Had Pantano's for the first time the other day. I was in the shopping center and needed some lunch. I walked in and Luca (the owner) was really nice and so was his staff. I had "The Guido". I was really impressed. The chicken cutlets were juicy and really crispy, as was the bacon. Good bread too. And it was all put together with care and really reasonably priced. These guys are ace. I can't wait to try some other stuff on the menu. If you're nearby, this is the place to go for quick, friendly, and most importantly, REAL food. Keep it up! read more

**UPDATE** Ok, this is to update the review I left yesterday, 11/12/15. I do not know whether it was because of the review I left or for the review that my co-worker had left, but as an apology, the owner of Pantano's showed up at our office apologizing for the inconvenience that we have had in the past few orders and brought us gift platter of bagels (with cream cheese and veggie cream cheese) and breakfast pastries (muffins, donuts, brownies, etc). He also informed us that the specific driver I mentioned had been suspended. All I can say is that we really appreciated the gesture and most places wouldn't apologize that way and saying thank you. It was awesome. You have definitely gained back our business and keep making your awesome food! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Review (2 Stars) I would give this place a Zero if it wasn't for the fact that their food is actually decent (pretty much just wings, fries and salads). I have not ordered in MONTHS for the reason's I'll explain below, but since a few a my co-workers have been having the same few issues...I just felt the need: 1) They always take FOREVER to deliver 2) A particular delivery man is always completely rude. He is the older gentleman. He always rude. He always comes into the office demanding this this and this with the nastiest face and the rudest tones. Then he lingers in the office waiting for a tip after being a jerk to everyone he interacts with. 3) They always forget part of our orders and when we call to let them know, they either say 1) it'll be reimbursed on a future order (have yet to be reimbursed) or 2) they can't won't do anything at all. Thankfully, we will not order from here again. Thanks for scaring away business, especially since my office orders multiple times a week. read more

I'd actually give it 3.5 stars! My family and I came here to get breakfast to go. The space was clean and the service was friendly. And if you check in you get 5% of your purchase. The food was pretty standard breakfast food and the portion sizes were just right. My only complaint was that 2 out of 4 of our dishes tasted so bland. But everyone finished their food and was full. read more

I've first tried Pantano's in Hewlett and was in love with their chicken cutlet and grilled chicken sandwiches. I moved no longer go to Pantano's in Hewlett, but I was happy to find this location in Plainview. I ordered from here for some time now and I've had mixed experiences with the quality of sandwiches and service. Sometimes the food is great, while the service sucks, while other times the food and service both aren't the best. I recently ordered The Mia (grilled chicken + avocado + gorgonzola + raspberry vinaigrette) and my sandwich had WAYYY to much gorgonzola (aka blue cheese) in it. Every bite was overwhelming. read more

Was at a family's bbq this weekend for Father's Day and was so excited to see the food served wasn't your typical bbq food. We just had our daughter's 2nd birthday party and we decided to have it catered by Pantano's. What a great decision! The food was phenomenal and more than enough to satisfy all our guests. We got a variety of dishes and I can't help but recommend all of them. There was eggplant rollatini, chicken francese, rice balls, steak and broccoli, rigatoni vodka among other things. Do yourself a favor and try their food, it's amazing! read more

This is one of the cleanest Delis I've ever been to. Everything is truly spotless. Each time I've visited I got friendly service and the food was excellent. Pantano's is not the cheapest place to eat, but it is definitely worth the price. Hands down, this is the best deli in the area. read more

I work early enough to have lunch at 11am and i figured i would have breakfast for lunch... I ordered the vegetable breakfast platter which is supposed to come with 3 eggs, home-fries, white toast and veggies right? NO... I must've been looking at an old menu, this platter came with just 2 eggs (which they messed up bc i asked for them sunny side up but they were very well done), home fries which def tasted like they were from 5am and not very well done as i like, white soggy (semi)-toast and more onions and green peppers than anything else. I didn't need the extra carbs after a disappointing meal so i chucked half of it. Not sure if i would come back. The menu is rather lengthy and maybe something would pull me back. Otherwise, MEH. read more

It was a pleasure to walk into such a fresh and clean eatery. They have a nice little patio and tables for outside dining. Very friendly counter help. I ordered the Italiano.
