Came in with the family today. We order a double smash, Chicago dog, kids sliders, carne asada fries, and the Baja fish tacos. EVERY single item was prepared with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. It's nice to see these places still exist. And to top it off, the service was beyond friendly. First, it was an excellent smash burger and a great play list. Service was fair. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is outrageous to charge $5 for a Pepsi!! We are in a difficult economic environment and it's out of line to charge so much $$$ for a soft drink. I will return but take it to go and bring my own soda. Management might consider promoting " Soda Saturdays" and offer 2-for-1 or charge a dollar. That pricing for beverages is a real turn off. read more

Went to try out Marks burgers for the first time and I loved the place. The place had such a chill vibe and the staff were very welcoming and nice and I like how they let you change your seats and the food didn't take long to come out. The food was soooo goood and delicious, for the fries I was wondering why half fries are an option but once I got them, it was so much (big) fries that I only finished half before I took it home. The burger was also delicious and got myself a milkshake to drink (and before I left I just barely realized the extra big cup was filled with extra milkshake! Im in town for work and a friend told me about this place so I gave it a try. Its appears to have opened not too long ago. They have beer and wine and working on the hard stuff. I ordered the Ay Dios Mio burger (Served with Lettuce, Tomato, Caramelized Onions, Chipotle Mayo, Jalapeno Peppers , served on a Brioche Bun with Pepper Jack Cheese ) mine was minus tomato. These are smash burgers you get a single with each burger but can upgrade to double or triple. Mine was a single. If you look at the top of the bun it looked like it was place on the flat top but the bun was cold, the bun was grilled at all this helps with the bun not to get soggy. The bottom bum got soggy and the bun was cold. The jalapeño peppers were cold, the lettuce was warm. The fries were good. I would not say they were the best. Didn't really taste the parmesan. They were hot! Service great wait staff answered all questions and were engaging which helps. Since this place is fairly new its a bit sterile looking. Im sure that will change in the coming months. Please grill your buns would help the bun not get soggy. read more

Came to Marks for lunch and what an experience...I ordered the double smashed burger without cheese and we ordered French fries to share. The burger came without cheese, which was good, but no grilled onions. Oh well, the burger was real greasy and the meat wasn't seasoned. The brioche bun reminded me of Aldi's buns. Mark's Burgers is a fantastic spot that absolutely deserves a visit. The restaurant is nice and clean, with spotless bathrooms and an open, visible kitchen and prep area that really adds to the overall confidence and comfort of the dining experience. The food is delicious across the board. Everything from the chili burgers to the fish tacos and wings was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. The fries are fresh and tasty--slightly on the soggy side--but honestly still enjoyable, and easily fixable with a longer or double fry. Definitely not a dealbreaker. The staff truly stand out: incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The menu is also very diverse, offering plenty of options for everyone, which makes it a great choice whether you're craving a classic burger or something different. The shakes looked amazing (next time!), even though we didn't try one this visit. Like most places in California, prices are a bit on the higher side, but they're completely reasonable when you consider rent, wages, and operating costs--and the quality more than justifies it. We tried to eat here twice. The first time was a Saturday night, very busy, we got sat, but after 15 minutes never saw a waiter. Frustrating, but we committed to coming back at a slower time. Our second try was a Thursday evening, 4 tables in the restaurant. We were seated and got drinks this time.... The woman who took and brought our soft drink order said "the waiter will be back to take your order" but the waiter never came... At least 15 minutes went by. We left cash for the sodas, got up, walked through the restaurant, passed the woman who brought the drinks and a man who appeared to be a waiter, and left. Staff saw us, said nothing... When we arrived, we were the third couple and we chose to sit outside. We waited and waited and more people arrived, and we waited more!. Finally someone came around and asked us if we had been offered water. We hadn't been offered anything, finally we or served water and we waited more and finally a waiter came and took our order. Keep in mind the patio is now full, and all, but three of our tables had food; there seem to be a lot of confusion amongst the waiters, (the people dressed in black) very disorganized, we finally ordered the sliders, the wedge salad, half order fries and 'Ay Dios Mío burger, the food was goood!!! This was our first visit to Marks Burgers. We arrived just before 7p which was good because they got real busy at 7p. I like the layout of the restaurant which provides plenty of seating, seating options and the restaurant was clean. Oddly enough, the menu has just a few burger choices and it's either non-spicy or spicy. The menu does provide other food items, like chicken sandwiches of beef isn't your thing. The three of us split an order of fries and each of us had a single patty burger. That was enough for us. The burgers were just burgers. They were good but nothing special popped about them for any one of us. Our experience with service seemed to be 'everyone helps out.' I wasn't impressed with our individual server. Thankfully the rest of the staff checked in on us, brought our food, etc. We were thinking maybe our server were new. The service was good overall so we tipped well since they all pitched in. Overall, our experience was just alright. Not bad, not great. Beer and wine only - no cocktails. I actually thought I misheard when they said no vodka. I would consider going back to Marks Burgers if in the area, like at The Roost or movie theater, but it didn't hit the mark to make it a go-to burger place for any of us. read more

