I work from home at least 10-15 days out of the month. When I do I'll come in for half the day to Pantano's where they welcome me and treat me as a part of the family. They are very friendly and fair priced. But above all the food is amazing!!!! I order something new every time and I am never disappointed. If anything I am now trying to see if there is something bad on the menu for everything I eat there just taste so dam good! If you haven't eaten here I recommend you do so NOW! read more

Lo and behold the hero fit for a baby... I realize this isn't advertised as a "Hero Shop" like TJ's Hero's or even Jimmy Johns, but it is a deli, and they make hero's so how could they possibly be this bad? I knew something was wrong when my hero was shaped like a roll. So I asked and was told it's just cut in half and wrapped tight. Fair enough. Get home, open it up and surely this is not a hero. First of all it's a French baguette which explains the size, and a tiny one at that. Then I open it up and see that there is a total of three slices of roast beef. Again this is not a hero! Granted $11 isn't much these days, but my hero is as basic as it gets. Classic Roast Beef/American with the works. Three slices of roast beef is not enough for a hero, it wouldn't be enough for sandwich on sliced bread....3 If I knew I was going to be getting ripped off I would have went to ShopRite and got a quarter pound of roast beef, some cheese, a hero roll, tomato, head of lettuce, and just made it myself for less with leftovers... Cost aside it tasted like crap. French baguette is too doughy for this type of hero, and they didn't fill it enough to balance it properly. A hero needs enough filling to balance out the bread ratio properly. I don't want bread with a side of beef I want beef with a side of bread. Feel me? I ate half, and gave the rest to my dog. Bottom line, if you want a hero go elsewhere. read more

A decent place to grab an egg sandwich for breakfast. I have been here a few times for breakfast and once for dinner takeout when the place first opened. Average food at best, but a good option if you run out of ideas for a meal. Honestly, given the prices and other options in the area, I am surprised that this place has lasted as long as it has. P.S. As far as the free small coffee with any breakfast item mentioned in the Restaurant's comment below, I guess you have to ask for the coffee because it was not offered to me with my breakfast. read more

Hella good food!!!! so satisfied with the service & the staff amazing job!! Seriously rem-emended for breakfast lunch and dinner !

Love Pantano's. Been going for years... always clean (which is huge for me) and food stays FRESH! The employees are super friendly, which I really like because I like to feel welcomed at any establishment. I usually get wraps but lately I've been feeling the salads... Always Fresh and delightful. There's always Specials and oh wait the iced coffee... yummy && obsessed!! When I'm in the area Pantano's is my go to spot for a bite to eat, anything from snacks...breakfast, lunch and dinner. I believe they do catering too? Which would be awesome for my upcoming event. I will be in touch... Thank so much! read more

When working in our Woodbury office we can't help but to order from Pantano's! We all have our favorites and even when trying something new or different, we are always satisfied. We usually order delivery and are pleasantly surprised how quickly our food is delivered. When placing your order the person on the other end is usually attentive , even during busy times. If in the area please try! read more

Just read Mindy's review. I've always enjoyed their food. Never had a problem. The fact that Pantano's has been in the Plainview shopping center for 7 years says they're doing something right. Service has always been great. Friendly staff. Food is very good. If you haven't tried this place I highly recommended it. Just keep in mind it's located in Plainview which is also known as Complainview. read more

The food prepared and served here is beyond great. Pantano's has become my normal weekend routine for a few months now, and I can't start my day without grabbing breakfast (omelette with a bagel) from here. They've even catered a couple of my parties with excellent service, food, and punctual delivery. Not to mention my guests were all happy with the food served. On top of the great food provided, all of the staff are very friendly, accommodating, and take the time to chat with their customers. Will continue to be back time and time again. read more

Shopping at the complex here is a n exhausting event so stopping for lunch should be a welcome break but not here. First the place is lacking in general maintenance. Secondly the food tasted horrible. I ordered a simple grilled chicken sandwich lettuce tomato and a little dressing. What I got was rubbery chicken and browned lettuce a soggy mess. Very expensive not worth it no flavor at all. Never again. read more

Pantano's is a popular place for kids from Hicksville high school to go to, they make the food very quickly and you can tell it's all fresh. The girls behind the counter are very friendly and helpful and will take their time to explain to you the different things they have to offer. My personal favorite place thing to get is the penne alla vodka. They keep the place very clean and all the food is amazing and reasonably priced. read more

AMAZING sandwiches they are so great!! I love going there after shopping so local and yummy!!!

