Great cheese pizza and combination. Affordable and time-friendly, employees were respectful and friendly

We love the food here. Also All 3 desserts are something we order often. .i have noticed the prices here mostly have remained the same while most restaurants have increased their prices a lot. I do see good options in the deal sections so that helps. It's one of our favorite pizza places. And Friendly service always. read more

We ordered a few pizzas and wings for a birthday party. The online ordering was easy and efficient. I got a call the day before my event to confirm my order, which I appreciated. My order was ready at the time specified, and the food was very good. Would order from them again if I'm in the area. read more

Good pizza spot and quick good service and clean stove. Liked their veggie pizza and cheese bread Didn't like their phone service. The person on the phone (which seemed service company) had no clue what special the store had. So I had to drive to store to find out. Other than that all was good read more

My daughter loves the cheese pizza here. I personally like their vegetable pizza, the manager makes sure that its always the way i like it. The vibrant mix of toppings--like bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and olives--adds a burst of flavor without overwhelming the cheese. The blend is just right, ensuring each slice is both satisfying and light. The place and people who work there are always warm and inviting. read more

Our go-to pizza place for years. Love their pizzas, consistently good. They have good deals frequently and the staff is friendly. All in all, a great pizza place. read more

I always get a good pizza so I recommend this Papa John's. I love it. Service is always fast and the ingredients are fresh and tasty.

Had a wonderful experience, my order was done on time specified. My pizza was great! Friendly service. I will be getting pizza from here again. read more

The Pizza was not good. I asked for well done and it was barley even cooked. Once you grabbed a slice all the toppings came off. The dough was so soft. I called and spoke with the manager and he said he couldn't refund me but send me a new one instead. I reluctantly agreed and told him I wanted it extra crispy almost burned and he said he got it. New on came and it was just more of the same. Floppy soft barley cooked pizza. I would not recommend this to anyone. Unfortunately this is the standard at domino's too. Stick with mountain Mike's or anything else. Frozen pizza is better than this papa John's pizza. read more

I like ordering from this restaurant. Been coming here for years. Food is always good. Any issue they promptly correct it too. Nice staff.

Pizza was ordered for my son's school to be delivered at lunch and never made it. Why? Because someone made a mistake by making an order to a preschool at 11:45pm instead of am. This "simple mistake" left twenty 4 year olds without lunch and the teachers scrambling to feed them. Parents did not send their kids to school because they were expecting thwir kids to be fed and they weren't. When the store was confronted by my wife who made the order, they were rude and very unsympathetic. When I went to thw location after work because they acted as though they could not understand me over the phone, the narrative went from not knowing anything about the situation to explaining why the mistake was made WITHIUT ME GOING INTO DETAIL! I asked them to rectify it by sending free pizzas to my son's class to make up for their miatake and they refused saying all he could do was give a refund yet he wanted to offer me a free pizza personally which I declined. Horrible customer service and management read more

Thanks to the pandemic, like most of us, I've been ordering delivery a thousand fold more times. This Papa John's location has never let me down over the last 9 months--each time the food was delivered very hot and fresh with on a few minor omissions in the form of dipping sauce. At times, I was astonished at how fast the pizza arrived; we're talking like 20 minutes at peak times! I almost exclusively use the papa john's app which is one of the best delivery apps around; the app has plenty of deals and it's easy to configure what you want. Another good bonus of using the app is the "dough" you can accrue via rewards which seemed to add up pretty quickly for a nice savings. My favorite go-tos have been the papadias lately. At around 6 dollars they are affordable and very very large take on inverted pizza sandwiches. I even added some of my own mustard to make it similar to a Stromboli. My other favorite thing, in a carb-addicted, nostalgic way, are the breadsticks with garlic butter sauce. Simple and tasty with an addictive quality to them (oink). I've been impressed with this Papa John's location so I thought they were deserving of a review. A very consistent pizza delivery experience. 3.5 stars for the pizza and 4.5 stars for the delivery/service. read more

