankfully, the thinly-slices ribeye was cooked just right, the sautéed onions added the savory flavoring that only onions can provide and the Fit Tire Beer added to the liquid Orange cheese (Cheez Whiz or a variant) really added a unique cheesy flavoring. The roll was not seeded, but it was soft and held the meat and cheese together just fine. I only added a little salt and pepper because I do like my cheesesteak meat with some seasoning. After only 2 bites, I could tell this cheesesteak was a good one! I am going to try other items on the Greene Turtle menu now that I've sampled their cheesesteak sub! The waitress was friendly, engaging and very pregnant, but she did not appear to be uncomfortable and was attentive to our needs. The volume of the music from the overhead speakers was just a touch too loud, so much so, that waitress had trouble hearing my order, so I had to stand up slightly and talk louder than usual to make sure she could hear my order. Bottom line, the cheesesteak was tasty and satisfying and now I've found good purveyor of the cheesesteak!

The venue was also nice for fitting the whole party with plenty of televisions surrounding the restaurant. What brings my rating to a "2" is simply the food. It was not bad, but also not good. I had the crab soup. It was very salty and had a weak flavor. If you are going here to hangout, great; going to enjoy a delicious dinner? I think not...

There are 4 large bars that have everything from Desserts to Fresh Fruits, Pizza, Fried foods, A select few Chinese American dishes, Seafood, Noodles, Rice, Soups, Chicken on a stick, and lots of just downright odd choices(Baked soggy mushrooms, lots of strange Mayonnaise concoctions and chicken coated in peanut butter.) The food quality was kinda low...but its a buffet so what can you expect? Overall, the food was edible, filling and affordable but nowhere near what I would call "Delicious". It was About $26 or so for 2 people during lunchtime All You can Eat. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The Restaurant and Buffet was clean and well maintained. Its really DECENT and based on the food alone, I would have given it 2.5-3 stars but the overall experience is Good so 4 stars it gets. If you are tying to feed a whole bunch of people for an extremely good price, this is the place to go. Would be a godsend if I were Poor or Homeless and needed one good meal a day.
