Found ourselves hungry and in Indio, so did a quick Yelp search and chose Papa Headz. It's in a cute part of town with an outdoor ordering window, confortable patio, and cool employees. The burgers were perfect!! Really flavorful and on nice soft buns. We shared an order of bbq ranch chicken fries that were delicious. 10/10 recommend. read more

Excellent burgers and the bun is perfect. The toppings and meat were all fresh and flavorful. The lemonade was delish. The fries were tasty but maybe a tad overcooked for us. Great service! We will definitely be going back. read more

Papa Headz - Strawberry lemonade, smash burgers and fries - Burgers Near Me - Indio, California

Meh. If you get a burger just know one single patty won't cut it. Too thin to even taste. Order a double. Like I said it was --"meh."

First tried this during a Thursday Nights on Pierson here in DHS some time back. I liked the customer service, they were patient and funny lol The food I would say reminds me of In-N-Out but better. And better because of the toppings on the fries. And better because the burgers are better. So then I guess not In-N-Out? Either way the price vs quality of food is chefs kiss perfect! The food truck was clean, menu neatly displayed and they had the LONGEST line of all the trucks on the day I went. Thank you for visiting my city! 10/10 read more

Papa Headz - Carne Asada Fries, Cheeseburger Fries and ofc plain - Burgers Near Me - Indio, California

I want to start by saying that if possible I would have given this restaurant zero stars. First off, I ordered my food online and put in the comment section that I would like to have my fries well done. What I received was the soggiest, oil laden fries I've ever seen in my life. I'm sure that the oil that the fries were placed in was not up to temperature because they soaked up a lot of grease, they literally weighed twice as much as what they should have. Disgusting does not begin to describe them. I ordered a double cheeseburger with their equivalent of what would be known as animal style toppings at In n Out, I can't recall what they named this. The burger was so soggy(I realize I used the same word to describe the fries, but it is what it is) that I couldn't even cut it with a knife without it falling apart. The meat had very little flavor the pickles tasted like nothing as well as the one jalapeno they added to fulfill the description on the menu, and the bun I had to toss and just eat the meat because it simply disintegrated. Moving on to what they call a storefront. It took me 10 minutes of walking around downtown Indio to finally go into Gabino's Creperie to ask where this restaurant was. I was told I was there even though there's no signage on the front of the building telling you so. Apparently they have a window on the side of the building that has their signage but who's going to look on the side of the building? Also the inside of Gabino's Creperie had a very odd smell ... some kind of mixture of cleaning products and something else I could not even begin to understand. The mixture was quite off putting. Also, when I walked in the place it was a ghost town, no one up front and no customers. Someone came from the back fairly quickly and asked if I was there to pick up food, I told them no that I was looking for the restaurant Papa Headz, they simply said that I had found them! When I mentioned that there is no signage on the outside of the building they looked at me like I didn't try hard enough because if I had simply went around the corner and walked a bit I would have seen on the side of the building(Where nothing should be) a window it that marked Papa Headz. As far as I can tell there's no way to contact them by phone which I attempted to do to find out where they were. I looked on this website and saw no phone number. What kind of establishment doesn't have a way for you to contact them by phone? I've eaten at a lot of burger restaurant establishments, and this one definitely is at the bottom, I will never return. $17 for a burger and fries that I could not even eat. Garbage, I'd rather eat at McDonald's and I haven't been there in 40 years. read more

Great food, burgers were on point and regular fries were great with awesome flavor. The carne asada fries were average and the meat tasted as though it was cooked hours ago. We got takeout and all the food was packed great except the carne asada fries that broke its container and leaked through the bag. Burgers are above average and so are the regular fries. read more

I got the food to go. It was delicious, but probably would've been even better if it was eaten there. I'll be back for sure.

On-line pick up so easy. Not going to lie but their burgers are fire and like them better than in and out. Something about the cheese in the burger hits. Fries do need a little work, wish they had a crispy option on-line. But would strongly recommend this place if you want to crush some good burgers. read more

Food is amazing! A must stop if you are a local or passing by. I had a double with grilled onions and jalapeños. I am very picky with my chili and the chili cheese fries are a hit I had to order a second!!!!! read more

Food was amazing! And the staff were helpful and the manger was very sweet. And like the location it was in.

