After I replaced my phone in Danbury, my spouse drove us to a lunch spot while I futzed with the…read morenew phone. He pulled into a small plaza and there was Le's Kitchen. As a cook, I like to try making international dishes, and was always intrigued by pho because of its involved broth-making process. Sadly, I never had the chance to try it--until then. So imagine my excitement when I realized pho was on the menu for lunch. Le's Kitchen and its Pho Tai (beef pho) were fantastic. The broth was, well, divine. I couldn't stop slurping spoonful after spoonful of that beautifully layered flavor. [OMG, I'm salivating right now thinking of it!] The beef was tender and the fresh sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and lime made the soup pop. Soo good. I ordered the Regular size bowl, which was enormous; the XL size looked to be nearly a gallon. The great thing was, with a takeout container for my leftovers, I was able to enjoy a full meal of the delicious pho the next day. I will be back for more. Also on the menu were fresh spring rolls (AKA summer rolls; pork & shrimp version) with hoisin sauce and peanuts. The addition of mint to the rolls elevated their taste level to Delicious with a capital D. Such simple, fresh food made my day. My spouse had the Grilled Beef Pho, which he enjoyed immensely. He also managed to empty the bowl. Service was prompt and friendly. We'll be back!

The Pho Dac Biet with extra grilled beef was okay; I didn't care for the rare beef's texture, but everything else in the bowl worked well. The hot and sour shrimp with grilled pork was good and loaded with veggies, just a little heavy on the salt.

ORIGIN: Chomp Chomp opened in Fall 2024. It is the first…read moreand only Chomp Chomp. LOCATION: Chomp Chomp is located in the middle of the Danbury Fair Mall food court. ATMOSPHERE: Since Chomp Chomp is located in a mall food court, the atmosphere is as expected -- lots of background noises, scents, and activity. In a nutshell, not a relaxing place to gather and dine. CONCEPT: Chomp Chomp is fast food, but offers a curiously diverse list of dishes such as pastrami sandwiches, rice bowls, pork belly bao, and Oklahoma-style burgers. Likewise, Chomp Chomp offers a diverse range of beverages to complement your chosen dish, including mango milkshake, Coke, and creamsicle float. FOOD: So much is offered on the menu, but I've been enamored by the Oklahoma-style burger and have yet to explore the menu. As I understand this century-old regional burger preparation method, beef is smashed on a grill, seasoned, topped with thin slices of onions, which in turn are covered with cheese. Steam from the onions permeates the cheese as it melts. The result is a super moist burger in which flavors of each component are married, rather than contrasted. SERVICE: Each time I've visited the person working the counter was enthusiastic about the new business and eager to offer guidance. TIP: For a few dollars more you can get fries and a drink. For a single burger this ends up being around cost of McDonald's ($12), but the quality, service, and flavor is far better at Chomp Chomp. The Oklahoma burger is available as single or double. I found that the flavor was more pronounced in the double version. Toppings are customizable. For example, you can add lettuce and tomato on a burger, or add meat or sauces to fries. (That said, I prefer to stick to the original Oklahoma burger version in order to experience the regional burger in its original form.)

They run a lean operation....sometimes just one person manning the grill so you order through a big tablet up front. Choose what you want to eat and drink and the person behind the counter makes it for you. If you put your phone number in when you order, you'll get a text when your food is ready. I usually have chicken when I visit Chomp Chomp and it's always juicy and hot. They have a Chomp Chomp sauce that I really like, it's especially good with fries. Additionally, the brioche buns they use are very high quality. This is a good alternative if you're tired of the other places in the food court.

Normally they are so attentive to allergies. Lately I've walked out twice and had an allergic reaction bc they didn't know the difference between vegan/gf and just gf. Second, we've noticed the mugs for the chai lattes became smaller from one week to the other. Then we noticed orange juice cups over time went from one size to a smaller size, then another size, and now last week something completely small. However the prices always remain the same. I undetstand everything has gone up in price but from one week to another sizes should not be changing consistently. Your waiting more money on constantly buying to replace new dishware then if it were to stay and serve the same probably. I'm disappointed to see such a wonderful place starting to take a little bit of a tumble. I hope it starts to stabilize again. Also we miss "Will". He always knew allergies, and knew the menu inside out, and if something didn't work he would go into the kitchen and make something work for us.
