We shared the MOST DELICIOUS HAWAIIAN PINEAPPLE PIZZA! A small was just enough for the two of us! FLAVORFUL and the menu is extensive. After reading all these great reviews and seeing the many comparisons to NY style pizza I was very excited to try it. Got the pizza to go and as soon as I got in my car I grabbed a slice excited to try it only to be disappointed. The sauce was bland , the crust was burnt & the cheese was very bland. As a NYer this was a far cry from any NY style pizza I have ever had back home. The only thing that made the pizza tolerable and gave it a little flavor was the crushed red peppers I added. I went to Papa Giuseppe's last night to get two pizzas for me and my fiancé and it was pretty good. If the only thing I was rating it for was my pizza alone I'd have given 4 stars because I quite liked it. However, there were some downers. I would have been able to order right away, but they don't have ground sausage as an available topping option, and my fiancé specifically wanted a pizza with pepperoni and ground sausage, NOT sliced, which was all they had. So I had to call him to figure out if I should go elsewhere or get something different. He was hungry, tired, and grouchy and it was almost 8 PM. The man who was going to take my order had to go tend to the bar, so after my phone call I had to wait quite a long time to even order. Then, I sat for what felt like a long time and finally asked if the two pizzas that had been sitting on top of the oven were mine. They were, but no one from the kitchen told him they were ready... and after I asked, and he confirmed they were mine he had to hound the kitchen for the side of meatballs I'd ordered with them. I got a vegetarian pizza without mushrooms or bell pepper, add tomato and extra cheese (add $3, which seemed like a lot for extra cheese, but whatever). My pizza was good, his pepperoni was average. I was kinda bummed that even the margarita pizza didn't come with real mozzarella, all pizzas only have shredded cheese. The meatballs were decent, but nothing above average. The man who took my order was friendly and helpful, but it just all took to long and $45 (before tip) for two pizzas and 3 meatballs that were nothing to write home about felt a little steep. Our favorite restaurant in Del Ray. Service is EXCELLENT. Three months later, the server remembered my MIL's wine order. Of course that made us feel very special. The eggplant Rollatini with Angel Hair is EXCELLENT and big enough to split. It gets crowed and very energetic on the weekends. I like the white zin. It's sweet. Eggplant pizza is good too. Only thing lacking is their salads. They are not very fresh and the serving bowls are terrible. The soup of the day was very very good, though, worth getting even in the super hot Florida summer. read more

After we were seated our server brought us water but didn't offer any other beverages, either ice tea, soft drinks or alcoholic drinks. We were going to order wings for a appetizer only to be told they were out of wings. We were also told they were out of steaks. This is less than good service. There isn't any good excuse for this. The manager should be on top of this. Restaurants should be on top of their game. After losing so much business this last year they can't afford to be less that 100%. I won't be back. My cousins suggested it wasn't far from zKings Point where they picked me up. Good parking and comprehensive menu. As soon as we sat down. One player of garlic rolls and another plain rolls with butter. We all thought the rolls tasted fresh and were a nice starter. We had pizza and aGreek salad. My other cousin had no chi, another ravioli, and another chicken Marsala. Two of the cousins ordered soup, other othered a garden salad. One order of wine , one had a beer. Food was hot, plentiful and delicious. We ended with freshly made coffee which was really good, two split a cannoli and on other two split an eclair. I look forward to returning. We visited this establishment on a Thursday night on the way to the airport!! We were in the mood for pizza but when we arrived at the restaurant we were told they are only available for dine in at 12" size which takes away any options for two full grown men that are hungry!! So we would be forced to order 2 12 inch sizes to satisfy our hunger. We then decided on entrees instead. My farther entree came with soup, which ended up coming out as the wrong soup. When we received our dinners we felt that was very fast but efficient for our time frame. My father's dinner was linguin with clams which came out very watery almost as if the pasta was drowning in it. He had it drained out only to find when he got it back it was a full flavor of lemon sauce with minimal clams provided. Linguini with clams should not be made with lemon sauce at all. My chicken Alfredo also tasted watery, very blan and no seasoning, the chicken needs to be more chared and grilled for flavor and taste. Overall poor experience will not return, will visit Italian restaurants in boca which know the concept of Italian food and service. read more

I order from here weekly and because I asked for an extra piece of chicken, they charged me an additional $10... Spoke to someone that works there and he said instead of charging me an extra couple dollars, he had to put an order of 5 spinach in the system which came out to way more...that was the explanation I got. Great service! Great food! We have done takeout few times and every time is the same. The food is fantastic, everything we have tasted so far, taste so fresh and delicious! The pizzas are also great, the dough is thin and crispy, just how I like my pizza. So dar, we gave tried , pepperoni, Hawaiian, eggplant, and another with chicken, all were good. We make a special effort to visit if we're anywhere in the area. We were at first afraid our favorite South Florida pizza place was no more, but found they'd moved to a new building very close by. 3.5 Stars. Because Staff was very friendly. Our search continues for a satisfactory NY compatible pizza that is in the vicinity of our home. In the 3 years we've lived here, we found just 1 establishment that meets our New York standards in Boca (Manhattan Joe's). This pizza wasn't terrible, but the crust killed it! Top layer (cheese/sauce/meets) were fine, but the crust was soooo dry. Cracked in to pieces on the fold and had no taste to it as well. Fried calamari batter also crumbled on the fork. Ordered their supposedly "Margherita pizza" for pickup. When I got home and opened the box I almost thought they gave me the wrong pizza. It looked like a regular cheese pizza with skimpy pieces of basil scattered about. A definite no no. When I say margarita pizza, I'm thinking big slices of white mozzarella cheese and fresh slices of tomatoes and fresh basil. I guess every place has a different style of making pizza. There's a nice outdoor area in front that's tastefully made private and my husband and I are looking forward to having dinner there. Papa Giuseppe is a very small authentic Italian restaurant nestled in a very shopping center along Linton Blvd in Delray Beach. This restaurant is so good it doesn't need to advertise--yep, it's that good. The dishes are freshly prepared, the menu is extensive, we tried about six things and all were delicious -- the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the pizza wasn't cooked enough, I will try it again and ask for it to be a little more done. Pizza is top notch - great crust and fresh ingredients throughout. Just stay away from the water - they need a better filtration system.

When it first opened it was outstanding. Aside from the lack of ambiance the food was worth it. The covid distance took it's toll on the place because the small seating space became even less! Problem is they reacted in the wrong way. They clearly lowered their ingredient quality in order to survive. The once mama's sauce became more like Sal's out of a big can sauce. The cheese had less flavor. It's the same problem that happens in SE Florida. They get popular, they lower the quality, people still come because lets face it your taste buds don't get better with age. Can't tell you the number of times I asked exiting people how is it and they say fantastic. I soon discover that either their tasted buds were blocked by years of BenGay, or they just don't have any. Well, it was really good. I hope they find their way back. We don't go anymore. The first bad meal we chuck it up to bad luck, the second is trend.
