The first time we went here, we were disappointed. But every time we've gone since, the food has been good, the service has been great, and they've got a good selection of beer. In addition, they're accommodating for kids, particularly on the weekends during lunch. I would choose them over the other options in downtown greendale when dining out with the family for lunch. EDIT: When I went here the first time and asked for the bathroom, I was directed to the bathroom in the back, which does not have a changing station. I never knew there was another women's bathroom with a dresser I could use to change my daughter. I have since been back twice with her, used the bathroom with the dresser and no issues. Thanks for responding and letting me know! i have been here several times and have always had good service and tasty food. i recently came with with my newborn only to find there is no changing table in the bathroom. i had to tear lots of small pieces of paper towel and spread them on the floor to change her (to their credit, the bathroom floor looked really clean but it's still a bathroom floor). i wrote them a polite private message about the lack of changing tables and got no response at all. even a "we will look into it" would have gone a long way. sadly, i will not be returning until there is someplace to change my daughter that isn't the floor of a public restroom. i hope they make adjustments soon because i really do like the place. read more

I'm happy to say that since I was originally here they have really made some changes and going here for weekday lunches has now become a semi-regular thing. The staff is friendly and the food is solid. They've made some nice improvements to their patio and it's a great place to enjoy a summer or fall afternoon. read more

We have been going to the Panther Pub since it opened and have always found their food to be great. Lately though the fries have been cold which is a disappointment. The waitstaff is very good and always make things right. We will keep going to the Pub but do want hot fries. read more

We frequent the Panther because it's easy to get to, the people are nice, the food is pretty good, there's a few good beers, and we can take the tot. Solid Place. I think the burgers are great. I recommend anything on the pretzel bun. Frys are good and the portions are to be expected. Nice beer selection. The High School Pictures are fun to look at on the wall, but there really is not much of "vibe" other than all the photo wall art. This is my first review so this should give an idea of how bad this place was. Granted they seemed short staffed but from serving the drinks to getting the food, everything was a mess. Multiple wrong food orders served, asking numerous times to get the same drinks ordered. I stopped in today, the 25th, for lunch. Arrived arond 1:00 p.m. There was no one at the hostess stand to greet me. It wasn't busy so I don't understrand why the hostess wasn't at her station. I sat myself at the bar and the bartender came over right away. Ordered a beer and the parmesan chicken sandwich. The sandwich was OK. It was almost cold which surprised me because, again, the place wasn't busy at all. The ciabatta bun was cold; the chicken breast tasted like it had no seasoning at all in it; and the marinara sauce on the chicken was COLD. Huge mistake! Marina should be warm when placed on a sandwich. It tasted as if it was just taken out of the refrigerator and dumped on the sandwich right before it was served to me. I was ready to go, and the bartender is nowhere in sight. Evidently he took a break but didn't tell anyone so someone else could take his place. Had to wait almost 15 minutes before he came back. Got my check and left. Hostess was back at the stand, but when I left, she didn't look up from whatever she was doing and didn't say goodbye to me; thank me for coming; nothing. I'm not impressed at all. Food is just OK. Service really needs improvement and if you're going to have a hostess stand, it's really a good idea that the hostess actually BE there. Not sure I'll go back. Although I didn't spend a lot, I can get better food and service at other places in the area, and be greeted in a way that makes me feel welcome AND makes me want to go back. I hope that if the Panther pub wants to remain there they improve. The village has great Places to eat at and you all know what they are. If not, go there and find out. Things were going great. The hostess sat us and told us server would be with us shortly....moments later the hostess then came back and introduced herself as our server, seemingly having never seen us before. We ordered our $3 glasses of wine for "wine down Wednesday", accompanied by mozzarella sticks and a pretzel with beer cheese. Great. We drank a little more and decided we needed fries and boneless wings. Fries, eh. Bite into the wings...weird, there's a giant piece of fat in the middle...wait, no. WTF. RAW. CHICKEN. I've been here occasionally over the years, usually just for cocktails. Three of us ladies stopped for a bite and a drink after doing some shopping in the village. It was busy. Took awhile to get to order our drinks and even longer to receive them. When we nicely inquired what took so long she very curtly said "well we're short staffed." I get it, it seems to be the way things are in most restaurants these days. Short staffed however should not be the customers fault and it should not be a free pass to be rude. We ordered a Chicken Cesar sandwich ( very greasy bread and no seasoning on the chicken) a Bean Burger (dry as dust) and a Cranberry Turkey Sandwich (which came as a pulled pork sandwich and then a Turkey wrap)! By then we just canceled the sandwich. Every time the food error was brought to the waitresses attention, she rolled her eyes and stormed back to the kitchen, plate in hand! I'm hoping that this was just a bad day for her and the kitchen staff, but I won't be back. Kindness and maybe I smile would go a long way! read more