My office just got a delivery from here and 8 out of 11 were disappointed. Simple toasting of rye bread did not happen, salads were soggy and gross, sliced beef & gravy was dry, terrible burger on a pita & chicken fingers looked like burnt nuggets, read more

I love the food and sandwiches here, they're always efficient whether you choose to have it delivered or pick up. However, I ended up paying $62 with a $10 seamless coupon code (would've been $72) for two Alyssa salads with grilled chicken, a Mezz wrap, and sweet potato fries. 18.99 a salad, and 12.99 for a wrap can't remember the cost of the fries. Regardless, it is a bit overpriced. I don't pay that much in Midtown Manhattan. Either the prices are jacked up online, because my dad got a panini the other day with chicken cutlet and eggplant and said it was 9.99. How that's that cheaper than a wrap, I have no clue. Either way, that's the one negative. Next time, I'll just order in store. read more

For some reason, this place always misses the mark for me. It always looks and sounds really good but there is just something about whatever I get that doesn't do it for me. They have quick delivery and a lot of options but other than that, nothing special. read more

I am a huge fan of Pantano's in Hewlett, so I thought I would give the Plainview location a chance. I ordered the lunch special pasta, and added shrimp on top. Typically when I would do that in Hewlett, it was between $2-3 extra on top of the $9 lunch special price. Luca takes down my name, address and my phone number. I think nothing of it because a lot of places will leave that information on file for future ordering even if you are not getting your food delivered. I ordered the pasta with shrimp, and said I was going to pick it up. I get to the Pantano's to find out they had it delivered and he was already en route. I was 100% sure I said pick-up because I never have anything delivered to my job. He then goes on to tell me "Why else would I ask you for your address as he looked at me like I was stupid?" I then paid for my food which came up to $17.36. How on Earth did a lunch special that started of as $9 reach almost $20 in costs? I ask more about why is this shrimp costing me $8 more, in which he told me I ordered cajun shrimp which is expensive and it comes with 5. Shrimp and/or chicken was never that expensive at the other locations! I get back to my job to find my food there, and I look at the receipt which charged me a $2 delivery fee, and actually added $5 additional for the shrimp. This whole time in store, they convinced me the extra charges was all from the shrimp. So they KNEW they charged me a delivery charge, and had me believe it was because of the shrimp and still let me pay the entire costs, despite me using MY TIME and MY CAR to pick up the food that wasn't there? Not to mention my pasta was BLAND and the shrimp was not worth it all. The Hewlett location was much better. I don't understand how their pricing works, especially since a $2 delivery charge added is not displayed on the menu either, AND that ridiculously significant up charge to add meats to a dish. And at the very least, hold yourself accountable as a business if you misheard my order on the phone, and not try to charge me for delivery knowing I came to the store myself. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I will stick to Hewlett. read more

Came in here with my husband on a weekday while we out in long island to see what the hype of this place was for. Anyways it wasn't busy just us and two guys eating. Cashier didn't know what she was doing, didn't seem like she knew the menu bc when I mentioned I wanted something off the secret menu she said we have no such thing.... so that didn't put a great start to the experience.. so after showing the places instagram of the secret menu she still was clueless... anyways my husband ordered the gabby wrap without bacon bites and I ordered the megan wrap (not worth the price) We waited 15 minutes, and our food came out and what did my husbands wrap have in it.. bacon after mentioning to the cashier my husband was highly allergic so that was aggravating. But most importantly the guy that brought out the food got mad at us, it's your coworkers fault (so unprofessional)!!!! I started eating, portion was ok but the pasta didn't have enough sauce making it dry and not appetizing to eat, my husbands food came out and he ate half the wrap and said it was ok, wouldnt come back again. Overall, it's definitely not worth the hype! They need nicer employees that are professional (that know the menu.. secret or not)... read more

BEST salads in town! Friendly staff! We order lunch everyday from here. -The Mint Girls

I've only ordered like a basic b here, so I can't go too deep with this review, however I can definitely say that Pantano's is a step above the average LI deli. Namely because it's modern and clean inside, has seating with a TV (that's not stuck on News12) and online ordering. While I know I can get a BEC or turkey 'wich anywhere around the block, I come here more often than not for the all day breakfast. Why waste time and head over to a diner when you can get a pretty nice platter here on the double for under $10. Check my pics, but I typically get egg whites, some greens and sub potatoes for some lettuce and tomato (yes, I know, don't even say it). It's a sizable portion and perfect for anyone that eats breakfast at 2-3pm like yours truly. Beyond that, I've had a few simple wraps and pre-made salads and all have been perfectly adequate. In the area (and don't mind the parking at the Plainview Centre)? Stop on in for a quick breakfast/lunch. read more

I tried this place for the first time, dis-appointing. Ordered "spaghetti&meatballs", notice that "meatballs" has an S on the end? Well, when I got home to feast, there was only 1 meatball, and it mostly consisted of bread crumbs, very little meat. Spend your food monies elsewhere, this place is a rip-off. read more