We ordered Papa John's pizza through Grubhub for delivery. Ordered a stuffed crust pizza with make your own toppings. Food arrived on time. There was one topping missing. The pizza was soggy and couldn't be held up for eating without support. The ingredients did not taste fresh. We have a favorite pizza place but that recently got removed from Grubhub delivery so we gave this a try since it was nearby. Not ordering again any time soon. read more

Decent pizza joint! I was in between 3 and 4 stars but ultimately went to 3 because it is pretty pricey for a specialty pizza compared to some of the others that I love. 3 stars is still a good rating in my book and I look forward to trying them again. The garlic knots are awesome and you get to pick a dipping sauce which is nice. I also love the garlic dipping sauce that comes with the pizza so you can enjoy your crust in a way that is different from most places. My least favorite thing, and this is totally a pizza preference, is that they seem to put all the toppings under the cheese. I like a place that kind of mixes it all together so that the cheese does not make it to top heavy and cause the whole topping/cheese combo to fall off the crust. If you have ever experienced this you know exactly what I am talking about. Overall, great customer service, good food and you can shop nearby if you walk in and place your order to go. Good addition to the neighborhood! read more

Papa Johns Pizza - Grand opening! - Pizza Near Me - Hayward, California

The food is great and the customer service was exceptional. I was told my food would take 10 mins; it was ready in 8 mins and the guy brought it to me while I was sitting on the phone in my car; I was not expecting that, but it was definitely appreciated. When I went in to place the order; the guy that took my order was friendly and helpful in helping me place the order. The place was organized and had seating available, but do to the need to speak on the phone I left the building and sat on in my car. read more

I can only give this place a mediocre review- because while the pizza tastes FANTASTIC the delivery is either great or a complete disaster (photos attached). It's a great alternative when you're tired of Dominos and Pizza Guys, but know that you should check your pizza before the driver leaves to ensure you don't have an experience like mine! read more

Food and service. Exelente. Fast delivery and fresh pizza I do recommend 100%. And exelente comunicativa

We order here from Castro Valley. This staff is kind, courteous, and professional. Our last order consisted of cheese sticks and the stuffed crust pizza. Both were prepared better than expected. Nothing was over cooked, undercooked, or stale. The cheese sticks were better than I've had in a very long time from other locations. Food was hot and earlier than expected. Excellent! read more

Fuck this place. I waited almost an hour to have a driver assigned to my delivery so I called to see if maybe I could pick up or pay extra for a driver and he was so mean for no reason. I know they have no control over doordash and I was just seeing if I should cancel my order and maybe pay them extra instead for extra help but the man was mean and condescending for no reason. I managed cafes for years and would have been happy to pay more and work with them but he was so fucking rude so fuck them read more

Definitely the worst service I have ever had. The pizza never showed. Ordered at 9:10 pm with a delivery time of 33-40 mins. Fine I get a text at 9:44 the pizza is on its way ight cool. I call them at 10:14 to get "oh your pizza is coming out the oven now" hmm I got a text 30 mins ago saying it was on its way what's the delay the usual we are short a driver excuse.. Bet understandable not 30 mins after y'all push through in the system that the pizza is already on its way so your time quota looks good. Pizza is supposed to be on its way. The over me a large pizza on my next order like I will be ordering from them again. I call back at 10:32 thought the pizza was coming oh it just came out the oven huh??? 10:35 I get a call while I am on the phone with the shift manager from a number (he stated his manager was going to give me a call in 5-10 mins.... This never happened) it's the driver stating that he will be at my apartment (6 mins away) in 13 mins. Wait what????!?!? The shift manager is stating that the driver is waiting on the okay to deliver the food do I want it or not. Pizza places tend to "if we don't deliver by X amount of time your pizza is free" however this establishment who took my money instantly online stated that they can not bring the pizza for free and issue me a refund... bad business as far as I am concerned. They wasted money and time on the food and lost a customer. I am still waiting on my refund to hit my account and the manager to give me a call. Terrible business. Buyer beware P.s. I am pro business and love to leave positive reviews 98% of all my reviews are complimentary this is only my 2nd negative review (I waited 3 days to post this waited on some resolution from the manager MOON, who never called) only because Of such terrible service. I love Papa John's and esp when it comes to me from this location! The manger (owner?) - Moon is super courteous, helpful and genuinely cares about getting things done on time and right, I've spoken to her on a couple of occasions reg bulk orders. I don't get that vibe in many places nowadays. I've never had issues with delays or calls, I've almost always gone to my pizza being ready to go or 2min away. It's def my reliable regular! read more

