Interesting place. The owners are very nice people so it's good to be there. The staff seems a bit inexperienced and waiting for direction to do something. Odd. But, and this is big, be mindful of the food you order. The Chix parm is non-traditional. Maybe it's a hilltown thing but I want my cutlet pounded, breaded and fried before it sees any sauce and cheese. Likewise, avoid the fried cheese sticks at all costs. They're not fried! Stopped here on July 4th as we were out exploring, I'm so glad we did, I ordered the Pork Roast with roasted red potatoes and carrots, my fiancée got the Chicken Parm, both were absolutely delicious and tasted like I made it at home, the corn was frozen but most places are the same, the dinners came with a dinner roll and a fruit cup with Watermelon , purple grapes and blueberries, the fruit cup was a very nice addition to the meal, I would have liked the roll to be warm but it was still soft. The service was ok, it was busy and the waitress seemed flustered, she was extremely nice and was trying her best. The ambiance was nice, we're not bar people but it's didn't have an overly bar feel to it. I would definitely recommend and we will be back for sure, the pizza looked delicious and I'm curious to try it. read more

What a lovely place! We stopped here spur-of-the-moment at 3 pm on a Sunday as we happened to be driving by and hungry. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! They also had live music and amazing vibes, especially for an off time. The singer was great, the waitress and bar tender were super friendly, and the owner (I think) even came outside to the beautiful back deck to check on us and see how we liked our food. Both of our meals were very solid and the portions were very generous! Would definitely recommend checking them out! read more

The cutest little place!! I was visiting the area with my boyfriend for our anniversary, and we passed here quite a few times during our weekend stay. One evening we decided to pop in and have a cute little meal! Our server (also bartender) was very friendly and you could tell she was loved by the locals who came to sit at the bar. My man got a burger and enjoyed it, and tbh i don't even remember what i got lol i was vibing just having a good time. But i'm a vegetarian so it must've been something i could eat. There was a small beer selection on tap (and i'm picky) but i enjoyed what i had (my man picked it out - it was something popular like shock top?). If we're ever in the area again we'd stop by for another drink and bar food for sure :) read more

I have been a long time patron of all the iterations of "Papa Bobs" and this experience has been the very best! as a woman in Becket, MA it can feel stressful to be at bars and have to handle men. Point blank. While at Papa Bob's (where, previously, I have felt uncomfortable because of men in that space) I was not only given excellent service by the bartenders but also given excellent service and care as a woman dealing with unwanted advances. It was as easy as letting the DJ know, who made SURE the bouncers (Joe and Ty) knew, and while the situation wasn't the worst it could have been. WOW. To have people on your side no matter what was a huge relief. Ultimately, the person had to leave. And it was such a great feeling to have someone on staff be on my side without question! Big thank you to Papa Bob's inclusive, caring, responsive staff. I will be a customer forever! read more

Service? What service? You ever go somewhere & not get waited on? When the place isn't even 1/2 full & there's at least 4 staff working the little place? That was my experience here. It took a Long time to get a drink. Then we sat at a table - & the waitress Never came by - not to take a food order, or refill our empty beers - but she served every table next to us??!! We sat for an Hour. Nada. Our friend (a regular there) told her we wanted to place an order - she said okay & then I watched her wait on everyone else who walked in the door. I didn't know her, had never been there & am as nice, presentable & polite as a girl can get. It was dinner time & I was starving, so I went home & made myself dinner & a nice margarita. It's too bad because we're in a rural area & it's one of just a few bars to go , but I can tell you - I won't be back. Saved myself some money though, so thanks for that! read more

We're "locals" for less than 10 years... and ownership of this bar and slowly growing restaurant has changed hands in the past few years. Most of the time one or both of the owners is on hand. Sandwiches and chips are generally very good: generously stuffed, and promptly presented. About a half-dozen hot food menu items are now regularly on the menu, generous proportions and quite delicious; generally comfort food. The bar is usually occupied by two to a dozen patrons; busy nights are some weekend nights when one or another groups have scheduled darts or pool games. On a very snowy weekend my boyfriend and I made a visit to Becket. The roads were so bad that we didn't want to go very far but wanted to watch the Patriots game. Papa Bob's was the closest bar/restaurant to us so we decided to give it a chance. The second we walked in we were greeted by Frank, Tami, and Bob. Throughout the course of the game we were lucky enough to talk to them more and we both really had a great night. They were so kind and accommodating - not to mention their food was delicious (AND Tami air fries all of her food - love it). The next day, when my boyfriend and I were on our way out of Becket, we realized his car died. Since the roads were so bad in that area, AAA couldn't make it to us for at least four hours. We called Papa Bobs restaurant and within ten minutes, Frank drove over to jump our car. I'm sure our dead battery experience was unique; however, I am confident that the way they treat their customers is not. Thank you Tami, Bob, and Frank for making us feel at home. Pretentious this place is not.....and I am a picky food snob. Having said that, Locals hang out, welcoming to all walks of life from bikers to drive-bys to date nights. It has amazing pizza and sandwiches and the meals are very generous. Nachos look amazing. Great outdoor space and outside bar. Chicken sandwich was better than I have had in a long time, juicy, full of meat with homemade potato salad that was better than grandma's ( I say that cautiously). We enjoyed music tonight by CO2( very good), which they have every Saturday and Sunday. The food and drinks were great. Jennifer the bar tender wore a smile that was very welcoming and our tiny pooch appreciated the water bowl she supplied. Drinks were generous and her willingness to step up and make a recommendadtion was appreciated on this hot night, which was confortable under the shade of their tree tops and umbrellas. I cant believe we have passed by here so many times in our travels to Otis and lee and never stopped. We will be back with friends.
