From keeping up the beautiful apartment grounds and keeping the tenants well informed about the goings on in the community, COVID, pandemics, icy roads, whatever. I felt compelled to share my experiences. You never realize just how important the people are, until you need them. It's sad, but sometimes we take each other for granted. Last year my husband suffered a cardiac arrest. After 4 months of being hospitalized and immobile, he was able to return home. We needed to make the unit safer and I can't thank the manager, Teresa, enough for everything she did in order to make our situation better. Her quick responses to my requests and concerns were awesome!! Just an example, we needed new carpet and handicap rails put in the bathrooms. Teresa got that done for us in 1 week's time! And the resources she provided when it came to rent. Everything! Such a help! It's nice when people make you feel comfortable in an already uncomfortable situation. I can't tell you just how much my family and I appreciate all the help Teresa gives. She's a wonderful manager and has a great team around her! Thank you Teresa for all you do! Xoxo The Nelsens

She got promoted and moved out of state for one of their other locations and the staff was subpar/took a lot personally than handling business, with the exception of some of the maintenance staff and Kristin was consistently cool. Renewing your lease over certain amount of years they try to offer retention incentives, like carpet cleaning and/or cleaning of your bathroom or moving to another unit without paying extra. Moving out is fairly straightforward and if you do a good job cleaning up, you will get your deposit back. I was so thrilled with my unit. Gym and pool area is really nice and so close to all the attractions within the Landing, Boeing headquarters, the 405 and 5, SeaTac, and during summer training season. Plenty of space within the unit compared to most places in downtown Seattle and parking is about 50 a month in the resident parking area (although my car did get broken into after multiple break ins in other vehicles in the garage & i had rats in the engine on another occasion- they do not keep it clean out there in the garage!). Be aware of hidden fees (valet trash but it does not get picked up near your door w the staffs shifts & the trash in the chutes) and things not getting fixed like the security gate or one of the elevators were never fixed due to a part they somehow never received in for at least a year). I also entered a ticket 7 times to get my washer/dryer replaced and it still takes multiple cycles to dry. Hopefully the safety and security has improved since I left, and no one is pulling the alarm from the street every so often even the fire department and people got tired of responding. They also tow cars they shouldn't and dont on the ones they should..the ones who enforce it dont even check the facts and incriminate everyone. Also make sure you are courteous to those who deliver your groceries to you: dont leave them without any instructions in a place like this!

My husband moved into the Woodcliffe Apartments in August of 2014. We had to move immediately for…read moremy husband's work. We took the place literally because of Shauna. As a middle aged gay couple, who have to move a lot for work, we've seen some irritating behavior. Shauna, however, was welcoming, and really listened to what we needed. We didn't even look at another place because she was so amazing. It's the fastest we've found an apartment in over two decades. We had to take the apartment sight unseen, but mostly because of Shauna's excellent reassurances. She assured us the apartment was good, vermin free, and recently renovated. We got a one bedroom near the office, and it was clean, and the kitchen had been redone recently. It was everything Shauna said, and we felt we got exactly what we were looking for. The Woodcliffe has several amenities that really sold it for us. The office takes packages, for a yearly nominal fee. We live off of Amazon, so that was a necessity. There is a pool, a hot tub, and a decent workout room. (The workout room is usually dead empty except for the beginning of January.) We also discovered the office and maintenance staff are fantastic. We've had to get the tub snaked, and the garbage disposal looked at, and everyone that works here has been fast and super courteous. My only real caveat is the rent is upped every year. We stayed despite that, but know it will probably be upped again. None of the staff have any control over it, as it's a management decision.

