Great little place we found during our stay in Delray Beach. Everything was perfect. Dad had personal pizza with black olives, onions &.ham. Mom and daughter said the meat sauce was excellent over the perfectly cooked pasta. Last one in our party had homemade ravioli with marinara.sauce and loved it. Ordered take out and the food was pretty ok. I ordered shrimp fra diablo, shrimp Alfredo and a slice of cheesecake. The shrimp fra diablo was ok, but the shrimp Alfredo was really mediocre. Alfredo in a jar tastes better then this. The Alfredo sauce was so bland it tasted like straight up cream. The chef defiantly forgot to add cheese and seasonings to the sauce. Since the food was bad I thought maybe the cheesecake would be good. How can you mess up a cheesecake?? Well was I wrong. They recently reopened at their new location on Linton Boulevard just east of Target. The new restaurant is really nice & they have a large bar area. Their pizza is excellent and everything is made fresh. I love that you can order either a small, medium or large pie. We went there last night for Dinner. Both, my wife and I where very disappointed with the food. Had Calamari for an appetizer and linguine with meatsauce. The Calamari where way over cooked and very rubbery. The meatsauce was probably the worst I ever had. No taste at all. Tasted like a cheap Tomatepaste. My wife ordered veal marsala. So this is a little Italian restaurant tucked away in a little shopping center not too far from I-95. A large group of us came by here one Sunday night, as we were celebrating my grandmother's 74th birthday and a couple of singers that she likes were performing here. She was worried that we wouldn't like it. She was totally wrong. This place has your usual Italian favorites: pizzas, calzones, all those pasta dishes, just about anything you could think of. I had the calamari fra diavolo and also sampled a bit of pizza, a bit of somebody's steak, and a bit of tortellini. Others around me ordered veal, chicken Parmesan, chicken piccata, all that good stuff. We also got a carafe of wine (because I always like when wine is served in carafe form). The food was absolutely delicious. It's hard to get calamari right, especially when it's not fried, but mine was perfectly tender, and the sauce had a nice spice to it (and lots of garlic). Everything else I tasted was also excellent. Additionally, the entertainment was top notch. I danced enough to work off at least one of the garlic rolls I sampled, and that's good enough for me. Overall, this place had it all, and I'm sure we'll be back next time I'm in town. I'm just shocked that I'm the first to review this place. You guys really need to check it out. read more

When you picture an Italian guy, these are the Papa Giuseppe guys! I love it. He always remembers us.There is always a good crowd with some classic old school live Italian music happening. First, like many reviewers, I love the friendly and efficient staff. They are super nice and personable. I also love the beer selection. They always have Lagunitas on draft which is my fav. I've tried the eggplant Parmesan which was awesome. When it comes to pizza, and maybe this is just take out, I find the crust to be too soft and mushy. Found Papa Giuseppes about 3 weeks ago. Ordered delivery from this place a few times and never had an issue. I'm home after having a neck procedure done, can't cook so decided to try something new from here. My wife called to place an order, the girl that answered the phone pulled us right up by our phone number and was told they don't deliver here. We explained we have ordered from them a number of times and was hung up on. I called back and asked to speak with the owner and was told that we are outside their delivery area. I asked how is that possible you've delivered here about 5 times, he asked well where are you? I told him I'm on Atlantic and Military, he said oh you're about 4 miles away, we only deliver within 3 miles. I mapped from them to me and I'm 3.2 miles away. Rude girl that answers the phone, owner who thinks it's funny when you want his food. Being in the restaurant business as a chef in my past life, I can tell you, when you treat customers looking to spend $50-60 bucks once a week, sometimes twice, is a sure way to loose customers, and get a lot of bad word of mouth marketing, along with a whole bunch of negative reviews on different social media sites. I've had their pizza, and it is exceptional! Plus, if you get it as take out or delivery, you get a bunch of coupons for GREAT specials. But, tonight I'm trying the Chicken Francese. They offer your choice of pasta, either soup or salad, and garlic or plain "knots" with it. I had the Pasta e Fagiole soup, which I find is different everywhere I go. There's was more like a hearty white bean soup with pasta in it - no sign of veggies or chicken stock. It was quite delicious and very filling on its own. The garlic knots were nicely dressed with oil and garlic - they didn't overdo it as so many places do. Next, came the main dish. I always judge pizza places by their Chicken Francese. I'm not a huge fan of pizza - I'll eat it every once in a while - but, I prefer pasta. Many pizza places that also serve pasta do a terrible job. It might be because they serve so little of it, or because it's just not their specialty, but if you've got it on your menu - you should do it justice. The dish was served piping hot and was a very generous portion with 4 chicken cutlets, pounded thin and covered with the correct egg batter, rather than the heavier breading you'd find on chicken Parmesan. The chicken was so tender I was able to cut it with a fork. The sauce was lemony, as you would expect, but suffered from too much thickening agent (flour or corn starch). This sometimes indicates it had been made far in advance, rather than fresh when ordered. But, for a casual place, that's about right. I arrived as the early birds were leaving, and the place was packed (on a Thursday night). Maybe I need to try some more dishes next time. read more

After being recommended by a friend who received an invite from the owner, I was on board to try this place out. I have to say, I was impressed! Excellent service, food was far beyond expectation and the meatballs - oh my. Being quite the critic of all things meatball, I am pretty harsh on judging an Italian restaurant by the quality of its meatball and gravy. I was blown away - without a doubt, in the top 3 of meatballs I've ever had, possibly the top 2, but I have to think about it before giving it the #2 spot. The prices are very fair and the portion sizes far exceed the price. I have to believe that if this place were better located that they would get more business. It's very difficult to see off of Linton Blvd and the signage in front of the strip mall is exceptionally small. It's an open kitchen, so you can see the chefs behind the counter at work, which I like. The owner/proprietor is a super nice guy, always welcoming and you can tell he takes pride in his food/service. I give this place a solid 4 stars. I would always drive past this place and think to myself...I HAVE to go there one day..finally I decided to to make a u-turn and go there even tho there was heavy traffic..I got 3 slices of cheese pizza to try it out ...that being the palette of most pizza to begin with..and it was so yummy!