The only food I can comment on is the nachos, they were way over salted, the pico de gallo was as dry as an old fart and I can't even describe the melted cheese, some kind of a shredded cheddar that laid there like a lump.then as we sat there trying to choke down that crap we watched at least two orders go back to the kitchen.We finished our drinks left the nachos sit and paid our bill and left. we even had to ask for the salsa and sour cream that came with the nachos.The waitress was suitable to be a lunch lady at a elementary school. DISAPPOINTING - one word can sum it up. Stopped in on a Friday night and the place was dead. Never a good sign. Very cute inside and right in downtown Greendale. Nice sports bar feel to it and apparently like Cheers, everyone there knows everyone. I guess that is pretty cool too. That's about it for the "like" factor The menu had a good selection of sandwiches and apps to choose from so I was pretty excited.....until the food came. The food was bad, just bad. We ordered pretzel bites with cheese and they were the kind you can get at the dollar store in a box and microwave and they charged $7 for them. Horrible. My chicken sandwich was on a stale bun that was chewy and I had to pull it off. My sweet potatoe fries that I had to pay extra for were inedible because they were not cooked all the way. Hard and greasy, gross. Food was pretty pricey for something I can buy and heat up myself. Service was sloooooow, not sure why since it was dead inside. When half of our food was untouched, the waiter didn't' seem surprised to even ask if everything was ok with it. To me, it wasn't worth even addressing because I got the impression no one would care anyways. For that reason, we will NOT be returning. With only being open a few weeks, there are always kinks that need to be worked out. But with places with reasonable prices and better food in the vicinity, I hope they can reestablish itself. Pros: - Good beer menu. - Nice open patio. Cons: - Food is very mediocre at best. We tried the Sampler, which included 6 onion rings, a small handful of cheese curds and 2 mozzarella sticks (halved). For $11, we expected more of a healthy serving. Bone in wings were good- I would like to try the dry rub option. We had the Asian Sesame which was a little sweet rather than spicy. Their burgers are frozen, which not much taste/seasoning to them. Other than the wings, not sure i would give the food another go. We sat back wondering what we spent about $50 on. - Slower service. read more

Went there during village days and it was pretty bad. Terrible service, small ass menu and a burger thinner than one from mcdonalds, great beer though. Went there today with a good buddy of mine and my experience was completely different. Didn't have the rush of traffic from village days(still a good amount of people though) and the service was much better. I ordered the hangover, a burger with 2 beef patties, bacon and a fried egg on a pretzel roll and I couldn't even finish it, great stuff. Their beer selection as always is fantastic for a craft beer fan like myself, especially for a suburban pub/eatery. Service was great today and they really know how to create a nice atmosphere in there. Terrible service!! Food came out at all different times. Some of us were done eating while some did not even receive our food. The avocados on my salad were frozen. The tacos were cold. The kids ordered kids meals and were charged for adult meals. When the waitress was asked why she charged for adult meals she said that is what the kids ordered (not true) and they would have needed to specify if they wanted the kids meal. The portion was the same as the kids meal. She simply overcharged us. A good waitress would have known better or would have asked. Speaking of the waitress, the worst I have ever seen!!! Did not keep up with our drinks and had a terrible attitude. We had a larger group and even though we all had separate checks and all the food came out at separate times, she added gratuity to our bill. We will NEVER visit this restaurant again!! read more