*update - NALS begged me to take this down & offered me my FULL refund…read more This is honest from my experience. as mentioned it's not about the money. others should see more than fake reviews. You can look at my profile & see I very rarely post a review This review is based off of our experience living in unit O103 from Nov 2021 - Jul 2024 We moved from out of state for work, & when we arrived we did the final paperwork & grabbed our keys. When we walked in, the place was disgusting. They had laid down new carpet but other than that the place was FILTHY & A LOT of things broken. The carpet wasn't fully laid yet. We were paying for an "upgraded apartment" LOL so there was supposed to be laminate in the main room, & when we asked they said that this was the "upgraded" apartment They gave us 3 days off rent-which we had to fight for a few more days because of the major inconvenience (out of state move). We couldn't stay in the apartment until it was livable. We gave them a week with us out, & when we returned, while mostly cleaner, there were still SO many things broken! we initially grabbed our keys a week AFTER our lease started, giving them extra time to fix it up. From the moment we moved in everyone in the office was wayyy less friendly than when trying to get you to sign a lease with them. the washing machine didn't properly wash clothes the first full year even with multiple maintenance requests until one of the more competent maintenance people caught the issue. Gross. Many of our clothes got mystery stains on them after "washing" in the broken machine and had to get rid of them. There was a plumbing issue in our building that left sewage in both of the bath tubs, sinks, seeping out of the floors, ect. We had to tell them they missed our apartment & they almost didn't fix ours that night bc the leasing office did not let maintenance know our apt was also compromised. They LEFT the sewage without cleaning it all weekend, and when we told the leasing office the following week when we were back in town, they basically said "Oopsies, we'll make a note." we paid for cleaning services out of pocket. Absolutely gross and unsanitary. MOLD. All over the apartment. No matter how often we wiped with vinegar & bleach, left windows open, had dehumidifiers, left our fans on (which is hilarious they don't turn off bc of how gross the place is) - there was mold in pretty much every corner growing on walls & windows. We did put in a request and they told us it was just dirt! insane when there's plenty of pictures & it's obvious that it's mold. They basically scrape what they can & paint over it. Disgusting. Kimberly did an initial move out walk thru & told us she would not nickel and dime us of our experience, & that our carpet was in good shape compared to other units. they only offered us $515 back from our prorated July rent AND our security deposit bc they replaced part of the carpet - after they had us pay to have the carpet professionally cleaned ($300). Part of the charge out of our deposit was to pay for more cleaning, and when that "didn't work" they replaced part of the carpet. We already paid for that cleaning. They had a professional receipt. It's not about the money-it's the fact they should have done the right thing after our experience. We avoided writing a bad review while living there in fear of big rent spikes & not getting our deposit back - We might as well have left the apt in the condition we found it (we left it extremely clean minus the mold we found which is much more than they can say they did for us). We noticed some positive reviews from current tenants last year all at the same time & wonder if the office offered them a special discount for a positive review. In my new search made sure to not check out their other Seattle area property. We considered staying again bc we do like the location, but so happy we chose to not put up with this place another year. There were other things we could list but you get it. If you can swing a little bit more in rent it's worth it to avoid this gross place.

The time finally came this past September and it has been an absolute DREAM! The Property Management team is kind, helpful and most of all Respond with Urgency to any questions or issues I may have. About two months in my dishwasher was having some weird issues so I put in a request through the digital Residential Portal for someone to come look at it. They were there the next day, discovered the issue and completely replaced the dishwasher in 30 min with a new one! When does that ever happen in that time frame? My last property took two months to fix my ice maker! NEXT DAY YALL! The Daily Trash Valet is amazing and so convenient and so are the GIANT community trash and recycling bins which are convenient and hidden so you aren't looking at trash! They just installed a fire pit at the pool which I am super excited to get to use this summer right after my gym sessions in the 24 hour gym! This place has all the luxury without any of the fuss or complications that come with luxury! I am so proud to call Boulder Creek my home!!