Big fan of this place! I have been following since they started as a delivery service in 2020. The little kiosk they have now in Indio is a cool little spot to grab some food while visiting downtown Indio. The PH burger I feel is a very solid good burger, and the various loaded fries are fun. And now there's a little floor is lava playground next to it, which can be fun for preschoolers. read more

I just left the restaurant. I must say I am extremely disappointed. First , we waited 45 minutes for our food. When the food came the French fries were half cooked and the burgers were so smashed all that you can taste was the bun. Sorry, could have been better for $35.00 read more

From the second, I saw the burgers and fries on Instagram. I knew I had to try their delicious food. The PH burger was mouthwatering. The sauce was perfect and paired with grilled onions with a cherry on top. If you're a saucy person, you'll definitely fall in love with the barbecue chicken and buffalo loaded fries. Hubby and I's fav spot in the Coachella Valley!!! Nothing beats their burgers and you'd be hard pressed to find something better. Juicy patties, fresh toppings and buns are toasted to perfection! The fries are great by themselves but we always get them drizzled in buffalo ranch sauce. Service was quick, the staff was great and the owner was so nice! read more

GREAT FOOD AND GREAT RELAXATION SPOT!! I'm not really a burger person but I really did enjoy the food. I had the pleasure to speak with Savanna and she was very kind and welcoming. I had such a great experience at Papa Heads that I will be a returning customer for years to come! The staff was super friendly & helpful for my first time. The food was fresh & hot. I recommend a double papa head burger with jalapeños.. SO DELICIOUS. The location & ambiance was also very convenient and comfortable. You won't be disappointed! read more

My boyfriend and I showed up 10 minutes before closing time, thinking we were going to get turned away. So happy they didn't. The guy taking our order was so nice and attentive (might've been the owner). Burgers taste better than In & Out. So flavorful. The BBQ ranch fries with grilled onion and jalapeño was so bomb. We can't wait to come back again. I don't normally leave reviews. But this is how I found them. So I thought it would be fair to leave a review. read more

The burgers are great and the service is excellent. Wish they were around the Indio area more often

This is one delicious burger! In the style of In-N-Out but somehow with even more flavor packed in. Their fries are incredible as well, the Buffalo chicken fries could change your life. Don't sleep! read more

Delicious burger and fries ! Great customer service. A cute patio space and clean. I love this for the city of Indio.

Got a double cheeseburger. Great smash burger and price was very reasonable. I also got the BBQ fries. The fries were perfectly crispy and topped with chicken, BBQ sauce, and ranch. Some places overdo it on the sauce, but they strike just the right balance here. 5/5 will be back again! read more

Exceptional burgers, buns and toppings at a little walk-up window. We loved everything. The presentation of the burgers is taken with care. Their fries can be plain or with a variety of toppings like poutine. We tried the Carne Asada Fries - delicious!! Love that this a family operated business. read more

Amazing burgers and not to be missed French fries. Stumbled upon this food truck quite by accident and expectations were exceeded. From the order being taken to the meal being delivers to my car , those guys were poetry in motion. Polite, engaging, and happy to be there which is something rarely , if ever experienced when picking up some fast food. Basically for the same price you would pay for a combo meal at any given burger chain, PapaHeadz delivers a fast fresh delicious gourmet burger experience. If you come across this business I highly recommend stopping and enjoying quite possibly one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. PS. I'm a jaded life long NYC resident who doesn't often write reviews but this experience was exceptional and deserves recognition. You didn't hear this from me but .... It's better than shake shack!! read more

Hands down the best smash burger in the Coachella valley. You shouldn't go anywhere else for a smash burger! There are a variety of loaded fry options as well. You have to come and try this place read more

I have been getting burgers at this place since they opened and have had them many times. The burgers are really great, put together very well, good sauce and toppings. I typically get the double, or if I am really hungry, I'll go for the triple, phixed. When they first opened, they had REALLY GOOD fries, perfectly crispy without saying well done. I loved them so much, just as much as the burger. Good fries are really important to me. But ever since they were at the Coachella Music Festival, the fries started to go downhill. Always soggy. So I started asking for well done/crispy, and they still arrive soggy, as if they don't even do well done like I ask, no difference. The burgers are still good so I have given them a bunch more chances....even after they announced the change of the oil they use for the fries. I don't know what happened, but the fries are still very subpar and I can't really get a burger if the fries aren't good anymore. If you are looking for a great burger, go for it, but for me, the fries need to go back to the early days for me to return. read more

Burgers, fries and service all goood! Tried the chili, Buffalo and carne fries and burgers! Making this a regular spot!

First off I want to say this business is very unprofessional. We waited 45 plus minuets to receive our order, when I asked for a refund it was another wait to get an answer just to give me my order and tell me no refunds are given. This company is scam. What a poor way to treat your company and employee, the one girl they had letting us know they were no refund literally looked like she wanted to cry and not once did the owner come out to speak to all the customers that had been waiting. If your not capable of selling at an event then atleast give costumers a heads up that the wait will almost be an hour. read more
