    One Day Stained Glass Panels

My husband and I took a One Day Stained Glass Panel class with Roberta and we were pleased with the results. She gave easy to follow instructions, had lots of glass to choose from, and helped us step by step. She was easy going and the shop had a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you, Roberta!

Had lots of fun making our mosaic pieces! 3 hours there felt like 1. Very therapeutic and I highly enjoyed it. Will Come again.

Let me start by saying how great Roberta is. She explained everything perfectly and had awesome examples. I've never done anything with glass before and didn't really know what I was getting into. I had zero idea what I was going to make and playing around with the pieces of glass I was able to make an awesome mosaic. Selection of colors is amazing and some of the pieces of glass are holographic and capture the light perfectly. I got the Groupon for the 8"x8" and it turned out to be one of the BEST things I've ever made. If you haven't made something here you are missing out big time.

I came here with my fiancee for our anniversary. We made mosaics which turned it great. The class was full with about 20 people. Don't worry, everyone shares and we had no trouble getting the colors we wanted. We would like to do it again sometime.

Class set up for Nightlight Class

I found the Glass Studio on Groupon & planned a class for six friends. The owner was very helpful in the planning and getting back to me via email. We were able to bring in food & drink which was a nice perk. Each person in our group made night lights. We arrived and there was lots of little cups set up with different types of glass: fine, chunky, strips, slivers. Needle nose tongs were available to use for the tiny pieces or thin slivers. The instructor was very helpful with teaching & giving techniques on our project. We had a 2 hour time slot, that went over somewhat, but didn't feel pressured to leave. All in all the evening was very fun. Turn around time is about a week, and I will update photos once I pick them up.

    My beautiful mosaic.

My mom and I took a mosaic class together recently and we really enjoyed it! It was actually harder than I thought but definitely worth it. Just coming up with my design took me forever, then I had to find pieces of glass in specific shapes and then glue the pieces on. I'm not artistic at all so I had to really push myself. This definitely made me appreciate the work that goes into making these beautiful pieces. I love the finished product!

My first mosaic and done with a kit during Covid19.

I decided to try this as a kit. I wanted to do a class but Covid19 shut everything down. I am pleased how it turned out and plan to go to a class when they open again.

Good variety of glass art projects; from mosaics to stained glass to fused glass. Make sure you wear appropriate clothing when going.

I honestly don't understand why people complain about the pricethis is an investment in something you'll have forever, and the quality absolutely reflects that. The attention to detail they put into framing each item is beautiful in itself. You can tell real craftsmanship and pride go into their work. I couldn't be happier with the final result and will definitely be back with future art pieces.

Way Up had pre-selected and well-priced deluxe packages (for labor, framing, mats, and glass casing) to choose from which made the process much easier. You can also go outside of the pricing packages for more customization but we had no need to go to that extent. The framing was done in a timely manner and I received good notification when it was done! To add to the level of service, a week after hanging my painting on the wall, it seemed to have slipped the nail one night and fell, severely chipping the based of the frame. The nail positioning was my own mistake; I was shocked and worried about having to pay again for the full frame. I took it back in to Way Up, explained the situation, and Sierra and the team did an amazing job re-framing it in less than a week and at a small fraction of the original cost. I will definitely be thinking of Way Up Art and Frame for my future artwork and framing needs!

The fee $75, included a skeen of cotton yarn. We needed to provide our own hooks. The project we were making was a headband. Only one person completed it. The first day there were 8 students and the instructor had an aide. If there hadn't been an aide I feel there would have been too many students for a beginners class. Some of the students demanded a lot of the instructor's time. It was difficult to get clarification. The second day there were only 5 of us and just the instructor. The instructor had to spend a lot of time with a couple of students but she was more available on this day. She helped me with my stitches and showed us how they could be used in projects. Her one-on-one demonstrations were critical to my learning. I give 5 stars for Angelica, her knowledge, teaching ability and patience. I think $75 was high for the value.

They carry cute stich markers, yarn holders, lots of crochet/knitting needles, crafts kits, and knitting/crochet books. I love looking at every little thing there whenever I visit. They also have classes for both adults and children. I did not try the classes cause I was already a crocheter and I took up knitting during Covid, but I am glad they have these classes. There is just something about being in a yarn store where there are a group of people just sitting, talking, and making things... Another plus, owner is super nice. Very helpful but never pushy. Sometimes the hubby and kids are helping out in the store too. All in all, visiting this store always lifts up my spirit!
