My family and I learned to make homemade pasta for my niece's birthday. Our class made fettuccini alfredo, tiramisu and a candied walnut salad. If you are ever looking to gift-give an experience, this is the way to go. It was so empowering for my 11 yo son to learn to make his favorite dish. We purchased a pasta machine that same day and he has been experimenting with other pasta recipes. As a parent, I will be having gourmet handmade pasta and homemade sauce made by my son. The gift keeps on giving! read more

A huge thank you to Pans on Fire for making our family event a great success! Bruce and Laura, owners and fabulous instructors - were professional, approachable, attentive, intuitive, have wonderful sense of humors and are a pretty darn cute couple! They were able to accommodate our group of 15 with ease as they have great organizational skills, have everything prepped and are able to multitask. They were flexible and allowed us to bring in some of our own decor. We opted for the Italian Dinner menu which turned out delicious (Caesar Salad, Handmade Fettuccine, Pesto and Alfredo Sauce and Tiramisu). We closed the evening with Karaoke, dancing and a lot of laughter. It was super fun making memories - thanks again! read more

I called today to ask about a specific salt required to help make my tofu scramble taste more "egg-like" and I was blown away with the service provided by Linda. (Come to find out she may actually be the Owner if this wonderful store). Linda took the time to explain different options and spices that I could use to create the desired flavor profile. Thank you so much for your pleasant nature, sharing your knowledge and your willingness to help with my quest to eat more flavorful dishes. You are awesome Linda, keep up the great work and I wish you many more years of success. read more

Best Birthday Ever!!! Looking for something different rather than standing around and just eating cake. My wife is addicted to Cooking Channel. Aspires to do more in kitchen. As her husband would not complain and should learn a few things myself. Dinner out can be expensive and loud. We found Pans on Fire in Pleasanton (CA). Organized Private Party. Group of about 15 which was just right for setting. Full kitchen, wine with friends and family. Fresh ingredients, learning new techniques (safety first); Chef Bruce with his wife Laura (co-owners), led us through an evening of joy and laughter. As they say, "Happy Wife...". ...Thank you!!!! read more

Great class. Always wanted to make these cookies but was afraid to try. They were great and the class was a lot of fun.

Took an New Years appetizer class with Linda and Sara with babe. The store was beautiful, filled with so much gadgets. Although this class was a bit different - separated into groups to make different appetizers and it was full, it was a great experience to try other appetizers. The recipes were pretty straight forward - they may be hard for people who don't really cook. I wouldn't say this is a basic beginner class because you would need to know some background such as cutting or handling a knife. It was very busy, but Linda and the very kind regulars were so helpful. Ate lots of food afterwards with Prosecco! Worth the time and experience, and definitely got me more into cooking! read more

There was plenty of space, comfortable, good visuals so you could always see what was going on. The owners and staff were helpful and cheerful. They also have retail - First, there was a great and varied selection. It was displayed in a way that was easy to move around, easy to see how it worked. I looked over their course catalogue and wish it wasn't a long, hard commute - they have a lot of great classes available and I would love to attend more than occasionally.