Stopped in and had a meal. Got a burger and the chips. Burger was pretty good, not the best but a well done pub burger. The homemade chips were really nice because they had a good crunch and fresh taste. Service was excellent, very friendly staff. Beer selection is above average and the actual restaurant is very clean. Will will defiantly visit again. If I had to nitpick, I would say the place looks kind of cookie cutter on the inside, but still a nice place. read more

I traveled 51 minutes from a coffee shop in Delafield on the recommendation from the "Friday Fish Fry Guide" on Facebook. The picture was 3 pieces of battered fish and potato pancakes. The latter is enough to coerce me into the trek across counties. The Pather Pub is inviting, full of happy Greendale residents, proud of their local establishment. The menu is not overwhelming while still offering a nice selection of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and burgers. They even provide a variety of microbrews on tap and bottled, as well as a not-too-shabby wine list for the suburbanite. It did take a while to get a drink menu though. The bartender was busy chatting with two women sitting a few stools down from me. When he did manage to lay down a cocktail napkin in front of me, he slid it there without breaking eye contact with the ladies. It was a little insulting. I am a lady, and it felt like I wasn't worthy enough to have the one conversation end and have an introduction to the person serving ME. I ordered a glass of Von Stiehl Riesling while I perused the menu and decided what to bring home for dinner. The bar was a good spot to view the Masters and Santa Anita horse racing. When I arrived home with my four styrofoam containers, I took a good look at my to-go order. I ordered the pretzel "bites," mozz sticks, and two fish fries (one with french fries and one with potato pancakes). The "bites" were actually standard pretzels. You receive 3 with the order. Unfortunately, they were likely frozen and heated. I would love to see either pretzels purchased from a local shop that makes them or see ones made in-house. The cheese sauce was delicious, and a homemade pretzel would've made it the perfect starter. The mozzarella sticks were good, but they were probably also frozen at one time. I don't mind "frozen" if the item was made in bulk at the restaurant and they freeze for future use. I was disappointed by the fish fry. Even after an attempt to reheat in the oven on 350 degrees, the fish and the potato pancake were limp. There was a lot of batter on the fish that could not crisp up. Even the french fries had a hard time getting crispy. I am not going to write off the Panther Pub after some apparent boo-boos. The take-out could be different than the dine-in. I would like to dine at the restaurant and see if there is a difference. I am sending some friends from the neighborhood there and I will get their feedback as well. Clean, cold, but a darn good turkey bacon club. I was having a hard time deciding where to go and what to try for dinner. I stopped in here for a beer and selected the bacon turkey club sandwich and I thought it was delicious. I've already eaten at Panther several times, and have yet to have a negative experience. Yes, the food has been a little slow on busy nights, but they're a new place. The service is friendly, the bar staff is excellent and the food is delicious. Great beer selection. The soups are always good and the fries crisp. The sandwiches are flavorful and fresh. I wish there was a bit more variety besides just sandwiches and salads some more main entree type dishes would be nice, but the food they do have is good. I have tried this restaurant 3 times. I want to like it. I want to go there for lunch on a regular basis as I work in the area - but I can't do it. The food is overpriced and isn't good. The menu looks good, but the food just isn't up to the standards I would expect at the prices they are charging. The Chicken has hard, overcooked, and tasteless. One time I had a Panini sandwich special - it lacked flavor and I was disappointed. Then my last visit I had the chick parm sandwich. Terrible. I wish Ricardo's was open for lunch. Their chicken parm is really good - and large enough for two meals. The Panther Pub sandwich is worse than one I could get at Burger King and is 3 times the cost. It doesn't seem as if they use fresh ingredients in their kitchen, that is the only thing I can think of for all of their food to be so bad. I gave it two stars because it has potential. They need better servers, better food, etc.... but the atmosphere is good, they have a great patio out back, and I really want them to succeed, from a location perspective. read more

I went to this restaurant and ordered the recommended Ruben sandwich. The sandwich was horrible because the corn beef, well there wasn't much off it, maybe 3 sad 1/4 length tiny pieces. There is also a lack of customer service as well, as they did not apology our accept the sandwich was bad, but did acknowledge there was hardly no corn beef. They did absolutely nothing to resurrect the situation. They actually argued with me because I took a bite out the sandwich and that they would not replace it. This place has poor customer service and poor food (at least the ruben). read more