Saw a grand opening sign for Marks Burgers and ordered 2 smash burgers, fries and a milkshake. There is parking in front and behind Marks, but depending on the time of day, it can be challenging. It wasn't that busy inside, but there was a good amount of seating. The burgers weren't really smash burgers, but more of a traditional burger. It was ok. Nothing special. Fries were good as was the milkshake. Not sure if I'd be back for the burger, but if I had a French Fry and milkshake craving, I'd make a stop if there was easy parking. read more

I don't understand why this place has a 5 star? They must be relatives of the owner. First the waitress had no personality at all, must be because she was Gothic type? First visit to Mark's and I'm happy to say we will be back. We love supporting local businesses and this one deserves the community's support. Once they get their service figured out, it will be a fantastic place. The best parts of the evening included: the wings, the great covered patio, the great food (we had the chicken club, fish tacos, single patty, and the Chicago hot dog), and the friendly staff. While a little slow and seemingly a little scattered, the staff all seem genuinely happy and interested in delivering a positive experience. Our server, Aaron S., was delightful and went out of his way to keep our drinks filled and to address our many requests. It feels like the team is still trying to master quick and organized service so be cautious if you're on a tight schedule. We spent nearly two hours there but took the time to appreciate slowing down to enjoy the company, the nice atmosphere, and eventually the food wasn't a bad thing. We went to Mark's last evening and had quick and perfect attentive service. I had a chili bang bang, which was a chili burger served sloppy style (a good thing) with a bun underneath and the top bun over to the side. Lettuce, tomato and pickles on the plate. They nicely swapped out raw onions for grilled and American cheese for cheddar. Chili was excellent, and the burger was very tasty. I ate it all with a knife and fork. My spouse had a smashburger, which was also excellent. The onion rings were PERFECTLY cooked. Milkshake made from scratch and delicious. It was an outstanding and friendly culinary experience. My only complaint? Not with the food, service or ambiance at all! I just wish they hadn't painted the room blue. Not a food color and a bit too institutional. We sat on the patio, and the service was excellent. The fish tacos were incredibly delicious, I think the best I've ever had! Creamy avocado, perfectly crisp fried fish, lovely balance of flavors and textures. After seeing the pictures here, I was worried that the lighting was going to be harsh, but it was more subdued. I can't understand how a new restauranteur staking his reputation literally on his name would put so much effort and money into opening a new eatery with pub grub and a burger selection that has clearly been carefully considered and crafted and shoot himself in the foot hiring green, first-time front of house staff. And in addition to this door-closing mistake line cooks with no eye for the details of what keeps the quality consistent and higher than expected of that than your average burger joint. I have not received a single order where it wasn't either completely wrong or plagued with problems ranging from the order itself being wrong to the food arriving with the key toppings listed for that particular specialty burger completely missing. When I reported the problem to the night manager he argued with me which implicated that he was saying I was lying. He was only willing to offer me 50% off on the bill even though neither of us ended up with what we ordered. I have returned 4 times giving them the opportunity to get it right. One waitress went the extra mile checking everything. When my burger arrived she told me to check it before she left. It indeed was missing the coleslaw topping. She apologized, rushed to the kitchen and returned with a full ramekin. It was the closest to a perfect experience thus far. ALMOST every other time there have been errors. They do have one absolutely outstanding server with Siouxsie eyeliner who always goes the extra mile and double checks everything in your order to make sure it comes out right! I keep supporting them as they neighbor ROOST Bar & Lounge and they will bring