I have copied this from my Google review. And while some of our issues have been resolved, after…read moremonths of inaction, several still exist, and each passing week new issues seem to arise. It took me nearly 4 months to write this review, as I was giving Boulder Creek and Simpson property the chance to make things right. However, due to minimal (if any) progress after months & limited to no communication - I have to rate this property a zero. When we came to walk around the general area- we noticed that construction was being done on our entire building. We were assured that it would be completed prior to our move in. We stressed our concerns, as the stairs leading to the front door were completely blocked off - meaning the resident could only use the stairwell in the garage to come/go from their apartment. This was a concern because the stairs in the garage are narrow and steep- which we pointed out would not be accessible for our dog (who has arthritis) nor would there be space for us to move our furniture in on moving day. On our move in day we received a call telling us that there was a last minute meeting they had to attend, so our move in time would have to be pushed back. Not the best first impression for brand new tenants. Not only did this disrupt our plans for the day, but it affected our truck rental, & the people we had helping us. (What if we were paying movers by the hour?) There was no regard for us and our time. Moving is stressful already, but this was an added stress, cost & an awful introduction to our first true experience at Boulder. Within the first two weeks (some of these issues are still current) we had the following work orders/notices that we submitted and brought to the attention of Boulder Creek: 1. Floor transitions & carpet not tacked down 2. Carpet nails all over 3. Blinds installed incorrectly 4. Dishwasher had a broken heating mechanism and needed to be replaced 5. Washer hoses were mixed & all settings ONLY sent out hot water 6. Cabinetry falling off the wall because it was glued and not nailed 7. Patio door (that was blocked since move in until more recently- has a different lock that we don't even have a key for, so it is not useable 8. A VERY strong odor of urine in one corner of the kitchen (mice infestation inside walls), and a strong odor of mildew in our kitchen pantry (both of these took a long time to address and are still not 100% resolved) a. After many phone calls and emails, we asked them to cut a hole in the drywall in our pantry only to find out the dryer vent was never connected- so wet lint has been flying through our walls. (Fire hazard! And the main source of mildew- which we still smell on occasion) 9. Our garage door broke 3 times within a 2- week span 10. Uneven sidewalk that is sinking into the ground, & consistent flooding with any rainfall 11. Mossy and unkept patio concrete (we were told this would be power washed) 12. Abysmal landscaping due to ongoing construction 13. Mouse infestation in our walls 14. Exposed dry rot since Day 1 of move in (part of the 'construction'- mind you, the dry rot was never disclosed to us prior to move in) We have had people in/out of our apt what seems like nearly every day. We can barely unpack, because every time we begin, there is a new issue. Unfortunately, this is why I wanted to leave this public review of our experience here, so others can make the decision for themselves if this is a property they want to be a part of. During our time living here, we had limited access to our front door, & ongoing construction 5 days a week for 2+ months. The above issues have made our apartment uninhabitable at many points. These apartments are well over $3200, and do not match that price tag. I have attached photos so people can understand the severity of some of these ongoing issues. I had hoped for more communication, and resolution, but it seems like that is not something Boulder Creek or Simpson properties is open to. The pros of our time here: Our building neighbors are wonderful. Spencer (the handyman) was helpful and acknowledged the interior issues we had, the construction crew has been very friendly and worked with us so we could have more accessibility with our dog while they were working.

When you call them, they can set it on the same day. About parking, we don't have any problem now because we reserved a parking spot, but before it's hard to look for a parking spot, primarily if you work late at night. Cabinets and other appliances it's just too cheap, so it's easy to break. Washers and dryers here always broken. We have four washer and four dryers downstairs. In the first week, one washer is broken. Second week, 2 washers are broken, third week 3 washers are broken. ONLY ONE LEFT hahahaha. We suffered for a month before they fixed it. Everybody can't wash their clothes . First come first serve. Because of pandemic we can't use our Gym and Swimming ‍ pool. About Mailing room/ Luxerone the Ipad sometimes is not working hahaha We can't get our package . Report it at the office and they will fix it right away. You know what I love the most here is all of their employee they are all friendly. Rent are crazy here too. The first time my husband moved here $1,100, I moved here with him another $$$$ that was last 2017 now our rent $1,600 plus(2020) probably next year it goes up again. I am thankful we don't have pets yet or else for a 1 small bedroom apartment without washer and dryer it will cost us $2k plus. About our neighbors We can hear them all the time. Note don't live next to the front door or hallway door My friend in the first floor said they can't sleep on their room because they can hear the door open and closed and also the people in the hallway talking everything.