I ordered a vegetable pizza with three toppings and only around 15% of the pizza had any toppings, absolutely disgraceful greed by the owners. When you order toppings, one expects a decent covering of toppings. read more

2 stars for the garlic knots. Ordered cheesy bread, 16 wings, 8 knots, and a salad thru Door Dash. Received: no salad, 14 wings, and 7 knots and the cheesy bread. Nobody out papa's the John. Pizza was gucci and the service was even more gucci. Best papa John's I've ever been too

Absolutely the bottom of the barrel , if I wanted anything worse I would lick the bottom of my shoe Where do I start 1. They can't get an order right I ordered a Vegi pizza and it had sparatic sausage and my wife couldn't eat it even though I picked the sausage off 2. The sauce has no flavor they must salt & pepper ketchup 3. There ingredients ante worse than Sysco Never again ! read more

The Manager, Moon, has provided excellent service. The best service I had received ever. Stated that the pizza was a little uneven in cut but when I checked it was cut perfectly, also providing us with complimentary lemonade as well as an apology that was not needed. After that phenomenal and efficient service they have given me, I will definitely order from their store again. The pizza is also nice, hot, and made it exactly the way I asked them to. The Manager definitely needs a raise for the performance and quality of work she has provided for us today. read more

Seriously bad pizza! I like many other people love pizza however this experience was horrible. I ordered a build your own and it arrived on time but the pizza was not hot. I saw that the delivery person had it in a thermal pack so it was kept warm the best way possible for delivery. The toppings were not all there the crust was hard and stale. What the hell happened it's as if the crust was made in the morning and then sparsely covered with cheap ingredients and then reheated. I expect for $30 to get a fresh well dressed pizza that was flavorful and hot. I might as well have heated a frozen pizza that would have been much better. I'm never ordering from this location again and will be letting my friends know about the crappy pizza they serve. read more

This review is mainly for their delivery service. I've been ordering from this location once or twice a month since the pandemic started, and each time my pizza has delivered on time, if not early. They've never screwed up a single order of mine, and everything has always arrived hot and sealed shut. I've never been skimped on the toppings either... I would say this place is more generous than the other locations. The drivers are always friendly, and are also professional when it comes to the 'contactless delivery'. As long as they continue to deliver to Castro Valley, I will keep ordering from here. Knock on wood that this review won't jinx me! read more

I don't normally review. Can't remember a negative one. But this was the worst pizza I ever ate. Ordered in evening a few days ago and got here in an hour. Which is fine. Cardboard crust, which collapsed from oil and sauce when picking up a piece despite NY style marketing. No cheese flavor or too little cheese, not sure. Absolutely worse than anything I could have picked up on the frozen isle. Maybe it was a bad day for them. But I've never had a pizza I would describe as bad. This, not edible. read more

Very disappointing. We ordered online, and due to a problem with the system, they refused to make our pizza. We went to the restaurant, and they refused to make it for us there until we "called to cancel" our internet order. Yet, there's no phone number on the site anywhere to cancel. I still can't figure out how to cancel. They've lost our business. We used to come here a lot for dinner, and we're really disappointed that we've been treated so horribly. read more

Ordered a pizza for delivery online. Took over an hour and a half to get to me with an estimated time of 30-40 min. The pizza tracker said it was still being boxed after all that time. I called and they said they were very busy and they will make me a fresh one that will get to me in 20 min. I've ordered from this location several times, very rarely will it be delivered on time (usually 30+ min late). Always call when they are super late as their excuse never changes.