your order over when you are at their bar. And again, the food is particularly thoughtfully created and a true step above the average burger. I enjoy being at ROOST every Mon and Tues for their open mic with Joel Baker and Karaoke with Sean respectively-- and I want this relationship with these two establishments to be successful. Hiring wait staff with zero waiting experience was a stupid move. I'm going to keep supporting them but checking the order before accepting it every time. And for all us Vegetarians out there I will say the Beyond Burger is an absolute banger! Best out there! Their fries are chronically under-fried and a tad on the soggy-ish side. Ask for them incinerated-style for a perfectly crisp absolutely delicious generous plate of fries. They also have great RANCH. UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW FEB 09, 2026, 6:39PM: The owner is so upset by this review he has insisted I take it down and has 86'd me from the establishment. I'm stunned that a restauranteur cannot read some very fair and thoughtfully shared criticism and just try to learn from it rather than being offended and aghast. The worst part of it is the ego and selfishness because it translates to taking tips out of his servers pockets. I don't get the hype here. Have tried it twice now- both times the service was gawd awful. Nobody knows what you ordered and randomly brings food out to several tables and guesses. They usually base it on- "oh, this has pepper jack cheese" Yeah- 3 people ordered different burgers with the same cheese. Not helpful. Burgers are still ultra greasy. Fries are limp. Super super slow service. We ran late getting out of there tonight because it took SOOO long. And getting the check also took forever. We walked into the restaurant just at the beginning of dinner time. We were seated and our drink order was taken. As of now it is just beer wine and soft drinks, no idea if they are getting liquor at the time of this review. We ordered the buffalo wings as an appetizer with the house burger for entrees. Along with fries and onion rings. The burgers were delicious and the caramelized onions were excellent. I ordered the special sauce on the side along with some mayo. The burgers themselves were actually larger than the buns. I ate mine like I would any burger and it ended off sliding iff the bun. My husband cut his in half and had no problem. This place is amazing! Pricing is reasonable and the food is great. I got the wedge salad(ended up being huge) and it did not disappoint. Crispy thick bacon, fresh veggies, and delicious blue cheese. I also got the chicken sandwich that came with chipotle. The chicken was moist, the buns light and flavorful and soft. We also got the triple smash burger and an order of sweet potato fries. We just had our first meal at Mark's. We're glad to have a burger joint in the neighborhood. The menu is great, with burgers and fries, but also tacos, salads, and wings. A nice alternative to Applebees, given it's a local business. The food is good. Seems fresh made. Service was fast and friendly. It's very casual, but clean and bright. The fries are really good as far as texture, portion size, and arrived hot. But the parmesan and truffle versions are very subtle, flavor wise. We had burger, sliders, chicken sandwich, and the Chicago dog. All were great. Prices are compatible with fast casual restaurants. We (4 people) each had an alcoholic beverage and an entree and split three half orders of fries. The bill was about $105. We will definitely be back. read more

Went to Mark's Burgers my partner and friend, and the smell coming from the place smelled like sewage and vomit. While the place has been opened up more since it's been renovated the blue paint used feels like a waiting room where your going to be given bad news . I observed multiple guests getting food incorrectly, and I am surprised our food showed up, correct because we were being served by three different people and it took a very long time to get to the table. The taste of the burger was not very good and the fries were very oily. my partner ordered a burger that had chili on it and we were only given three extra napkins which was very bizarre to me. Tim must be tough. But I didn't think if they were that tough. My whole party was having stomach issues after the visit. Will not be going back after this experience. read more
